Good video. I like fake plants because they don't attract flies, and I find it funny to (try to) trick guests 🙂(And they can be stored and reused at another time.) A suggestion: a video about how to choose pots for fake plants. In particular pot size.
The problem with fake plants for me is not that guests will find out they're fake, but that *I* will always know that they're fake. :) I'd rather find low maintenance plants or find a painting/art pieces that depicts plants and flowers. I do like your idea of mixing fake and real though.
My mom has the greenest fingers ever! She is Te Fiti in real life! And I can kill a plant by just looking at it 😫 Having moved out of my parents' home, I really wanted to get plants but was so scared of digging plant graves within the first week. This video found me at the right time! Your suggestions are amazing! Cant wait to add these to my apartment!!
I love how we are trying to avoid to maintain plants and not kill ‘em but inevitably we still gotta maintain the fake plants with the dust 😅 I love it! We can’t win guys we can’t win lol thank you though! This helped me 😊
WAIT WAIT! One more tip: If it has Spanish moss or gravel in the pot, get rid of it! Replace it with dry potting soil for a far more realistic effect. Your friends may accidentally water it for you.
DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM???? I came here because I’m considering selling a of my house plants and just buying fake because I’ve tried EVERY trick in RU-vid to get rid of my little flies infestation and it’s so bad I’ve tried for weeks many remedies to rid them and I can’t take it anymore!!! From big sprays to yellow sticker paper to watering them in been oil and Dawn soap and hydrogen peroxide and no matter what they keep infesting my plants by the hundreds. I can’t even watch tv without shooing them away from my face every 5 seconds. I live in Los Angeles in a dry place I just am giving up at this point. I hate the idea of fake plants but I love the LOOK of plants in the home for decoration so I’m on the edge of switching 😓😓😓😓😓
I've had that!! Maybe not as bad as what you're describing, but I found Ceylon cinnamon and dusted it all over the soil of my plants and it seemed to help!
