WOW, That is nice!!! Riding through sand and sliding, the wet frosty grass in cold weather! Skydio crash at 7:45 lol . Skateboard tracks at 9:00 . Watching your friends ride is the same for me. Funny to watch my older friend try to ride. Blessed to still be able to ride. Awesomely fun and happy review.

Awesome review! That was so entertaining... The way you are using technology is truly amazing. I'm blown away by everything in this video. The skateboard, the Skydio, the Insta 360, all your other cameras and the sound of your wireless mic. All this with your incredible editing skills explains why your are such a good RU-vidr... I started on 4 wheelers and move to OneWheel and InMotion EUCS - larger wheels make them more versatile and no remote to deal with - all fun though

Fantastic review as always, Cap'n - and what a great skateboard, I'm super impressed at its capabilities in terms of terrain, as well as being able to carry someone like me (235 lbs) with no issues. As you note, it's not cheap but I'd take it over a one wheel any day.

That things a beast! It's more of a road and track board not a dry sand board and hopefully no one tries. It would be a nightmare trying to clean sand out of the belt drives. Even with paddle tires you would need to go in at speed to blast across the surface and not dive down and wash out. Another cool Product Steve.

Would you consider an episode of what controller to get for a drone simulator. I have a mavic mini 2 but would like to "expand".

Mini 2 is what is known as a GPS Camera Drone. There are no real simulators for those since they are super simple to fly (no skills necessary), so the sims you find are more acade style. For the sim you are looking for it is probably for the Advanced FPV Drone hobby where a massive amount of skills is needed before you even get off the ground. For such sims, you could get the super inexpensive BETAFPV Lite Radio 2 or 3. In this video I show one being used with a sim: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SnBToeyx0fs.html

I need one of these, in summer months here in Florida I can get places faster than driving. I'm surprised your using the Skydio don't you most always use the Mini 3? Being someone who knows them both well, which do you think is best at active tracking? I would have bet on Skydio II but seeing how well the mini 3 does in your vids I couldn't say now.

The Mini 3 can’t avoid obstacles in a 360 degree world, it is more of a toy when compared to the Skydio. The Skydio is the only consumer drone that is 100% designed for following active people and avoiding everything in its path.

While that is a cool looking board, I am concerned about what happens if one of the bands broke while at speed. Would the board suddenly turn to one side? Are there truck guards available for it too?

The belt option is very desired on skateboards due to the success of the BOOSTED BOARD brand. If a belt should break you would not notice it much.

Unfortunately the Mini 3 would have crashed before ever making it into the woods. The mini 3 was designed to follow people or objects in open spaces… not along a path in the forest.

Uh, in what world does any drone follow subjects better than a Skydio? It’s not a perfect drone by any means, but nothing even comes close to its tracking abilities.

@@BlownMacTruck the Skydio has one fatal flaw. No prop guards. Due to its size and weight the fact people rely so much on its tracking capabilities when it fails it leads to heavy damage. I feel like buying a dji mini 3 with prop guards is a far better strategy for most people especially since FAA will mess with your ability to fly it going forward since it is above 250 grams by a lot. Skydio might have the best tracking technology but it is a one trick pony.

@@BlownMacTruck no the reason I would buy the dji mini 3 over the Skydio is that although the Skydio tracks better it’s obstacle avoidance is worse compared to the dji mini 3. What that leads to is the Dji mini 3 being able to track less well but avoid more crashes. I believe in buying drones that will last me longer so I don’t have to constantly spend money on spare parts. If you look at it I choose the dji mini for practical reasons.

I hate doing this, but I have to put the word out about Eovan Board. I purchased their GTS Carbon Super board for $1500 and never received it. l've spent months going back and forth with their customer service. They admit I've never received the board, and have promised a refund. It's been 11 months. Stay away from Eovan.

The MAXFIND is great for the price, but if you want the gold standard, it is the Eovan.
