I once had a Cuisinart GR-4NP1 grill, and compared to my old George Foreman, that thing sucked. The only place you can touch it without getting burned is the handle--which sounds sensible at first--however, as anyone who works in a small kitchen knows, people frequently come into contact with other parts of countertop appliances when working around them. Add to that, the stainless steel case was always a filthy mess with burned-on grease, and grease would also collect in the heating element area under the bottom plate where it was impossible to clean. The worst thing about it was when you opened the lid. The grease on the top plate ran down and dripped all over the counter, making the counter a bigger mess to clean up than the non-dishwasher-safe removable plates. I finally gave the damned thing to a friend because I certainly wouldn't charge anyone money for it. I know Cuisinart is a big name in cooking appliances, but somebody was asleep at the drawing board when they designed that turkey.
Thank you for posting this comment. My George Forman Grill finally "bit the dust" after many years of use, and I miss it a lot!! I've been looking for a replacement. I will definitely avoid the Cuisinart. I want to get another GF grill, but so many reviews say the new ones are not as good as the older ones. It is so frustrating!!
💁🏽♀️Had the Delonghi Perfecto🤷🏽♀️That indoor grill smoked alot. Even though cleaning after every use. Set off our smoke alarm alot, though opening the window & door. Finally threw it away & bought a Weber Original Premium Kettle.
