I just bought this air compressor today 08/04/24 when needing to air down and tested it out. It works. Got it for $25.00 at harbor freight. Not bad at all. Thanks for sharing.
I have decided to go with the Bauer System and this is a huge plus. I have been wanting one for a long time and now it's here. You can not beat the prices of the Bauer system.
Okay, this deserves an award! I love what you did lol!!!! And.... I used this twice today. Had a sub with a flat tire and fixed it. Came home and my trailer tire was flat. Boom! Awesome job!
Excellent video, as usual! I saw the Project Farm video as well, good stuff. As for the light on the side of this unit, all I can say is what my Dad taught me so long ago: It's better to have it, and not need it, than need it, and not have it... 😄👍 Shine On!
Looks like a TTI product similar to the Ryobi. FYI, the instructions are also the same as the Ryobi in that you are advised to not run the inflator for more than 10 minutes without a 10 minute cool-down period. _The Inflator/Deflator can become hot during use. Allow the Inflator/Deflator to cool for ten minutes after each ten minutes of continuous use._
@@alotaku These days you'll have to reset the trouble code the ECM will set. (If you don't own a scan tool, it's a trip to someone who does) The ECM knows that cylinder isn't firing and doesn't like it.... A lot of the old stuff has been foiled by modern tech. JC Whitney tire inflators are one.
This Bauer inflator looks great! I was looking at the Ryobi inflator to have a portable device to check my F350 tires. A couple of questions; A) What is the max psi that device can go to? ( my tires are 65 & 75 psi) Ryobi goes to 150 psi B) Did you check your tire’s psi after inflation with the Bauer device? Thanks again for all you do making your videos and I look forward to seeing your next video!
If you already have Ryobi tools buy Ryobi. The Ryobi is a known quantity. They've been making quality cordless since the 90s Also you're always to check your tires with a good digital psi gauge.
I’ve never seen a dual powered inflator like that. I really like the Ryobi one I have which is pretty similar. Way faster to inflate tires with it then an air compressor. I wanna get the hyper tough tire inflator to leave in the truck. This way if it gets stolen. Even with a spare battery I’m out like $50. Instead of $150 for the Ryobi inflator and 2 batteries.
I passed on the Bauer because I have all Dewalt 20V tools. I got their inflator and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I got mine for $75 and that was with a battery during Christmas.
Looks pretty good. 16 minute run time and it didn't die you can't ask for much more in this. The low pressure inflator is really nice. I have the cheapo 12 volt from HF and an expensive Viaire to do what this does. Not for me as I'm not bought into the system but still looks pretty good.
Looks like a decent air pump to me. I really like my hand held Ryobi P737 air pump. That works really well too. I like Buaers hands free once it's plugged in. Mine has a trigger you have to pull to keep on.
@Dale Bowen.....I just finished watching that video. Although Project Farm didn't give a final ranking of all the air compressors that he tested, I noticed that the Pittsburgh from HF was towards the top of each category.
I bought a hyper tough out of Walmart 30 bucks 2 years ago used it a few times for a bad tire I like the screw on connector, light and needle for the sports stuff not a fan of the snap on connector
I am deep in the Bauer line and patiently waiting for a 20V cordless trimmer. I will buy it the moment it gets in my store because I need one but the Lynx is a bit expensive for what I need it for.
If you watched the vid from Project Farm the Pitsburg pump from HF was made of metal and all the others where made of plastic Next the HF is an actual punp with a flexible hose with a quick connect fitting so if the hose brakes it can be replaced. It is 12 volts as the Husky is 110 volt none in a car.The HF went off on overload when cooled restarted so HF WINS YA.
I have the Black and Decker inflator, and I think it might be just a bit better. They appear to be virtually identical as far as features go except that the Black and Decker can also use an AC plug that's also stowed on board. Speed and battery endurance appear to be about the same... I've never managed to wear out the battery yet.. Even if I did, I know it'll take at least about 30 minutes, during which time I can go over and grab another battery. The knock-off batteries on Amazon are actually quite good.. I can get a pair of 5ah 20v max batteries for $60, and they're actually *very* good batteries. With an adapter for my Makita router, the life seems to be at least about 90% of a 5ah Makita battery (sorry, I've not done any controlled/measured testing). Price on the Black and Decker is about the same as well..
I haul trailers pretty often. This would be geat for topping off trailer tires as cords are never long enough. Also geat for camping if it inflates air beds w/o killing car battery
Hahaha.. the lawyer should have been a goat... don't know why... just seems funny. Another great example of right tool for right job. Like you said Bear, it may take awhile but it does get the job done!
Does this have a plug in option behind the battery like ryobi does with most of their tools . At least with ryobi you can buy bigger amp hour batteries unlike bauer
I love your videos thank you for the review can you please do temp check after use for longer time like the 15min to see if it heats up to much and could you use it to dry a a car with the low pressure hose and last dose it come with a battery and charger
I don't like the new no spare trend. Just last night my Dad called me as he had a flat on Lexus RX with full size spare and he had side wall damage how to do blow up a tire with a split side wall??
How practical would this be for someone with a 4 wheeler who wants to lower the air pressure in the tires for flotation and then pump them back up for pavement driving?
I have everything that Bauer has released. It’s my DIY project home project. So every week I stop by HF and see if anything else has been released. They’re taking their sweet A$$ time releasing their line up.
Much like the Ryobi version, but no lighter power on that. Speaking of frosting, Ryobi has very cool garage speaker in their system. I hear their hot glue gun is good too.
HEY! Were you the damn bear that got into my backpack last summer while out back packing??? And you had the damn nerve to take all my beef jerky! BAD BEAR! 🐻
Ill pass on this one. I wonder how long it would take to fill a 35"M/T If it took 16 minutes to fill a 17" tire to 35psi? Is there anything about duty cycle? And not till the batteries run out. How warm did the pump get filling the tire? For example my superFlow MV89G can fill my truck tires in about 3 minutes. Has a duty cycle of 40 minutes on 40 minutes off. And gets warm NOT hot after 15 minutes of use. This is something that you definitely get what you pay for.
I'm starting to think you bear-ly made it home after the aliens abducted you. That was great. From my vantage point, you seemed to go catatonic for a few seconds, then come around at the sound of a double clap. (One mild seizure out of about three trips to LA LA Land.) Then shake it off and go back to talking tools. Just editing glitches, I know. But the idea of a bear that spaces out and has occasional seizures while discussing tools is great. I've seen the same phenomenon at 2:00 a m Friday night/morning when the framing crew was unwinding, but that was before YT.
Is this in 4k? Video quality is very nice. Also, I know the M12 Inflator has a duty cycle of 10 minutes. (10 minutes of operation, 10 minutes off to cool down). Does the Bauer have this limitation?
Curious Mr. Da Bear, what software is it that you use to generate your human avatar? On a different topic, I would agree that most people would get the inflator if they were invested in the battery line. For my final thought I would have to say that you forgot to edit out some of your miscues and forgotten lines. Oh and I hope Moto is alright, didn’t hear from him in this video.
Just curious if you seen the one that Dewalt makes. It's a good unit and I've had mine for a most a year. I keep it in my truck and use it at work and at home.
I'm looking to replace the dewalt unit i have. I've had this piece of shit for less than 8 months, and in that time, it no longer reads the pressure, the swivel valve stem connector no longer swivels, and it shuts down randomly, throwing error codes. Dewalts are truly no longer quality tools. I've got brushless circ and jig saws that both intermittently shut off while making easy cuts, so often that they are not trouble than they are worth. I'm DONE with dewalt. Herculese, bauer, and milwaukee from here on out.
I'm just now seeing this video, and I have a question for you, Mr. Da Bear (and/or anybody else who can give me some insights!). How does this unit compare to the 20V Bauer inflator that's roughly half the price -- the $24.99 56546? People who have reviewed that one have given it pretty rave reviews as well, so I'd like to get some direct comparisons from anybody who has actually used both. Thanks in advance!
The cheaper one is an analog high pressure inflator. This is a digital dual inflator. It will do both high pressure stuff like sports equipment and tires as well as low pressure high volume stuff like air beds and pool toys.
Hey Bear unfortunately I have the Ryobi 18v 1+ system and a lot of tools for it. It's ashame that the Baure line didn't come out about 17 or so years ago.
It taking 16 minutes to augment the air in a low tire is really pathetic when a hand pump would have completed the operation in half the time. Not in the least impressed.
@@denoftools I guess it would depend on how much air was needed, just how low was the tire needing air? Point being, that is a lot of time to inflate a tire with your gadget and its proprietary battery that is doomed to fail early, as these Chinese made lithium batteries have proven time and time again to be the case. To change the subject, why aren't you dressed as a panda bear, seeing as how you are indirectly just a shill for the Chinese manufacturers who thrive on unfair market practices? The Chinese manufacturers that keep Harbor Freight alive with their anti-competitive marketing scheme and cheap knock-offs and near counterfeits. You know, those practices that have essentially killed American labor and jobs, forced the closure of too many plants and factories, and driven a stake through the heart of American commerce? Often using what amounts to slave labor - prisoners - to manufacture their goods, little concern for toxic materials of construction, and no commitment to customer service after sales - these are the people and products you champion? Harbor Freight, China's Ikea.???
