Looking at improved medical support many are easily reaching 80+. Almost 20-25 years after retirement. So why retired people at the age 60,should not consider investment in small cap mutual funds?

Small cap funds can still be part of your portfolio. However it should not have significant allocation because it is very cyclical in performance (giving returns form few years and rest to time not performing).

Is a Midcap 50 index better for long term investing (15 years) than the usual Midcap 150 Index, since the 50 stocks may be a more focused approach than 150? There is a Axis Midcap 50 index but most other AMCs have a Midcap 150 index, hence wondering which to consider for a midcap investment

Investment in Mutual funds is better than the investment in share market with less risk. I invested lump sum 50 lakh in sbi technology and blue chip funds in 2019 now the said investment is going to be double whereas my 22 lakh is trapped in share market for the last two three years in which presently facing floating loss about 7 lakh.

Suppose we have few funds which we want to rebalance. But To rebalance , we have to redeem the units which will eventually need to be invested again. With redeem, the problem is we have to do fresh buying at higher NAV . What is best option? Hold the existing funds for long term or redeem the low return funds and reinvest again 🤔

Please reply to my query because I have already send three times same query. I gain LTCG for total 650000 for sale of residential plot in Apr 24. Please suggest to me. (a) Invest in 54EC bonds for 5 years lock in period and interest rate is 5.25%. (b) Or pay LTCG Tax for total 130000 (20%) and balance amount invest in lumsum of MUTUAL FUNDS. Which option is more beneficial for me if I want to invest for 10 to 12 years in Mutual funds. And suggest funds name for lumsum amount 2000000 for 12 years. My goal is daughter education and marriage. She is 8 years old now.

Broader funds like flexicap, largecap, multicap or hybrid funds mein apko apne goal tak ka wait krna chaie. Baki funds jse ki midcap, smallcap and secotr/thematic funds market conditions k hisaab se profit book karte rahe.

If you are investing 1L per month then it is called SIP, not lumpsum. 30 MF is too much. Should not have more than 5-6 funds My suggestion 1. Index fund 30000 2. Parag Parikh flexi cap 25000 3. SBI small cap 15000 4. Nifty 250 small cap index 15000 5. Thematic fund (HDFC manufacturing or energy fund) 15000

Kabhi aesi galti mat karna. Mutual fund m paisa nahi banta 10 sal investment kiya. Jab paisa nahi banega toh bolenge ki fund wrong hai. Nahi yakeen ho toh 10 years ki RD and 10 MF m laga lo. Mutual funds m paisa nahi banta. Be Safe....
