These are the invocations that I like to use. I’ve seen a lot of different approaches to invocations, but I wanted to make sets that were more agnostic of gear/skill/etc and more chill to use. Of course, we all have different preferences and I definitely think that (for example) I undervalue deadly prayers and the help-reducing invos (mostly because I’m a stingy iron and want to use less of my own supplies). You could swap in deadly prayers for 20 points in any setup without it. I also don’t have an exact idea of what might be best in teams. Still thought I’d put this out there for people who play similarly, or at least to work off of. You’re also free to use softcore run in any setup. A little more context on why I try to avoid help-reducing invos: taking any of them no longer guarantees that you get 2 salts in the power pack. I like to always go power->life for both speed (2down p2 warden with no lightbearer, constantly under full salt boost) and comfort (guaranteed 2 salts, 2 ambrosias for screwups, lots of raid supplies). Depending on how you go about the raid or your gear/invocation level, this might not apply. There’s simply too many factors to consider for general cases. Entry modes take me 45min. All my combats are 90+. I'm just inexperienced in pvm. I normally do like solo slayer and skilling so this video was helpful on what invocations I should use. I thought I'd be fine with path and ahkka invos. I was SO wrong. Got my shit clapped Edit: I did get spooned a fang on a lvl50 raid at 3KC. So that helps
just keep at it bro i was the same now near 40 kc and attempting 300's use inventory tags and colour your swap sets. like range to green mage blue ect. makes hybrid swapping so much easier. and i also colour my spec weapons something differnt so i know where they are to instantly press.
i normally do the insanity setup with a fairly normal getup, i have a tbow, fang, and trident and bring a 5way range and 5way mage switch. For extra weapons i bring rapier (for wardens p2, probably wouldn't need it if i had a lightbearer), dds, and bgs. I pretty much do it exactly as I would a 300, the only real difference is that instead of the 4 restores + 5 brews i normally bring in, i use a blood fury and then 5-6 restores + 4 brews. zebak -> kephri -> akkha/baba may upload a video for it if people are interested but like i said it's not too different from a 300 just longer and a bit harder
Might be stupid but can you explain the tables at the end of the invo builds? Is that minutes for completion and then total time in minutes for a purple?
Yes pretty much, left column is how long in minutes it would take you to complete a raid and right column is how long it would take you in minutes to see a purple
tbh the only way to know is to try. there are 100% people who could do it in that gear but I would not expect everyone to be able to. Try a 300 first if you haven't, then a 350, then up again that being said, i'm not sure it would reach a point where you could comfortably farm at that level
So i can do consistent 205's right now. If i theoretically put the timer invo on and missed the time, that would just jump me back to 205 without any other consequence?
Nah it does have an additional penalty, like if you put on the 40 minute timer it puts your raid level to 215 but if you miss time you lose twice its value (so you’d be bumped down to 195)
For my 400s I don't run Pathfinder... instead I run More Overlords, Need Some Help?, and Walk For It. I do have close to max gear but my completions are usually around 32 minutes. I've also ran this in groups with people who just had bofas or zcbs with no shadows, usually a bit slower but we'd had no problems making the time. We do turn off Aerial Assault and Jungle Japes in favor of Medic! (cringe I know) with > 4 people. Would recommend that set of invocations to anyone who can make the time.
I have been doing timed walk the path 400s. Based on one of your last videos, do you think I have less of a purple chance due no path finder/lower HP monsters?
I haven't seen updated data in weeks but the rate for 400s last time I checked was trending down (8.99% from 9.11%), possibly due to less people taking path invocations as we get more comfortable taking others. So to answer your question, maybe a little less likely but I'd still think 400s have a great rate. Also apparently jagex is releasing drop rates soon so we'll know
My first invocations from release were all of warden except insanity, I consider these the free-est levels because they honestly make no difference, I never turned them off since I started raiding. Also I can run 250s & 300s but i cannot make the 40min time in 300s prob because I have no tbow or bis gear just a fang and crossbow
I also started with all of them. The only reason I didn’t include penetration is bc I’ve seen lots of learners dying to getting hit by specials on p2, and at 150 you have so many options anyways but you can def just send them all
Little late to the discussion but if you're soloing and pushing yourself with more and more invos, or just tired and losing focus p1 warden is where the most damage seems to be dealt so simply just taking ancient haste off makes it just that much smoother
Thanks for the info on time to a purple based on invo levels. This game makin' me angy. I don't quite have the gear to go higher than 170/190, and am having trouble with adding Walk the Path, and I'm at 60 completions like this, averaging 2 to 2.5% chance of an item, with no items.
IMO alway have soft core and walk for it. You can always leave the raid. Next work on turning every boss mod on. I liked upset stomach on zen until around 400 when I was making mistakes due to how small the jugs are. The only ones you basically have to keep off are keps healing. I then learned insanity but typically keep it off. Once you learn all of the boss attacks start by turning on walk the path as it only sometimes levels bosses next is path seek/finder but not path master. Makes everything to slow. Next is deadly prayers. It’s free. Just prey the right thing and you lose no mana and quite prayers only sucks for monkey room. Singe most bosses can hit through prayer once they have more invos and level.
I wouldn't take the 360+ invocation data too serious. The sample size is a joke. Example of this is the data showing that 400 would be an absolutely massive bump up from 350, but 450 hardly increases the droprate as opposed to 400.
Well as I always say you should interpret the data how you will. But I would not consider the sample size a joke. We have 2786 completions at 400 and 251 purples so seems 9% is right. It’s not a huge size but not completely insignificant. As for why the increase to 450 doesn’t change a ton, it seems the curve for the raid level modified is like the tbow’s damage curve, although that is complete speculation and just one possible explanation
Like you said it's not a large sample size, but also not insignificant. I'd say the drop rate range of 400s (assuming average path levels) is 7.5-10.5, with the lower end being more likely. That might not seem significant to you, but 400s being 50% better than 350s is a big difference from 400s being 25% better. To add to this: As soon as the sample size starts to decrease massively (360+), drop rate numbers spike very significantly.
@@BackdoorQuadDraw those are just the numbers we happen to see on the graph. other low sample size data points have randomly extremely low drop rates, we can't just selectively decide to look at none of those. and i'd be very surprised if a nearly 3k sample size settled all the way down to 7.5. maybe 8.5 or something but don't you still think 400s would be worth doing at 8.5? in fact don't you think they would still be worth doing at 7.5 or 8?
@@JiyoolRS If you can consistently clear them they're absolutely worth doing. I just don't think the absolute numbers for anything 360+ should be taken too seriously as of right now. I don't mean to come off as too negative, the video itself is great :)
@@JiyoolRS Can i ask why it's not common to do kephri as the last or second last? I feel like this is the easiest boss, as the sped up default attack is negated by just moving in standard pattern. Rest of the fight does like no damage. But i might be missing something with the higher levels on this one. (I've only done level 2 i think)
Got 4 purples in about 62kc 200 invo. just started raiding at 300. Hope the luck stays the same! Just got yellow keris this morning so I'm excited to try that out
like i said in the video i've never personally done 500s or 540s. When i see other people do them they almost always go baba->kephri->akkha->zebak, and for gear they just take the max gear they have with yellow keris and a ton of restores/sanfews. Prepot angler, imbued heart, antivenom+, divine scb + ranging, stamina. you can bring other spec weapons (bgs, claws, zcb) if you're very confident in your abilities
Well walk the path would certainly be “easier” in the sense that you would have less of a chance of dying. I’d recommend trying insanity at some point though because if you ever want to push higher you’ll want to use insanity or at least be able to do it
i talk about it in my drop rates video but crowdsourced data shows that more damage dealt = more purple rate, WTP just happens to increase boss health (which is more damage)
yes they did, @ my last video on drop rates and also a wiki admin's data we believe jagex was referring to experts using path invos (more health = more damage = more drop chance), aka a 300 expert with no path invocations will not have a 2.5x better chance of a purple. there's pretty good data showing this but of course it is still speculation
Absolutely lost my shit when I got the fang on my 55invo raid just trying for a pb for fun. Anyone got any clue how I should try to farm jewels I can push to like low 200s but that's pushing it
If you were ***only*** interested in gems they’re about 1/45 from any level raid so you’d be best doing 0 level entry modes as fast as possible. But I think it’d be much better to just do the highest raids you can for the chance at other purples. Congrats though!
150 is a learning level, the standard definitely is 400 where not only is it a performance check but it is a gear check also. Don’t get standard mixed up with the average, while it is true the average player likely doesn’t do 400, it however still is the standard level of performance you should ideally be playing at in order to have a good balance of skill/gear in order to farm the money level as we know it as 400s
