Oh why did I wait so long to replace my ancient iPad? ru-vid.comUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U This is a perfect size with perfect features. Like all my Apple products I am able to intuitively navigate my way around. I like the fingerprint button, though I have to update it from time to time. I purchased a bluetooth keyboard so I can use this to write more easily. And the price was outstanding. I take my iPad with me everywhere. It's my buddy.
Great review. You explain what you do and don't like. Some of the things you like I would really dislike, but, because you explained your reasoning, I now know exactly which of these cases would not work for me. You helped me rule out some I would not like. Thanks!
Dark covers are anathema when travelling (for me)-I like my wallet, passport+device covers as bright as possible. They're easily seen in dark interiors: backpacks, handbags, car/bus/train/plane/floors and even in tangled bed sheets. Also nothing more likely to attract pickpockets than someone distracted when fumbling for wallet.
Your videos are great. I really enjoy watching your reviews. I purchased the DTTO folio case after seeing it in your video and I’m very happy with it. Keep up the great work !
I am using ESR Rebound Hybrid Detachable Cover Casing + Ringke Apple Pencil Stylus Pen Holder attached on the back, which is nicely become a thumb rest when you handle the ipad mini.
There are cases from china where you can take the foldable cover off (attaches magnetically) so you can have a front cover when you want one and a simple case that protects the sides and hold the pencil in when you don't.
I keep my mini in my pocket so all the covers that hold the pencil make the iPad too wide where it will no longer fit in my pocket. The Spigan has a big opening in the back letting debris into the cover. The last one might work.
I have a Mous case for my iPad Air 4 that I wish they'd scale down to the Mini 6. Great protection! You've given me some nice options for my Mini in the interim. Thanks!
I feel like there is one other really good option but they are generally more feminine in design and that is the I-blaison cosmo case. I used one for almost a year. I have several of these that you reviewed and they are all pretty decent cases as well.
If you want a really nice looking leather case for the mini, check out the ones that Davis Case makes. I had a leather case for my 10.5 ipad pro made by Pad & Quill but they unfortunately don't make one for the mini. Davis Cases look every bit as nice though.
What is a paper like screen protector? Where to get it? My 6 year son just dropped his iPad mini, shattered a corner and cracked the screen. What’s best to protect the corners?
You mentioned you’re a pilot - I couldn’t find a knee board review for the iPad Mini on your site. Any chance you’ve done one? If not, would you consider it?
Great video, thanks. I just purchased a ZUGU case and l though I love it, it adds a LOT of weight to my Mini. Looking for something more lightweight to use when I’m taking the Mini on the go. The Moko might work for lightness.
They all suck. They're ugly. None of them look like they're designed as part of the product. Once again Apple doesn't think it thru: how are you going to use the product? Carry it? Hold it? There is no question they dropped the ball be failing to provide the same magnetic smart folio and smart keyboard as every other iPad. Apple should design grips and cases as equally as important as the product itself. This one looks like it could benefit from a stick on grip like the phone thumb grips.. Then maybe tick in a sleeve for travelling around. Or just put it in a silcone case and screen protector like a phone
