TheGameconomist I would say make an mushroomancer set so you don’t have to worry about making catalyst for the demon drug and armorskin. Also might pill is an must for GS if you are waking the monster up with an TC
Would u mind making a video on how to maximize your harvesting? Which materials should u prioritize and how much...etc. any advice would be appreciated.
Kervile Herrera what??? Are you talking about how you can stack adamant seeds with hard shell powder with either armor skin or mega armor skin (since mega armor skin just over writes the armor skin). I really didn’t understand your statement unless you where talking about item prolonger
@@rockthehouse2211 I was hoping he would talk about it, since those items cost a lot. Sometimes I am running out of Kelby's horns or other precious ingredients for my fights.. I just transform some of them with alchemy. I don't know if this is the best way
I think that carrying monster shit with you everywhere is pretty important for regular hunts so you can shoo away devil pickle and the carpet bombing beetle.
I have played maybe less then 100 hours and recently got MHW. I have watched maybe 2 hours of tutorials but this one by far is amazing useful and helpful.
I'm new to MH, but I looked up a bunch of new player videos to pick up tips like this. I still don't understand how people don't know this. It's like they don't read what's on the menus and explore them.
Thalanox Not to play devil's advocate, but some of that stuff is hard to read! I myself am playing on a 40" plasma, and some of that text is very difficult to read.
OH SO THIS HOW YOU REALLY PLAY?! I AM ORGANIZING AND MAKING MY RADIAL IN GAME AS I WATCH THE VID. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN MISSING. I'VE PLAYED NEARLY 600 HOURS IN DISARRAY. THANK YOU!
A little tip for hunting tempered monsters: From my experience (depending on the monster) tempered monsters can only be flashed between 1-3 times before they become immune (example: tempered vaal hazak becomes immune after 1 flash while tempered teostra becomes immune after 3) so when hunting tempered you wont need to bring more than the 3 flashpods and save the flashbug space for something else you want to bring such as more consumables or the like. Hope this helps and happy hunting!
This is actually the most useful monster hunter video ever made. I'm so glad I found this video very early on, the amount of time this guide has saved me is actually insane.
Items that have more than one crafting "blueprint" still work for auto crafting, but only if they are the last in the crafting list. For this, you can actually change the order of the items in the crafting list so that your preferred version is last (example: Mega Barrellbomb's Devil's Blight version). This way, you can leave your Mega Barrellbomb in your radial menu (instead of its crafting item) and just spam it when needed.
TheGameconomist thank you, sir. Actually because of that property of the radial menu + autocrafting (and that I don't actually play too much hardcore), I end up preferring to take mostly craft materials (except for mega potions). I even generally take 10 immunizers and 10 kelbi horns (if I have enough) and no max potions, so I technically have 10 ancient potions at any time.
I just wanted to say thank you for this video. In my two years of playing, it's been the most useful video I've seen. I modified a couple of things like replacing Farcaster with Whetfish scale+, and using Dust of Life instead of Lifepowder, but other than that, this is exactly my setup now thanks to you.
for non-Elder-Dragon quests/investigation. take dung pods with you to dung monsters away where you dont want to fight with you and take traps with tranq bombs with you for capture. But i think most people already figured it out.
I remember when i didnt know Bazel can appear on every map. I was afk on Elder recess to reply messages. When suddenly the horror music started playing..
@@WhatEvaYsay So I made a new character because I was playing with a friend and because I wanted to, but I didn't know this about Bazel Wazel... Thank goodness I've warmed up to dung pods XD Cause I wouldn't want to deal with B-52 on every map!
I personally use the mod "Potion Seller" It just adds all the Utilities to the shop, no monster materials or nothing, and stuff you could harvest. Basically minimizes the downtime between hunts so you can play the actual game, also it still costs money and even at HR60 right now i still have to sell some stuff if I want to stock up on mega Armorskins/Demondrugs.
I used to watch your streams and videos 4 or 5 years ago while hunt some monsters, and then life happened. Nowadays I got back to MHW and your videos still helps me on that. Thank you for the content Gameconomist!
Make your radial menu first, Then make your template. Save it. Use template to make new load outs. Now your radial menu is saved for every load out you make.
100 hours in and I didn’t know you could refresh your items at camp midfight.... This is the best MHW tutorial on RU-vid, hands down. Thank you so much for the video.
When I first bought this game, few friends of mine had told me that this game doesnt really explain much of the mechanics to you and that there was a huge learning curve to it. Well 400+ hours later and I'm still learning things about this game whilst I do the grind for the last two trophies I have left. Great video and thanks for the tips on item load out and the item bar.
K-W2 yeah, some people spam the quests who boost your HR. I just don‘t get it why I should do that. Ever since I played MHF2 back in the days not in a single game someone gave a fuck about HR. It‘s not a display of skill, it‘s not impressive at all and and most importantly everyone knows that you did nothing but wasting your time by spamming a dumb quest for basicly ... nothing. It‘s not even a prestige thing because true MH veterans dont care about how many Tier 2 Monster you killed. Thats basicly all they did.
dude this vid is a life saver. i personally dont use radial menu for whatever reason and therefore using the scroll bar was frustrating cuz everything was a jumbled mess. now i can put my most used items next to each other for faster usage
Drop the might seed, (people watching this video aren't going to get much benefit from using it) drop the ingredients for life powder, get two traps, ALWAYS bring traps. Pick either mega barrel or the regular version, not both. If you can get a consistent supply of whetfish fins, bring them. If you're in MR, getting ancient potions is incredibly easy, always bring one. Antidote and nulberries, ALWAYS, you're going to really love it when you forget to bring one of these for the 20th time. Dung pods, personal choice, but you're going to have a shit time (ironic) during some hunts and nearly all MR hunts. I'd say it's unnecessary to bring crafting ingredients for max potions until MR. Mega potions will get you by just fine, especially if you don't build health boost. Bringing flash bugs is nearly completely irrelevant during most hunts, especially the higher ranks you go. Usually the 3 flashes you get will do just fine unless you whiff them.
Why antidote? Herbal medicine is better. I bring herbal medicines, can carry 5 which is usually enough. Also I usually bring herbal powder to heal others.
@@AdamJC88Zeitgeist Sorry, you can definitely use herbal medicine, however I use wide range and herbal medicine doesn't work with it. Completely valid to use just that if you don't use wide range. However, herbal medicine can be quite pricey for the lower ranks so people should keep that in mind that it isn't required.
@@mhead1117 It gives 10 attack for only 3 minutes. Might seeds are better farmed up so you can later turn them into Demondrugs. New/inexperienced players are not going to get much benefit from that because they won't be attacking the monster enough in that time to warrant using the seeds. They'll be more concerned with healing themselves and avoiding attacks. Also, inexperienced players will be spending high amounts of time (more than 15 minutes) killing monsters and going through 5+ might seeds every mission for an absolute minuscule (to them) gain is counter productive, especially in the long run. So, they'll either A. be wasting botanical research slots. Or B. spending an ass load of time farming Might seeds in expeditions for very little gain. Might seeds are only really useful when you know a monster's attack patterns and/or you just have a stupid amount of them. The people taking information from this video, are not experienced player. Because experienced players will know exactly what they need from mission to mission without this video's aid.
I agree with all these suggestions. I don't bring might seed or powder, I just get demondrug, armordrug and start whacking the monster. Its just extra work for not much benefit, the time and focus it takes to keep those buffs adds up alot over time. Also I always have traps and tranq bombs as I always capture if possible.
I realize this is an old video but I hope you see this because you have streamlined my hunts by 300%. I just got into MH last year and as I get into the Iceborne endgame I'm learning there is zero space in the pouch for things that aren't absolutely necessary and there is less and less time to be fumbling through the item bar - so thank you for showing how to organize that as well. Also I've been sleeping on buff consumables ENTIRELY so thank you thank you thank you thank you for all of this you rock dude
Some of your tutorials actually pull me thru the battles now vs me fighting to find my poorly arranged items, fighting Odagon now and these tips kick ass,you rock, slayer!!
There was only one small video I saw when I started MHW when the game came out where it shows you how to change item menu. Saves me SOOOOO much effort It bugs me so much when I watch a stream, and person's menu isn't organized
Just getting back into Monster Hunter World again, switched from Xbox to PC. I'm really glad you made this video. I don't have any experienced friends to ask about this stuff, and I feel bad if I'm not optimised when hunting with randoms.
This is an incredibly useful video. As someone who doesn't play with friends and has no experienced friends this helped me massively with small tips that no one really talks about so thank you very much!
Thank you so much for the Radial Menu stuff it completely changed the game for me, Nergigante was my first hard wall (as i am brand new to the MH with World) & after watching this it made my life so much easier. Plus i had an idea of the radial menu crafting but no idea how to do it. Thank you again very helpful video to us MH noobs out here.
I haven't played MHW since vanilla release on PC, and I'm just hopping back into it now (figured I can stretch all the new content over the 7 months until PC gets Iceborne). Anyways, I watched your videos ever since I started, even when I stopped because there was no more content, and I'm super stoked that even after all this time, you're still grinding away these crazy helpful videos.
Solid advice, personally i dont bother with half of those buffs unless its a fight im struggling with. I always keep honey at the farm and keep the rest swappojg out between devils blight, bowgun seeds etc as I need. I'm kind of hoping master rank brings back the no restock at camp from the older games. You should make a guide about how to get the most out of your farm, its essential to keeping stocked up without actually having to do gathering runs
Notes that might help: - You can edit you item quick select bar inside the load out menu. (PS4 press R3 then triangle) (Xbox press RS and the Y?) - Press bumpers to toggle item and bullet arranging options. - Radial shortcuts, items/bullets orders are save to each individual preload. This includes labels you made for your 4 radial menu subsection. Thank you for the awesome video. I have about 400 hours so far, and I think it took me 200 hours to find some of this. Didn't know about items crafting themselves if you where out of them but had the mats.
- While fishing for whetfish (or others). If you know what the fish looks like and it's on a body of water you can walk into. Like in AF zone one. You can use your Ghillie mantel and quickly capture the fish with your net tool. If done without the mantel the fish will run away and de-spawn.
- If you have the gear for mushroomancer. 1 - go into quest with active skill and just mushrooms to eat. Speed eating buff also helps. 2 - all 4 mushroom buffs 3 - Run into tent and switch to desire armor and preload. Buffs won't go away after changing gear. Also add farcaster if you are afraid the windrake will drop you in front of a monster that might agro you.
another tip for buffs: if you use the mosswine mask you get a very useful ability which lets you eat mushrooms like if they were suppor items. Nitro mushrooms act exactly like demon drug and shock ones act like the armor potion. I always wear them to hunts, eat the mushrooms, change the head armor and go straight to the fight, its been very useful to me
I'm here to say I've logged 550 hours into MHW and you just taught me that you can customize your item bar. Holy moly.... That is quite a literal game changer
Definitely going to rewatch this when I play again. I have some personal Radial menu choices, but stuff like preset hot bar and double stacking charms is something I didn’t know
holy cow, i never knew you could move your item bar like that, i assumed it was how the items were inside of your bags auto generated it. im a returning player and this will help soo much
Coming back to World + Iceborne, and this is a HUGE help. Thank you for explaining what the charms do I completely forgot about them and the item bar re-arrangeing. Big Bang Comboed that like button.
Knew most of the organization stuff, still a great video. However I have a problem, i save my loadouts, but the item bar and radial menus never seem to save with them. Drives me insane. I am on PC.
@@redphoenix1634 I do resave the changes is the problem. And it never seems to help. My item bar and radial menus are always a cluster fuck. not matter how many times I sort them and resave. :(
@@redphoenix1634 Item order *can't* be saved. Changes every time you pick up items. Same with ammo order. But the radial menu should save with each item loadout.
Returned to MW:W today and was looking for a refresher. This video is older but I still learned the most common loadout and customized my radial menu. I never knew :o
Bring only one demon drug? And no stamina cap recovery items? I don't know if this is just me, but I think I die way more often than you're expecting me to
If you die, the tent is right there for refilling. You can do ancient potion, dash juice or use the rations in the guild chest if you need to refill stamina.
@@stevenluoma1268 see, but it's much easier to simply have 3 demon drugs and some rations in my setup because then I don't need to go to the tent every single time I die... that would be really annoying and it's just easier to bring them
I like the boss Ross talk while you educate hunters. I didn't know a lot of these existed cause the game never tells you about it from the start. This would have saved a lot of people had they known stuff like this existed.
BRAVO! 400+ hour player here, and I still learned many valuable things from this video as of 6/3/2019. If more players watch and learn from this video the success rate in random games will skyrocket.
a good guide for a simple loadout both coop or solo. although, i did change some things to fit master mode. i also prefer capturing my monsters as much as possible, so i removed a few items that arent too important or not at all needed into another loadout. flash bugs, demon powder, might seeds, etc. the extra one or two item slots available are very flexible when prepping for a monster hunt (poison, bleed, etc).
That was in my modest opinion the best guide. I re start playing mh last year after 8 test of stop! It has changed a lot in a beautiful way since freedom unite
Rearranging the item bar... WHY THE HELL DID NO ONE TELL US WE COULD DO THIS BEFORE NOW?! Thank you kindly Gameconomist; you reminded me why I subscribed to you so long ago. ^__^
Wow I finished iceborne couple of weeks ago hundreds of hours in to the game and didn't even knew that you can re arrange the item bar.... Thanks for the useful video
I knew most of the stuff, apart from attack items stacking. But still, a must watch video. For someone just coming to the game or who has not played so much it is a massive help.
Bro! This guide helps me SO MUCH! I just started playing this game because if a friend. Some things are really confusing and stuff and this really helps me. Thank you!
I hope you know even after 2 years later. People including myself come back to your guides for help. Thankyou on behalf of all those whom find your vids helpful/entertaining. Cheers mate!
thanks for the guide man this is really important guide,I just play this game for like a weeks and the first thing I search is "what item should I bring mhw" but really I can't find it any good guide few weeks ago, until now
