I wouldn't normally do this, but I have to thank the fine folks at Resort TV1 and the amazing comments below. Your kind words quite literally brought me to tears. Only a handful of people know, and thankfully it seems you couldn't tell by my performance, but and extremely unsettling situation happened to me that day, and this was my VERY FIRST CRUISE back after dealing with something no one should ever have to deal with. My goal was to put every once of the energy of that pain into my performance and make a truly memorable experience for our guests. Tonight I see that I achieved that goal. Thank you so, so incredibly much. You have no idea how much that cruise meant to me that day, and how much your kind words mean now. If you ever find yourself passing by The Jungle Cruise...well...I don't blame you. Feel free to come back and save me.....SEE ME, come back and SEE ME. I'll be around....and around...and around... ArdatheyBey you are a very giving person , by giving so much of yourself to people in return you have received much more for you , if only everyone thought this way , you have made a difference not only that day but for many future viewers of this video, I didn’t see one person looking at their phone during this cruise! Skipper Ryan was BY FAR the best skipper I've seen. Too bad I couldn't hear 100% of what he said. But even catching 80% of his routine was just great. Thanks for sharing this.

i was a Jungle Skipper back in the 80's that attraction was always fun because the cast member made it extra special with their own brand of Wit and timing.. I am VERY THANKFUL that Disney gave me the opportunity to learn the "Disney way" while having an awesome time!! My time at Disneyland will forever be one of my Favorite achievements !!! Thanks Walt !!!!! and C Gohata :-)

As a former WDW Jungle Cruise Skipper (1986-87), I approve this skipper. : -) Super funny Brian - well done. I also can't help but notice the one guest on the boat (bottom right of your screen) who is quite literally on her phone the entire time. As the young people say 'WTF?'

This is a WONDERFUL skipper!!! He put his whole heart into this cruise. I hope that we can be lucky enough to get on his cruise some time. Back when I first went to Disney many years ago, many of the skippers were more like Brian!!! He is just so witty and quick with his remarks!!! Glad that you recorded this Josh. Now I can pull it up and watch it again and again!!!!

He really is great. We've had him before. I wonder if he really speaks like that, or if he is affecting an accent. Definitely one of my favorites. Our other favorite is a guy who does it REALLY deadpan, like he is narrating a nature documentary.
