I was station at Grissom, Kadena and McConnell, refued the SR 71 at Kadena in 1975.

The first Tanker shown was 58-0109, she was the last Tanker I was the crew chief on during my career and that was at Dyess.

I was stationed at Castle, before I went to U-Tapao, my bird was 56-136 , Horney Toad i named her she had 6 extra antenae and 5000 extra lbs of wiring. It was used early on for a-bomb filming,great plane well built.

Thank you for the joyful video. Why is in the beginning the airplane from 185th, but in the end the boom from 92nd?

Thanks! This was filmed over multiple flights, so we were on a lot of different airplanes

Must be nice to be stationed somewhere that you can throw the ball around without having to worry about mortars when you're not flying in circles. Should've joined the Air Force, huh. J/k lmfao
