You're so welcome! If you could somehow snap your fingers and be in Key West you'd be so shocked at how hot it is! What part of the world are you in? 🥶
@@PSAdventures I’m near London, England , today however is unseasonably warm 24C/75F but it will drop very soon ! but I love your tropical scenery , would love to visit
Oh wow! You might laugh at this but I just looked at the temperature where we live in Central Florida and it's 71F/21.6C. So that means right now it's actually warmer where you are! 😂 We would love to visit London sometime in the future. We've heard you guys have amazing Indian restaurants!
Good video. Thanks for sharing. When it comes time for me to take my next trip in October, and there is still too many restrictions to travel to a Caribbean island. I'm going here instead.
When you come to Key West you'll have a handful of beaches to look forward to. Fort Zachary Taylor is a very nice beach to just relax all day. Definitely bring a hammock if you can!
@@PSAdventures I suffered a massive stroke 5 years ago , at age 56 . So that was a challenge to me . I have sold my motorhome since then . But I do want to go back . I always miss it there, the second I leave.
That's awesome! That will be a great trip! It's likely to be very sunny and of course the occasional Florida thunderstorm, but it's also going to be quite warm. Definitely bring some water everywhere you go! It's also nice to cool off in the stores as you're walking around. Are you planning to do any excursions?! Our favorite laid back excursion is this sunset cruise with live music: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TtSPzOqaygo.html. Enjoy your trip!
So happy you enjoyed the video! That's a tough one since Key West has gotten SOOO popular in the past few months. If we were to make another trip, we'd probably look at Airbnbs and probably share a place with another couple to make it cheaper. The prices have really exploded since opening back up. We always try searching on Airbnb, Hotels.com, and VRBO. At worst you could stay one island up or even reserve a camping spot in advance. I hope you find a good deal. Good luck!
Oh wow! That must have been some adventure visiting all 50 states. What a great place to finish! Did you have a favorite couple states on your journey?
@@PSAdventures we are actually only 8 states in! We are trying to stay south until it warms up a bit. So far I think our favorites are Texas and Florida.
the Florida Keys dont have many good beaches and they smell too but sombrero beach is sooo beautiful in Marathon. now in Key West Fort Zachary the best one and Smarhers beach is gorgeous too. oh also Bahia Honda breathtaking beach and park unfortunately is dirty with the sargaasm,,and seaweed. oh my it smells and is a pity cause the Keys is beautiful. now if u go to Miami Beach, hollywood, juno, jensen beach, ,Panama city and more those are excellent gorgeous beaches with turquoise n blue water and white sand. the Florida Keys just have beautiful view ans I still love the keys
How exciting! You'll love it! The only beach in this video that has a small entrance fee is our number one pick at Fort Zachary Taylor. The fee also includes visitation of the fort. Enjoy your trip!
Key West is one of my favorite destinations. It truly has something for everything. Thanks for showing off how beautiful their beaches are. They're not known for them but they really are amazing. Especially at sunset. See you in our travels!
Thank you for watching! It's always hard to leave Key West, we just love it so much. When we go to an island, we always have to find the best beach. Happy traveling!
Yeah that's the hard part about vacationing in Key West. When we went in the fall there wasn't any seaweed but it's not fun when the beach gets covered in it. Thanks for watching!
Going to Florida for the first time ever next month and we have picked the keys for our two week vacation this year..We plan on a one day stop somewhere random on the way down two nights in Key Largo, Two nights in Marathon, a week in Key West and few nights at a few random places on the return trip ...We also plan on taking our pontoon boat down with us is that would be a good idea? Any suggestions on destinations not mentioned?
First time ever in Florida? That is awesome! We're excited for you! You have picked some great spots. On the way down, we'd recommend maybe St Augustine, Sarasota, or Delray Beach depending on which way you're driving. These have great beaches near cute downtowns. A boat in the Florida Keys is a great idea! The only thing maybe you could research is how the wind is supposed to be, because the ocean can be pretty wavy around those islands. Have a great time!
Aww! Thank you so much for the offer! We would have loved to but won't be in the area. Perhaps another time it could work out! How are you enjoying your trip? 😃
@@PSAdventures I've decided to wait until it gets cold up here in Tennessee before I come down on vacation..We actually flew down here to San Juan, Puerto Rico got insane price on a round trip flight we couldn't pass up.
Thank you Lee! Just about any time of year is a good time to visit Key West. This was filmed in mid October. The most popular season is December through March because it gets crazy hot in the summer!
@@PSAdventures you're welcome. You did a nice job showing a place close to my heart ❤ I just returned from filming in the key myself. I look forward to watching more of your videos
Wonderful! We're so happy for you! We just love Key West so much - truly one of our favorite destinations for the great vibes. Yes, I believe all beaches chairs in Key West are for a fee. We usually skip that option and bring our own towel to sit on, small backpacking chair, or even a hammock works at some of the beaches. If you're frugal like us, you might choose to buy a beach chair while you're there. If you're staying near Duval Street, I would think the Walgreens near sunset pier would have beach chairs. Enjoy!!
did you get sny flats or saw any people getting flats with there bikes....lloll.... thinking of going down there just wond ering how the streets are for bikeing.
Actually we were pleasantly surprised about the streets. The city does a great job of cleaning the streets every night, so we never had a problem with debris in the road. :D
Thanks so much for the suggestion! We'll have to check that one out! We were ranking the best beaches in Key West, but Sombrero Beach in Marathon looks nice also!
Awesome! Both amazing choices. They're only a bike ride apart, which by the way we really recommend renting bikes in Key West so you can explore more of the island. Enjoy!
We'll have to get to the Phillipines one day and see their beaches. Heard lots of great things about them! Anywhere in particular that's a favorite to look into?
Wonderful! I'm so happy for you! You should definitely try the smoothies and cuban coffee at Ana's Cuban Cafe - the main location near the famous Key West buoy. Also, bikes are the best way to get around so we always like to rent them while we're there.
Key West doesn't have the best beaches in the world but depending on what you're looking for yo might like different beaches for different reasons. We love Fort Zachary Taylor though. Thanks for watching!
Bottom line is Key West is not Florida's best beach destination whatsoever. The beaches are rocky, poor sand quality, too close to residential areas, and marginal at best. Go for the weather, dining, history, & water based activities. Also when there's algae blooms in the summer some beaches can be smelly & nasty. I've been to Key West twice & don't crave the beaches there much but returning in November 2020 for my third visit 🌴
Florida definitely has a lot more gorgeous beaches available, but if you happen to be in Key West only these are some of the best there! Now the sunsets! Those are a different story. Enjoy your trip!
I was very disappointed with Key West beaches. Way too much coral to enjoy walking in the water and too small. We have better beaches at the lake in Iowa. Great video though
Thanks so much for the comment David! I know! We were pretty surprised when we visited our first time that the beaches didn't live up the to idea we thought they might be. There are a couple good ones though that we've had an amazing time at. Key West is still an amazing place to visit though!
That’s creepy those lizards yuck !!! A rooster haha 😆 yes thank you I wanted to see the southern Most Point ! I have to go to key west 1 time just bc my dad was born there and we’re on the west coast but I really don’t think I’ll like it too liberal ! Such pretty beaches I think smathers beach looks awesome I think Tampa is so beautiful too but I heard it is so crime ridden really sad 😔wow I thought all the beaches there would have white sand ! How’s the water is it warm ? Pacific coast is so ugly compared to Atlantic but west coast still better than east coast 😊
Oh you really must see it for yourself one day! Key West is a beautiful place, although the beaches are a bit hidden so you have to know where to go. The water is warm year round so it's a popular place any time of year. It also feels very safe and laid back. I hope you get to see it!
It's definitely surprising the first time you visit Key West and realize that beaches aren't everywhere like you'd expect. But the ones they have are nice too, and especially with the surrounding Key West atmosphere. But yes, Florida has beautiful and very different beaches statewide! :)
@@PSAdventures i love key west and the first time i went there some of the bridges were wooden and i also said were is the beach now i have been there way over 100 times ans still love it very much
@Patriotic Dandelions Yikes . It's been a while since we've visited the beach at St. Augustine. I guess that's not the primary reason to visit. Instead we like to tour the old city and see the river at sunset. 😀
The music audio in this video is soooo much louder than your voices, I can't watch this without continually flipping the volume up and down... it's really obnoxious. You'd think that if you spent this time editing the video, that would be the first thing you would pick up on
No problem Joleen! Obviously this was geared specifically for anyone wanting to know the BEST BEACHES in Key West. You can also check out our other Key West videos on parasailing, snorkeling, Fantasy Fest, and vegan food. Key West is an amazing place.
Do you want every Key West video to be the same...? There’s a Million videos like that on RU-vid. You should appreciate these 2 for showing the scenery & actually visiting the beaches instead of just talking about them. People with open minds can gain knowledge from anything, they don’t need the same thing repeated 100x.
@@PSAdventures Y’all did a great job! It’s nice just to enjoy travel videos without all the talking & typing on the screen sometimes. It allows the viewer to be more in touch with the environment. The beauty of travel used to be the unknown. I’ve found newly built hotels & great restaurants just by playing around with Google Maps. Thanks for the info about the walking distances to the beaches!
@@lastshallbefirst5516 Thank you so much! We've had a lot of fun when we're not totally sure what to expect from a place but go explore it anyways. You're so right about the unknown. We've found the best places just walking around and trying a place out. So glad you enjoyed and you're so welcome! 😊🌴🏖️
Yeah it does! Oh man we learned that the hard way trying to walk out from the shore. After that we kept on our fins or water shoes to make it a little easier to walk out. Thanks for the comment Ray!
It's funny that you mention that David! In this episode we explored all the best beaches, but we didn't focus as much on the water. We actually have an upcoming episode you'll enjoy of our favorite beach including the water! You must be reading our mind. 😂
Hi! We were actually there for a full week and enjoyed all kinds of activities while we were there, including their crazy Fantasy Fest event! We are in central Florida so it's not too far from Key West. 😃
@@PSAdventures when I lived in Florida for 10 years I lived in Ponte Vedra Beach Florida for 1 year and 9 Years in Margate Fl. The best place I ever lived
We love Florida! Great cities and so much to do! But, we have to go some mountains at least once a year. They call to us! Especially hiking among the mountains.
I love your channel I had a question This will be my first time visiting a Florida beach I heard great things about Destin,Clearwater, key west, siesta keys and pcb if you had to rank them from beat to worst which one would you choose I’m looking to have a good time relax eat shop and enjoy the beach
Those are all amazing places to visit on their own but since you said you like the beach, restaurants, and shopping some are better than others. Siesta Key has a beautiful beach with a lot of restaurants, Panama City is the same with all of that, Key West doesn't have a ton of beaches but a lot of good restaurants. Destin is great for the white sand beaches and one we'd add to that is Delray Beach for all of what you want. Have fun on your trip!
