Avoid dusty messy kitty litter that you have to buy every couple of weeks. Avoid constant urine smell and the constant need to clean your kitty's pee. No more worry with clumpy lumpy messes. Seriously the best litter ever!
Instead of the brand name litter, you can also buy equine pine bedding, which is about $5 for a 40lb bag at Tractor supply or rural king. Lasts literally forever and is exactly the same thing.
Katelyn Cabe No it is not the same thing the pine breaks down very quickly and then also goes on the pee pee pad... And you have tons of pine dust it works awesome but you need a much bigger thing on the bottom a large tray.. What you do is get rid of the breeze tray. Then you get extra large puppy pads Uline the big tray with the puppy pads you put the breeze box without the tray on top then you buy the 40 lb bag of pine get rid of the waste on top daily all the dust in Pee goes in the bottom puppy pad and then you can get almost two weeks you fold the puppy pad over all of the sawdust throw it away I figured out the cost for everything.. average cost for two cats would be roughly 2 to $4 a month yep IT'S AMAZING
muzikmon2267 I can confirm. I’ve been using the modified breeze system with puppy pads and pine pellets for ten months and I’ve literally only purchased three bags. I’ve still got a few months of pellets till I purchase more. It’s the easiest to maintain. Your cat needs to get used to the difference. But eventually they’ll come around. I used to spend $40 a month in litter. I’ve spent 15 so far this year. Added bonus you don’t have to carry heavy used litter to the garbage every week. I love it!
You don't have to use their pads(puppy pads are cheeper $16.00 for 100...and twice the size of the cat pads.) And you can use something else besides their litter.
Cats need more litter than that tiny bit she's got in that box. Plus litters that have a Fabreeze scent to it is more for you than the cat. Any heavy scents are not good for a cats respiratory, let alone they really need to smell their scent. Check out Jackson Galaxy's site. He knows everything there is to know about cats and what they truly like. 😺🐾🐾
Febreeze and any such product is highly toxic to human and all life. Cats can not deal with any "fragrance" product natural oils and esp synthetic. See Toxins in fragrances (poisons). Quick Search - this means that cats will have a "build up" of these chemicals, there are natural toxins in all plants including those that are used for oils - some we humans evolved to deal with others not so. Ditto for cats.) roberttisserand.com/2011/06/cats-essential-oil-safety/ Cats almost completely lack important liver enzymes that humans do possess, and which are important in the metabolism of many essential oil constituents. These are primarily UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) enzymes such as UGT1A6, UGT1A9 and UGT2B7 (Court 2013, Van Beusekom 2013).
I've tried these pellets and disagree.. After a week onlynof use, the pellets started smelling of urine... It wasn't strong, but it was already there after a single week. I tossed that shit out and started using the pine sawdust pellets. No smell, and they do a better job at dehydrating the stool (so it's less messy to clean up). It's also way cheaper! :)
You need a litter box with a screen on the bottom, so the wet litter falls through. Ive been using this for years and have no smell at all, if I change the pad underneath. I use a puppy pad and change it weekly.
Victorian Gardens Cattery has 2 videos using this box. She has questions on the box the other is like the cheapest litter I think. She gets the same pine pellets for $5.99 for 40 lbs bag.
I wandered about that. We use windex or vinegar on ours and then rinse it out real good with the hose outside and then it sits for 30 to 60 days until we swap them out.
SAMMIsLIFE when the pellet turn into sawdust, how long does it take to fill up the tray?!?! How many cat do you have? I want to change to pine pellets to cut some cost. I gave up on the pee pad because there none out there that can hold the pee smell as good as the brand name one. I have 3 cats share 2 litter systems
I pet sitter for a friend's cat..I changed and washed out the litter box everday. Having a litter box in my house freaked me out to begin with. She said when she got back after 3 weeks her cat won't use the box unless she cleans it out every 2 days. I did use vinegar and water to clean it.
AGREED--- I havne't used it yet- but RESEARCHING a lot and think it WOULD be infitinitely better!!!! I"m getting one next week aftre my check arrives. I have 3 cats and the clay dust is killing us all!!! (not to mention the mess, the constant dust clouds and COST!!)
I buy the larger bag that is 7 pounds or so and use about 3/4 of if so my cat has enough to cover his business. Also, I don't need to change it every month. I can usually get away with about 8 weeks on one change, sometimes more or less. He lets me know when I need to change it.
After 18 years of being a cat owner, I finally found what I was looking for. I simply LOVE this cat litter system. To tell that there is no odor control, is because you are taking waaaay to long to change the urine pad or you do not clean the poop frequently In my case, I just scoop the poop every day when I get home from work and I guarantee it, if you do that, there is NO ODOR at all The pallets are always dry and absorb the odor pretty quickly but of course if you don't clean it, smell is the consequence Other thing is the price of the pads. Pretty expensive. What I do is, I by regular training pads by very reasonable price and change the liner everyday single day. Not even close and not to be compared to the disgusting regular litter box, where poop and pee live not harmoniously together. Leave alone the fact that your cat has that under their paws and jump right back to you bad or couch after a visit to the natural-needs-room I highly recommend this system. Love it.
How did you get your Cat's to transition to the Pellets? My three will not even get into the box. It is as though they are offended by the smell of the pellets. I bought the pellets at Tractor Supply.
@@brentaudi9354 I put the pellets in their old litterbox so they get used before I change to a sifter litterbox because I think it would be to much of a change all at once. My 2 cats have never been picky about litter so I was lucky in that regard that they took to it right away. Depending on cats you might have to do a gradual change. I will say the Breeze litterbox is rather small. I bought 2 of them and end of up returning them. My 2 cats are siamese mixes and are 12 &13 pounds just for reference. You will better off making your own sifter litterbox which I'm going to do. RU-vid has few videos on DIY sifter litterbox
I have been using the Breeze system for almost 3 years. I love it and my cats took straight to it. I order my padfill the s and pellets online from Amazon. I tried an off brand of the pads and they were terrible. Back to the pads with Spring Breeze scents. My cats and I are very happy. Even when I forget to change the pad for 5 or 6 days, no smell and the pad didn't leak tons into the pan & stick after a day and a half like the cheap ones did.
Thanks for your video. I'd like to ask you a few questions. 1. How many cats do you have? It looks like maybe just the one, but I wanted to confirm. 2. Do you have any issues with your cat peeing over the back on the wall? This is an issue with one of our cats. 3. How much does one bag of litter cost? 4. How much are the pads and how many do you get per package? 5. Do you have any issues with the pellets getting distributed around the house? We have three cats but only one litter box. We clean it at least every other day if not every day. I'd like to get another box and keep one in the basement and one on the main floor. We currently have two boxes, and once a month or sometimes we skip a month, we dump all the litter and bring in the other "cleaned" box and while they use that one, the one we just emptied gets a good cleaning. They are the same with a very high back and my Lucas still finds a way to pee over it. :( So, I'm doing a great deal of research right now and I'd like to setup at least two maybe three boxes. Thank you for your time.
No quemicals on any kind must touch the littler box. Also the pad add to pollution, just as someone said, use pine pellets! It absorbs and there no smell at all!
Tried these, but any loose stool caught in the grid is tough to get out. Four cats went through two pads in each box per week, $7 per pack at Walmart every week. Back to the regular pine in a plastic tub.
I use this same litter box but I use horse bed cedar pellets from Tractor Supply in the litter box. You can dip the poop out and flush it in the toilet stool. When they pee on the pellets it will finally go down the grates and turn.into mush that smells like cedar. The cedar pellets, from tractor supply on cost from $4.99 to $5.99 for 40 lbs.
Be careful that your cat isn't just using the pine cause it's the only thing available. I have a cat that gave herself a UTI from only using the box once a day because of the pine smell. Pine is actually poisonous to cats. The pine pellets are no longer poisonous due to the manufacturing method used gets rid of all the oils and whatnot that are poisonous. But the pine smell is still there, and can be off putting to cats who think that since they can smell the pine, they are in a poisonous environment. The main problem about pine pellets is pellets are made from "mcc" material-a what's left when making pressed wood for cabinets etc....tons of chemicals including formaldehyde. do NOT use that stuff! Very poisonous. Especially for a small animal!
That's 2 months for ONE CAT , though- right? I have 3.. so it would take a bit more. I'm also going to get Equine Pelletized Bedding in PINE- because it's kiln dried (none of the stuff that's bad for them) and it's $6 for a 40 pound bag,.... and COMPOSTABLE!!
I don't understand why yall can't smell the poop on the pine pallets be I've tried it for 1 day waste of my money my house smell like poop and urine after 1 day of use. This method is not for me so I switched back to the regular sifting cat llitter and I work so much better with no smell in the house
Are you still using this Breeze litter box system? I just got it and wondered how it was still working out for you? Do you still use the Breeze pellets?
That can not be healthy for the cat to pee all over those pellets for so long, just because you can not smell it doesn't mean it's good for the poor cat.
Should have shown how to clean it without iron and pellets not spilling everywhere when changing pads and pellets and how not to have cat Use box when pad and pellets not in it because you are changing them and cleaning them! I’ve had no success with that!
Actually I found that when they poop the pine pellets tend to pull all the moisture out of the poop and it leaves them like little mummified pieces laying in there and they don't smell it's absolutely amazing that there's no smell from using the equine pellets
JRLM it smells much better, is better for your cat and the environment, and it actually is because you just need to take the poop out and then you don’t have to change it for a few days to weeks. It’s also much cheaper if you buy equine pellets.
Caitlin and Dakota but is it easier to use than normal dust free clumping litter? I dont think so. You never have to change clumping litter as long as you have litter available to refill the box after you scoop poop and pee. My cats litter box has no odor ... because we scoop as soon as we see clumps or poop.
This is the third Breeze review-video I’ve seen, and so far all of them have discussed pee-pee-PEE. I feel certain these reviewers’ cats also poop - yet the topic has been conspicuously avoided. Of course Breeze isn’t exclusive to PetSmart. I recall learning about this goofy litterbox system back in 2000 - yet it appears gardengrove0 had recently discovered it in 2015?
Lysol is toxic to cats, as are many household cleaners, essential oils, etc. I can’t believe how uninformed this woman is. Hopefully, most people know better.
