Latest Update , I just got back from Korea two days ago BOJ sunscreen is widely available now in most of olive young . I went to 5 olive young , BOJ is available in 4 of them , namely Hongdae , unseo & etc
I have been using the Scinnic sunscreen the last month or so, and it really is a good one! I have normal skin, but I prefer lighter sunscreens that sink in completely to go under makeup. I just ordered the Centella sunscreen, I’m really excited to try it😁
Hiya! If you liked the Scinic sunscreen, you will like Skin1004 centella sunscreen as it’s really lightweight with dewy finish. Would love to know how you go so let me know! 💚
I've extremely oily acne-prone and prone to clogging skin. I like sunscreens that are very matte, because at the end of the day any satin or natural finish sunscreen will get super oily in 2-3h. So far I've loved the skin 1004 tone up sunscreen (with the white cap) and the one with the yellow cap - both of them are a mix between chemical and physical filters. Although the white cap is super matte and I'd say drying for the winter and it leaves a white cast, so far it's the best matte sunscreen I've used. It's perfect for under makeup as the foundation covers the white cast and it doubles up as a primer :D For some days when my neck is covered I only use it without makeup and it evens out my skin tone so well and it lasts me quite some time. Another sunscreen I'd love to try and to see more reviews on is the Be The Skin Sebum Zero Aloe rice Sunscreen. I've heard it's great for oily/combo skins it'd be great if you review it!! Great video also!!
Hiya, thank you so much for sharing your SKIN1004 sunscreen experience with so much detail! This is a tremendously helpful comment! Although I do a lot of research and have a team member with a different skin type to me (dry skin) helping me out, I am always keen to find out more fav products for oily and combo skin types so this is great! I will look into the product you've mentioned. You might be interested in checking out our article on the top 5 Korean sunscreens for oily and acne-prone skin types picked by the Koreans here 👉www.oneeyebeauty.com/post/koreansunscreensforoilyskin Hope this helps you as well :)
I have dry/normal skin and bought the iUNIK since I love so many of their other products! Compared to the BoJ which I had just finished I found it quite greasy, especially towards the end of the day and it broke down my makeup :( I'm not sure if it's because I live in a very hot and humid climate, but I have since repurchased the BoJ and am currently using the SKIN1004 which is super lovely! Looking forward to trying a few more from this list!
Hiya, thanks for sharing your experience with Iunik. This is very interesting as I personally didn’t find Iunik one greasy at all, but I sometimes find SKIN1004 a bit greasy..! How funny is that 😁 I still love both sunscreens and yes you’ve got to try other ones too especially the Numbuzin sun essence. It’s bril 🙂
Definitely look into the missha aqua sun! (But text on white bottle) I love it it’s not greasy and I have a similar skin type dry normal and occasionally break out and this works for me! It also doesn’t burn me! I can’t compare to either of those two but it was less shiny on me than the round lab sunscreen and I’ve gone through 3 bottles!
You basically gave the same sunscrens for both categories. I appreciate you trying to spread knowledge but you yourself admitted you have dry skin so how have you tested for oily skin? I have oily skin and none of these are optimal for my skin type ( I have tried most)). I always end up with some shine.. I'm sorry this list is not good for true oily skinned folk. I am just saying this as I don't want people to waste their money. it's not just me, people on reddit have said same thing. We look for true matte finishes, as any of these natural/satin/dewy types make us look very shiny in couple of hours. I will say from korean sunscreens the fluid one's work the best like House of Hur fluid, Abib heartleaf sun essence, anua heartleaf silky moisture sun cream
@@fly89 he recommended beauty of Joseon sunscreen.. Any other oily person would not recommend this. Obviously I can't speak for what his skin type is or how it works for him, but he seems to lean towards more dewy look and I'm not sure how oily his skin actually is.. Unless he always powders his face after using these sun screens
If you're looking for a matt sunscreen, I'd recommend you a Haruharu chemical sunscreen I've shown in this video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_n1Asj8EQlo.html
Found this video after I just randomly bought the iUNIK sunscreen at a well stocked k-beauty story in nyc 2 days ago. I bought it because it was the cheapest in-store ($15) and had already placed an order of the skin1004 water-fit, BoJ Sun serum, SCINIC and Haruharu mineral sunscreen on Stylevana. I was feeling super impatient waiting 3-4 weeks for my order so I purchased iUNIK on a whim. Man it is SO SO GOOD. Just the perfect finish for summer time, no trouble rubbing in and looks fab under makeup. I think it works better with an essence / serum underneath since the AC in my office building is very strong and drying. It’s at the top for me rn - my current American beauty favorite is the cocokind mineral sunscreen - which is interestingly an Asian brand!
Thanks very much for sharing your experience. I love the Iunik sunscreen as well! Glad to hear that it worked well for you! I've recently done a video on Korean mineral sunscreens here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wdPG3MlFmqA.html More sunscreens videos will be coming this summer so stay tuned! See you again 💚
I have sensitive/dry skin rn bc of tretinoin and have already tried the roundlab, boj, skin1004 and the iunik sunscreens and so far I like the boj when my skin is soooo dry, i prefer the roundlab and skin1004 when i want something more lightweight tho. Another important thing is that thanks to the applicator, the skin1004 last soooo much longer than the other ones. Lastly, i dont't like the iunik one bc it stings my eyes
Hiya, sorry to hear that the Iunik stung your eyes. I researched and read a lot of feedback before doing the video script, but haven't seen this mentioned. I agree that Skin1004 & RL are a great lightweight option and I'm curious about the applicator you've mentioned! How is that? The UV mirror was a game changer for me, and now you're making me think about the applicator 😆
I had a similar experience with the iUnik sunscreen. It didn't sting my eyes per se but some sunscreens make my eyelids and in turn my eyes feel incredibly heavy and dried out throughout the day, and the iUnik sunscreen had that effect unfortunately. So I have to use a differnet sunscreen around the eyes to prevent that.
I looooove the one from Skin1004! I use it on its own in summer, and layer it on top of my moisturizer during autumn/winter. Based on your analysis, the other ones are great because they are basically a mix between a moisturizer and a sunscreen! But I think thats why my skin love the skin1004 so much, its bsicllt very simple, and for my sensitive skin thats what works. I loved the BOJ but it did sting my face, very probably the ginseng in it unfortunately.
Hi darling, Skin1004 is a great option for any skin type, only except for the extremely dry skin type in my opinion. If you like Skin1004, I have a feeling that you will also like Round Lab or Numbuzin :)
I wasn't a huge fan of haruharu in the past. There's nothing wrong with this brand, their products just didn't do anything special for my skin. But then they came out with their black rice moisture airyfit daily sunscreen. This is one of the best sunscreens I've ever tried (and I almost tried them all). It has a thick texture but absorbs super super fast. It's moisturizing and soothing (ceramide + heartleaf) but not greasy and also not drying. I have no idea how they're doing all that at the same time but it works. I wore it non stop during summer 2023 and it was also nice to wear during the winter months. It doesn't pill, doesn't slide off, no eye stinging, no whitecast, doesn't break me out, doesn't make me sweat, no scent, convenient and precise pump package. I hate runny sunscreens that spill everywhere and make a mess. This is the complete opposite of that. I don't understand how this is not everyone's favourite sunscreen lol. I think it would work for all skin types.
Hi thanks so much for sharing your detailed experience. I found this very interesting to read. I’m interested to know if you are referring to the mineral or the chemical one?
@@oneeyebeauty I'm referring to the chemical one in the yellow tube 😊 the mineral one in the purple tube is called "pure mineral relief" but I haven't tried it yet.
@@KatK61227 Ahh I see. Thanks very much for letting me know. I'll be doing a mineral sunscreens review soon and Haruharu one will be included. Stay tuned to find out if the mineral one is just as good 🙂
Thanks for reviewing these! I've been using BOJ for a little while now and I really like it for my normal to drier skin type. I tried Scinic a number of times, wishing it would work for me, but the most recent try it irritated my cheeks, and I don't even have sensitive skin -- though I have been using tretinoin the past 3 months, so maybe my skin is just more sensitive. I loved seeing that you put Numbuzin at #1 for dry skin because I ordered it a few days ago and can't wait to try it! I'm hopeful it will work for me because it seems to have extra soothing ingredients.
Of all those, I used Beuty of Joseon and Round lab, and I prefer the Raund lab on my combination skin, though not using moisturizer is a must in my case.
Love your recommendations! May I ask can you make recommendations for alcohol-free sunscreen? Because I noticed that BOJ, iUNIK and SKIN1004 all have t-butyl alcohol in the ingredient. So would you recommend sunscreens that have verified protection with no alcohol? Thanks!
Thank you for the explanation 😊. My type of skin is oily skin. Now, i know already which product is suitable for me. I hope next time you can do a video of the most popular cushions in Korea suitable for oily skin. Thank youuuu 😊😊😊
Hiya, you're welcome. I love comments like this with video requests. Will keep a good note of it and get into researching! Thank you darling see you again 💚
Thank you for your thorough review! I just embarked on my Korean Sunscreen journey and I reference your videos to help with my highly indecisive self trait 😂. Just bought Skin1004 and Scinic and 2 Tocobo Cotton sun-sticks❤. Just subscribed and will be following your journey! Much Love!
I don't think of any of these sting your eye but I did have a few comments saying that the Iunik one was stinging so just be mindful of that. But there are many others who loved the iunik sunscreen including myself 🙂
Hiya, I would love to help you but this is a tricky question for me as you know I have no dark skin. In the new year my goal is to build a team from diverse backgrounds for richer content creation to help more people including you lovely :) For now, this channel might be helpful for you www.youtube.com/@itsLakishaa
Oh hi there how’s things great job my dear,is there any chance you can review any products for coloured brown skin type but without any type of alcohol ingredients involve please CHEERS THANKS
Can you please do a video of your top favorite matte finish Korean sunscreens? The dewy look can sometimes make me look oily, sweaty, and sticky. Are there any silky or powder finish sunscreens in K-Beauty? I would love to find something like Goop’s Unseen Sunscreen but in K-Beauty. Thanks so much!
Hiya thanks for your question! I believe that mineral sunscreens usually have a more matt finish than chemical sunscreens. I will be reviewing Korean mineral sunscreens in the new year so stay tuned :) In mean time for you, I can recommend Goodal Heartleaf Calming Moisture Sun Cream which is a chemical sunscreen with a matt finish and Torriden dive-in mild sun cream which is one of the most popular mineral Korean sunscreen that has won the Glowpick award. Can also check out our article on top 5 Korean sunscreens for oily skin here 👉www.oneeyebeauty.com/post/koreansunscreensforoilyskin Hope this helps! 🙂
Subscribed! Thank u for this recommendation for oily skin. I have oily sensitive skin specially sunscreen in the west. But for this I will try iunik since K beauty products use herbal extracts and calming.
Hiya, thank you so much for subscribing my friend! Welcome 💚 Some people mentioned that the Iunik sunscreen stings their eyes so just be aware of that. (It didn't hurt my eye at all) If you're oily skin type, you might also like Scinic and Skin1004 sunscreens as well :)
Great video, thanks. Without knowing it I bought the right one, the Iunik sunscreen. I have oily combination skin and bought this one for the summer. I am not used ( as a Dutch person) to use sunscreen in winter, but use a daycream with spf 30. I hope that is sufficient. Greetings!
Hiya! Thank you for your comment and congrats on randomly choosing the right sunscreen! Haha how did you find the Iunik sunscreen? Even in winter, I would suggest you keep using the Iunik one as the SPF in a day cream isn't enough. It won't give you the proper lasting sun protection and in fact, the moisturiser usually dilutes the SPF ingredients so whether rain or shine, try to apply a SPF product with SPF30+ PA+++ at least after your moisturiser :)
@@oneeyebeautyThanks for responding and your advice, I will think about it. It's definitely something to consider. I bought the Iunik sunscreen at our local Korean skincare store, I am not sure why exactly that one but maybe after your review of it. I suppose that where you live you also have a physical store to go to (?). It's also not more expensive as far as I can see. So I am blessed. Greetings, have a nice weekend.
I’ve heard that the skin 1004 air-fit suncream (the same packaging but brown pump) is better for oily/ acne skin than the water-fit. Have yoj tested that one?
I did review it in this video here so maybe worth watching! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wdPG3MlFmqA.html I think both are great for oily/acne skin tbh :)
Looking forward for missing Haru Haru, Anua, goodal sunscreen too.. I wish if you mentioned the sunscreens had pore blurring effect, eye stinging, fragrance-free, alcohol free or not.. Pls speak about Japanese sunscreen in next video.. thank you
Hiya thanks very much for your suggestions! Well noted and will make sure to add those elements. I’ll be reviewing Korean mineral/physical sunscreens soon featuring Haruharu and Goodal 🙂 Stay tuned 💚
Hiya, for sensitive skin with acne, I would say mineral sunscreens could be a better option. Goodal or SKIN1004 could be a good option. You can find out more from these videos here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_n1Asj8EQlo.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wdPG3MlFmqA.html
Out of these ones, I would probably suggest the numbuzin one but it does have a dewy finish. For sensitive skin types, I would recommend a mineral sunscreen. I think my video on mineral vs chemical sunscreen should help you here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_n1Asj8EQlo.html I also have a free sunscreen quiz gift & guide to help you find your best sunscreen match here gift.oneeyebeauty.com/sunscreen_match_quiz Hope this helps!
Hi lovely, I actually haven't tried those yet. Including the ones you've mentioned, and many more still to try I'll do another updated video in Spring next year :) Always feel free to ask us for a review 💚
Thank you, your video explain what i want to know, using skin1004 air-fit for around 2 month now but the spf is low only 30 pa ++++, want to try another skin1004 sunscreen and found the review on your video😊
Hiya, glad to hear that you found this video helpful! Not sure where you’re based but just want to let you know that SPF30 is ok to use in Winter time 🙂
Hiya, sorry about my late reply! And thank you for enjoying my video! The least shiny one from what I’ve shown in this video would probably be the Scinic sunscreen. It may seem shiny as soon as you apply but that soon disappears. I’ve shown another mineral sunscreen from Torriden (in love with these days) which is not very shiny as well. Can check that out from this vid here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bdKSkrDC_Go.html Hope this helps! 🙂
Hiya the Skin1004 sunscreen? It’s good isn’t it 🙂 Hope you will keep enjoying it. I’ll go more deep into the sunscreen reviews in the new year so stay tuned 💚
Hiya, I think both really suit to combo skin, but a couple of my subscribers had mentioned that the Iunik sunscreen gave them eye stung so I would recommend you the Scinic one just to be safe. Scinic has been selected as no.1 sunscreen for combo/oily skin by Director Pi as well. She's a massive Korean skincare influencer :)
Hiya, from what I've experienced none of the sunscreens shown in this video stung my eyes. But a couple of my subscribers had mentioned that they have experienced irritation on the eyes with the Iunik sunscreen. So maybe just avoid that one to be safe, the rest are all very gentle.
9:40 what????- you can see the white cast on screen. I’ve also used this BOJ sunscreen myself and it has noticeable white cast. I gave it to my mom cuz it works maybe as a “tone up” effect
I think it has a small amount of ascorbic acid so it would be best to use at night time, but if you use sunscreen at day time, it is fine in the morning also :)
As mentioned in the video, I would highly recommend iunik sunscreen for oily and combo skin. Also not mentioned in this video but Haruharu chemical (yellow tube) is very good for oily/combo as well. I reviewed it in this video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_n1Asj8EQlo.html
Hi. I'm Marta and I work at the Łukasiewicz Research Network in Poland. I'm developing a model that automatically generates people's feedback. Could I use your video about sunsceen?
Hiya, yes I think this sunscreen is suitable for acne-prone skin as it has soothing ingredients such as niacinamide & rice all good for oily skin. However it does give a glowing finish. I've noticed that some oily skin types did not like a dewy finish so thought I'd mention. Hope this helps :)
Ahh ok. Iunik has a slightly thicker texture in comparison. Purito has reformulated many of their products including the sunscreen. Is that the one you're referring to? I'm curious as I haven't tried that one yet 🙂
Hiya! Thanks for your question and sorry about my late reply. I'm afraid that all of these sunscreens have niacinamide in them. There is another good sunscreen for dry skin from By Wishtrend - UV defence moist cream. It's a moisturising sunscreen without niacinamide. I have done a review on it previously here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SQt6RUg3aVE.html Hope this helps :)
Hiya, I'm really sorry to hear that. I didn't find it eye-stinging at all but have now heard of a couple of similar feedback as you. Hope you will have a better experience with my other recommendations 🙏💚
From this video, I would Numbuzin as it's non-comedigebic. However for troubled skin, mineral sunscreens are a better option so I would suggest you check my other videos that features Korean mineral sunscreens here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_n1Asj8EQlo.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wdPG3MlFmqA.html You can also take my free sunscreen quiz to find out your best match here gift.oneeyebeauty.com/sunscreen_match_quiz
Where did you find out that the Round Lab Birch Juice sunscreen and Numbuzin protects for 10 hours? You’re the only one I’ve heard say that, and I really want to confirm because if that’s true, that sounds perfect since it’s so hard to reapply when wearing makeup all day. It seems like that would I be a great selling point, but I don’t see anywhere where they market that as a 10 hour sunscreen. Can you please confirm how you found that out? Thanks so much. 🙏🏼
Hiya, sure Numbuzin I've done a collaboration work with them so the 10 hour protection was confirmed by the brand. RL, is shown in Olive Young Global website here global.oliveyoung.com/product/detail?prdtNo=GA220815784 If you click on read more and scroll right down you will see the word 10h sunscreen, and in Korean it says proved 10 hour protection. Hope this helps 🙂
@@oneeyebeauty Wow. Thank you so very much for responding. That’s amazing. I wonder why it isn’t highly advertised like that though. I mean for me, that’s a total game changer cause we know it’s so hard to reapply every single 2 hours. I would market the hell out of that 10 hour protection and advertise that everywhere. Thanks for all your hard work. Really appreciate your reviews. 👍🏼
Yes I agree! I think Numbuzin do promote this everywhere. RL not so much. I'm unsure of the reason as well. Despite this mystery, RL is a best-selling sunscreen in Korea so they are still doing pretty well! Thank you for your comment as well. Hope to see you again my friend 🙂
Every other sunscreen is suitable for normal to dry skin, but for oily skin? Why is it so difficult for brands to develop sunscreen witu zero oily content or moisturization? Can't they make sunscreen with just water or true gel instead of oil? Really tired finding a truly dry sunscreen that will give an untra matte finish for extremely oily skin.
Hiya, yes I've heard of a similar problem raised by some of my other subscribers with oily skin. Have you tried the Haruharu sunscreens? I think it's the most matte sunscreen out of Korean options. I'll be showing it in my video that will go live shortly :) Also, for oily skin types you could consider sun sticks instead? You can check out some of my suggestions from my free sunscreen quiz gift file from here 👉 gift.oneeyebeauty.com/sunscreen_match_quiz Hope this helps! See you soon in my next sunscreens review video 🙂
@@oneeyebeauty I didn't expect a reply actually but I am so glad. Please tell me a sunscreen for "extremely" oily skin. My skin easily gets oily within one hour of washing my face and it has a shiny texture even when freshly washed. Anything I apply on my face makes it look instantly shiny. Niacinamide 10% and retinol 0.3% isn't working to reduce my oil. It means I need a totally dry and matte sunscreen. I have already tried a lot of Indian sunscreens as I am an Indian. Please suggest me a good dry touch matte sunscreen that blends without white cast instantly. Also, I will wait for the video.
After your suggestion I checked out this video. As my oily combination skin type I'm using Iunik sunscreen. But this one makes my skin super oily after some time 🥺 I m really frustrated about which sunscreen should I try next...
Hi Monisha, so sorry to hear that. If you have a very oily skin type, you might find a mineral sunscreen better than a chemical sunscreen. I explain the reason and recommend a product in this video here 👉studio.ru-vid.combdKSkrDC_Go/edit Hope this helps!
Hiya, Iunik isn't water resistant and it doesn't last for 10 hours. A number of my subscribers with acne-prone and oily skin types have mentioned that Scinic is a very good sunscreen for their skin. This I've ranked as 3rd in this video. Numbuzin sunscreen the one I've ranked as 2nd for oily skin type is noncomedogenic and has 10 hour protection. 🙂
Hiya, chemical sunscreens do tend to give a bit of a shiny finish and all of the sunscreens shown in this vid are chemical sunscreens. I would say out of these ones, Scinic was close to semi-matt. If you're looking for a matt finish sunscreen, I would suggest you use a mineral sunscreen. I'll be doing a mineral sunscreens review soon so hope you'll like it. Stay tuned 🙂
@@oneeyebeauty Thank you! Looking forward to it! Can you please note while you review them which one is the most matte and I'll buy that one :) Everything I've tried so far makes me too shiny and as a guy, I want to look super matte. To the point that I ordered the Scenic setting powder with SPF to try to look more matte. It was recommended to try by a comment on RU-vid. It's from YesStyle and I won't be able to try it for a couple of weeks until it arrives... But even then, I'd like to avoid using a setting powder :P
I've normal to very little oily skin type, so can i use the IUNIK one? because idk i really wanna try it but dont have any idea if it will suit my skin type. And about the sale, do you mean i will get 2 products within 18$ ? Or just 1?
Hi Catty, sounds like your skin is close to a combination so I think you will benefit from Iunik sunscreen. On Stylevana I can see that it's on offer for $17.79 for 2. Hope you will like it. Let me know how you go 🙂
Hiya, for oily & sensitive I would suggest the Scinic sunscreen as all of my subscribers with oily skin seem to have loved it after following my suggestion on this video. :)
Hiya, I think you're mainly after mineral sunscreens. I am currently preparing a video on Best Korean Mineral sunscreens that contain zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. I think you will like this one. It will be coming very soon so stay tuned 💚
Hiya I think SKIN1004 sunscreen is doing well in Korea followed by D'alba and Round Lab. I will try to do an updated Korean sunscreen video near Spring time. Stay tuned 🙂
Hiya, sorry about my late reply and thanks so much for liking my videos! The best-selling Korean waterproof sunscreen for over a decade is Hera sunmate leports. I have recommended and spoke about this product in this video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SQt6RUg3aVE.html Hope this helps 💚
thank u soo much.. this is not available of stylevana .. also i want best anti aging cream for my mum as she has lots of wrinkles.. do u no any best ant wrinkles cream.. shes around 50.. thank u soo much
Hiya, not a dumb question at all. Of course, all of these can be used on the body as well, however they are very small like 50-60ml so if used on the body you will use them up quickly. Scinic has a massive sunscreen in 200ml - SCINIC Enjoy All Round Watery Sun Cream SPF50+ PA++++ Maybe you should consider this one. I haven't tried this yet, but the brand Scinic makes great sunscreen products :)
Non-comedogenic, gentle and hydrating on the skin. However mineral sunscreens are even better for sensitive skin types which I will be doing a review video soon. If you have sensitive skin you might find that helpful so stay tuned 💚
Yes I think so as it has good ingredients to control oil-moisture balance, but it does have a dewy finish. People with oily skin may not prefer it for this reason.
@@oneeyebeauty i really wanna know if it cause small acne breakouts aka comedones cause beauty of joseon sunscreen caused alot of acne after 2 weeks of usage
Do Asian sunscreens have expiry dates? I bought the canmake (love!) but I threw out my 2nd tube because it was more than a year old. Also I can't read Japanese. I couldn't find anyone to contact to ask.
Hiya, with Korean sunscreens the expiry date is usually on the packaging box, but I believe that Canmake is a Japanese brand. I’m Korean and this is a Korean beauty channel so not very familiar with Japanese beauty brand and their packaging so I can’t really answer your question I’m afraid. I know that majority of Japanese cosmetics don’t have English translations on their packaging but the expiry date should be written in numbers so… maybe it was on the packaging box..? Sunscreens are recommended to be used within a year after opening so I think you did the right thing 🙂
@@oneeyebeauty What about Korean sunscreens? Where are their expiry dates for those who can't read the packaging? I'm interesting in trying theirs too.
K beauty sunscreen creams never mention the concentration of the filters. With the very lightweight texture and pleasant application on face, I doubt a little bit on their real performance in sun protection, especially their uva protection.
Hiya, I am unsure of which other sunscreens you're comparing the Korean sunscreens to. However, I can tell you that most Korean sunscreens have the SPF filter ingredients that are effective for blocking UVA as well as UVB all at the beginning of the ingredients list meaning that they are the main ingredients. For example, the Iunik sunscreen that I've shown in the video has Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate (blocks UVA) & Ethylhexyl Triazone (blocks UVB up to 314nm, widest wavelength). I understand that you can feel doubtful due to the lightweight texture, but I think their UV ray protection performance is reliable. I will try to do an in-depth video on this one day if you like. Happy sun protection 🙂
Hiya! Sorry about my late reply! Yes Numbuzin has a 10 hour sun protection. I’ve done a shorts video of testing this using my UV mirror here ru-vid.comk5Hym66l-WI It’s my fav sunscreen hope you will get to try it too 🙂
Oh really..? Rice is a hypoallergenic ingredient so it might be niacinamide that your skin didn't like..? Have you tried any other products with niacinamide before?
@oneeyebeauty yeses I was trying to find the ingredient this sunscreen has that others in my skincare don't have... I really liked how it felt but then in the afternoon I got hives around my neck and it's the only one I used for the first time.
True. Does your skin not like niacinamide? It isn't easy to find a skincare product without niacinamide, especially in Korean skincare products. It has many skin benefits
Oh aren't you lucky wish I was there right now..! It's very cold here in UK. Thanks for letting me know. So I'm guessing you would like a waterproof function in a sunscreen as well..?
I bought the sunscreen made by Beauty of Joseon and I am looking forward to try it out. Do you have recommendations for sunscreens for the body? I don't want to waste too much of the sunscreen on my arms, chest and hands during the day, because it only contains 50ml. Are there good and affordable options for the body? Preferably in bigger pack sizes. Thank you very much in advance!
Hiya sorry about my late reply. There is a jumbo sunscreen from Scinic - Enjoy All Round Watery Sun Cream which is good for the entire body. How did you go with BoJ sunscreen? Hope you’re enjoying it 🙂
@@oneeyebeauty The sunscreen is amazing!! I have never had such a cream before. So light and soft and my skin looks amazing. I really like that is doesn't smell like anything. It's perfect! I bought the Dynasty Cream as well (love it) and I have already ordered the cream made by Scinic which you recommended. Thank you very much for your advise!!! Revolutionary!!
Hiya, sorry about my late reply. I've heard from some that it stung their eyes but not so much the skin. It must contain an ingredient that doesn't suit your skin. But just because it stung once, doesn't mean that it will be the same. So if you still have it, maybe give it another go..?
@@oneeyebeauty oh no worries! Never expected a reply haha but nice of you to do so. I did try it a few times because i thought the same but no luck. It still stings my face. I use it on my chest and hands tho. No problem there😅
Hiya, I'm sorry to hear that about Iunik sunscreen. It has received a good review amongst oily skin types, and with its semi-matt finish formula, I didn't think that it was greasy. Have you tried any other K-beauty sunscreens? What did you like? :)
Hiya, I have shown a best-selling Korean waterproof sunscreen for over a decade from here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_Mcf3PCFYnM.html If you're based in UK or Europe, you can actually buy this one from me so send me an email hello@oneeyebeauty.com if you're interested 🙂
Hiya, yes I should have mentioned that in this video sorry about that. I'll be doing a Korean mineral sunscreen review video soon. I think you might like that so hope to see you there. See you again soon 💚
Someone else answered before me thank you! All the product names and shopping links can be found in the information section below the video. I would also highly recommend the SCINIC Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence for oily and combo skin :)
I wasn't able to try that at the making of this video unfortunately. Will try to cover it this year before summer. Before then, I will have the Korean mineral sunscreen review coming soon so if that's something that interests you as well, stay tuned 💚
