Not sure how much I can trust this guy's review if he can't pronounce Laguiole even close to correctly. Also, Forge de Laguiole does not go back to the 1800s, it was started in the 1980s, I believe.
Except for Honoré Durand these are not well researched reconmendations... Fontenille Pataud and Durand are the way to go, if your looking for a great pocket knife of quality. Durand gives you a lot of customisation options, while Pataud gives you tasteful modern takes/updated versions on the classic design (blade lock, or blade fall stop for example). Laguiole stake knives... I don't know. Sure they cut and look good, but it's a bit like having a Bosch toothbrush when you can have a Braun. smh.
2021-12-29 😫 What a crap, please don't buy these mess! The good Laguiole are very expensive and way better knives for a hole life time. And all good Laguiole are made by hand not by machine.
Learn how to pronounce properly the french name of that knife ,it is not difficult . Further more for the best made Laguiole it is Fontenil Pataud in Thier ,the quality cannot be surpassed nor the fit and finish ,and why do you show Indian and Chinese knock offs that are not worth crap ,further more you are more advertising than know what you are talking about , you seem to repeat false claims and it is evident you know shit about those Laguioles
Even beeing not a French, your pronounciation hurts my ears ... From the content: It's a crude mixture of folders and fixed blades - very strange. Most of the presented knives are no names, even not really good made. Have a look at my favourite knife maker: Fontenille Pataud from the french village Thiers where the best Laguioles are made. You will see the difference.
