Hahaha you are too kind 😀Feels good to be back! Had a lot of things going on the last few months but excited to be back making content again for everyone 😀🙌🏻
What exactly did you use for audio in this video? I'm looking to upgrade and I've been using a zoom h5 with a Giant Squid lav for years now as you can see in my videos. My question is, if I upgrade to a several hundred $$ mic, should I go with a shotgun or better lav for my small room green screen studio? Also I've chosen to go with lav in the past due to not having a deep/strong voice and it being closer to my mouth seemed like a better option. Thanks!
Thanks David! This was a great video, I’ve been searching for this info, as well. I would be curious how the countryman matchstick compares to these mics, as well!
Wow, first thing I said when i put on this video was "man does that this setup look good!" The muted green tones are a very nice backdrop compared to a lot of the other more intensely setup backdrops. What camera and book mic are you using to record this? Great comparison by the way!
Imo the Sanken sounds best, in comparison the Tascam sounds like it has a blanket over it, the TR50 sounds muddy and midrangey to me. All of that being said, for being free with a reliable recorder, the Tascam certainly holds its own. A little eq and it could be brightened. Found this while searching for cos11d reviews and think it's a great video. Thanks!
Hi, nice video. Can't help but think if you're mic'ing the left of your chest but then speaking off-axis to the right it might not be the best way to show what these mics can do.
