Yeah imagine if they DID something meaningful with the CANON LORE (ruined king and arcane aren't canon, and the ruination event... well we don't talk about that...)
There is a similar character in anime bleach who split himself in two to not be lonely. I wonder if riot got inspiration from there or there is another even older story
My favourite is “Tomorrow is a hope, Never a promise.” Hints at the idea of living life to the fullest because you never know when it could end suddenly.
the 'lamb tell me a story' quote is just unbelievably good, creative, chilling and absolutely amazing everyone hated death bc they all had to face him so death became lonely and split himself in two, wow way to explain the backstory of a champion
@@Paint_Man14 i know, but kindred is the “depressed person” who killed themself. It’s like an analogy for someone who gets shunned by society, then they split themselves (suicide) so that they could always have a friend (go to afterlife / be at peace). I relate the stories to real life, since kindred is not a real thing.
@@korayeden891 I dont think the hate he reffers to is Zed but Rhaast instead. Some of Kayns lines especially after transforming into Shadow Assassin hint that Kayn enjoys Rhaasts company and respects and even likes him. But Rhaast couldnt care less, he goes along with the banter and interactions while as a scythe but his true intentions and feeling towards Kayn are shown when transformed into Darkin form.
@@nino7771cp To Rhaast Kayn is nothing, he and his brothers slaughtered countless humans. He couldn't care less about them, to him they are just inferior beings, who will worship him as a god or die. In the lore i don't really think Kayn is able to defeat Rhaast in a battle of wills, after all Rhaast is a very powerful being. We don't have any info about how can a person wield a darkin weapon, but we know that for example Varus was used against the other darkin. I honestly have no idea where Kayn's story will lead, but one thing is sure, if Rhaast wins Kayn will surely die.
"Long before blades and sorcery are needed... words... can save a soul" is an amazing line. I kinda wish that this became the theme of the next season of Arcane or it's successor show that focuses on Ionia and Noxus. We saw how right Vander was when he said: "Violence does not solve problems, only makes more of them" by observing Vi's story. We saw how right Silco was when he said: "Power, true power comes to those who would do anything to achieve it." by observing Jinx's story. Now the show needs a more positive message. It needs someone who can heal Jinx. Yasuo lived (or will live) through the very similar trauma and both Jinx and him crave "brother/sister that accepts me for who I am" in their life. I wonder if they will become friends or even adoptive siblings if Jinx's story ever goes beyond twin cities.
There are also many touching and interesting lines in the Legends of Runterra too. Here, for example: Swain: Your cause is lost Treant, why fight? Maokai: Because no one else will.
@@Pinglol I would like even a part 50 this kind of things is amazing and I think with things like this I can love league of legends... but just not the game it self
@@hooligan8776 i mean, he could have given in to the black mist and become an extremely powerful ghoul, but he endured that much suffering and stayed himself even when the maiden started whispering in his ear because he believed in justice against viego, "i am enough" literally is just him saying that he wont give in. im just saying that theres a reason why viego in pentakill 3 teaser says "beware the honorable man" when he speaks about yorick, i remember i read a story about him how he takes in those who survive in the mist long enough to meet him, to stay by their side until they die then give them a proper burial or something like that.
For me, personally, the best quotes for Aatrix and Yorick are, respectively: "Once in noble battle, I screamed against the silence. I stood as light against the Darkness. Now... I serve a new master... Oblivion." and "Remember my name... for one day I will not..."
Aatrox is just seen as this angry screaming guy by the enemy players. But if you play him and listen to him long enough, you understand just how much despair he is in. "We march to battle. Let me carve flesh. Let me cloak myself in the slaughter. Hide me in the carnage. Hide me from this suffering." "The only peace I seek...is death." "I have no goodness left. It was taken from me, stolen. I am the nemesis of life."
For me, the best lines Pantheon ever said were: “Behind me lies a farm. I wonder if there is bread above the hearth. And if I will ever return." and “After every defeat, I ran around the mountain until even shame could not keep up."
Aatrox is honestly the most appealing “villain” in the lore, he was the incarnation of justice when he was untainted by the void, and when it came time for him to die, he was sealed instead. The eons completely broke him, and the only thing he can do to free himself is eradicate enough people so that he can never be wielded again, maybe then he’ll be allowed to rest. I’m sure him and mordekaiser will hit it off in the hopefully not so distant future.
Nah. My idea is that Aatrox will die fighting Morde, getting his wish and also wounding/weakening Morde enough for Runeterra to win. Could totally imagine Pantheon having a heart to heart with him. Two enemies giving each other the strength to keep fighting
@@notme3603 it seems to be a reference from a quote from Ray Bradbury: “I don't believe in being serious about anything. I think life is too serious to be taken seriously."
Yeah, and besides, Rakan and the other vastayah are getting hunted by humans. Thats why he despites them, Rakan isn't serious about anything (all his voice lines are about that), so this fits him well.
My favourite quote is from Swain. "Just because you sit on a throne, it does not make you a ruler. It only means you have an arse" It's painfully accurate wherever you go, not just with rulers/kings...etc. how many people have bosses that are only bosses because of the badge, and not because they can actually act like it. And it was also kinda funny to hear it the first time
That what I always feel when people band my Yasuo “there is no cure for fools” … how fitting? When the enemies ban him it is because they don’t know how to deal with him and think he is op And when my team ban him when i hovered him it is because of the “stigma” Yasuo is a masterpiece of a character, so lore accurate, accused wrongly either by people who consider him broken or who trash on him and he remains The Unforgiven
Pantheon & Yoricks lines, in combination with their lore, are truly something else. Imagine being a man that overcomes a god? Imagine being a monk that speaks to the dead, only to know your entire world die before you yet you cannot. Also nothing beats Urgots, "I am stronger than man, stronger than machine. I am an idea"
@@bullymaguire9048 Viego revived the aspect of war inside of Pantheon and then overtook him, after Viego was defeated Atreus overcame the aspect and now fights as a mortal, his power being SHEER FUCKING WILL
Not really It is refering to Volibear being afraid that he Will be forgotten which is the only thing that can truly kill him in the end. Also Sejuani and the Winters Claw are trying to steal a cauldron, not fight Volibear since he is one of the strongest entities in all of league
“How far I have fallen, a God, reduced to a prisoner.” Will forever be my favourite Aatrox voice line, the VA did really great, it’s like you can feel exactly how Aatrox is feeling..
This song has enhanced these voicelines to a point where I was tearing up from start to finish of this video. Especially Aatrox's part, what an amazing character, I hope we can see him in Arcane one day.
"Everyone wears a mask, I just choose to create my own." Honestly, I cant agree more than I just do right now with that quote. I did the same, and still do so
“Today it seems we must put our animosity aside. We’ve never been enemies sister. How beautiful your mind must be to think such things, how tragic yours to believe them..” Always gets me
I thought Aurelion would have some voice lines on here, but then I realized that this was supposed to hit deep and hard, not roast the receiver alive considering most his lines are just fire burns against everyone else except perhaps Bard.
I think Morgana voicelines are quite nice. I especially like these ones: „Betrayal never comes from your enemies“ „Those who soar amongst the clouds lose sight of the ones below“ „Wether by chains or by wings, we are all bound“ „With every step I forge my own fate“ „My wings are bound but my soul flies“ „My broken heart still beats“ „Only those you love can break your heart“
"I march to death. Though I wish it was my own" is a deep quote coz even though Aatrox wants to die, he's so powerful that either his allies die or his enemies. But never him.
Yorick's '' we are dead much longer than we are alive '' made my heart skip a beat. I have no words to describe how it made me feel. His '' i am enough '' speaks volume as well. I might be crazy but i feel like playing him just for those 2 lines.
The "Varus V-A-R-U-S" is really good hehe. But my favourite one has to be the "You can sit on a throne, that doesn't make you a ruler. It only means you have an arse." by Swain Also no Aurelion Sol :(
Thank you to the creator of this compilation. THANK YOU. I'm a lonely LOL player with not a lot going on in my real life. All I really have is gaming and the feelings that this video brings me is enough to really move me and make me feel alive again. Again, thank you.
“I March Towards Death, Though I wish it was my own…” Aatrox’s intentions are almost justified, he simply was cursed to a fate of immortality in the form of being sealed in his own weapon. He simply wants to cause oblivion, with hope that perhaps he too will be apart of it…
One thing I absolutely adore about Kindred's design is that Lamb and Wolf respond to eachother really really fast, almost as if they know exactly what the other one is thinking. Which I think is just an amazing set of details they've put into the character.
At first aatrox always sounds so edgy. But if you actually listen to his tone of voice and think about what he said it just shows his pain and suffering
Thats why I started playing him. Sure he is epic, a godlike warrior and so on, but goddamm when he starts to speak and you realized he has been living for thousands of years and half of those trap in a sword with nothing to feel, see, smell, hear all the while he ascended technically to protect people, got corrupted for protecting said people and then they seal him since he cant die... is just heart wrenching.
Hey ping, just wanted to say i really appreciate and like your videos. It really gives me a different viewpoint on things. And you prove that league is not league with only gameplay but with its lore
my favourite quote " all things must meet this man, so they shunned him" death himself was so lonely, it wanted a friend so badly it split itself into two!
Wolf: "Lamb, tell me a story." Lamb: "There was once a pale man with dark hair who was very lonely." Wolf: "Why was it lonely?" Lamb: "All things must meet this man, so they shunned him." Wolf: "Did he chase them all?" Lamb: "He took an axe and split himself in two right down the middle." Wolf: "So he would always have a friend?" Lamb: "So he would always have a friend."
"We are what we overcome"... holy shit. Whoever wrote League lines damn. You can give League shit for whatever reason but the art directors surely put effort into innovative champ designs, aswell as great voice lines and lore and delivery. Theres more love to detail here than a game like this would technically need, and yet they do it.
"The eye that looks ahead to the safe course is closed forever" - Zoe Every league of legends character has that deep voiceline that is and will always be a life lesson 🧡
@@ashuranero5721 The suggestion that if you're too preoccupied with doing things the safe, proven way then you'll never look 'out of the box' or innovate.
Kindred lines really cut deep when you truly listen to the lines. You really rethink your life and want to live for something more. People should really listen to her voice lines. “Tomorrow is a hope, not a promise.” Hits so freaken hard to me with this type of music playing.
0:08 I've heard this quote a million times, been playing for a while now. I've been distant from everyone I used to love and hold dear to myself in pursuit of bettering myself and finding success, and I swear i almost cried because I haven't really processed my ongoing depression and the agonizing pain that comes from pushing forward. I mean, here I am posting a comment on a video surrounded by people who know nothing about me, just hoping there's still someone somewhere who will truly open their ears and listen.
i feel obligated to mentions my two main's quotes. garen is quite the motivation speaker: "our deeds shape the future", "fear is the first of many foes", "keep faith in yourself", "be bold, be just" warwick got some serious burns: "so deep in piltover's pockets, I can only see your hat." to cailyn "and i thought the chembarons were vermin." to twitch "you're going to need more bandages" to singed "you can't even kill an insect" to rengar
