plexiglass+ side hinges ^^ Surely without the middle piece the ceiling of the wide besta becomes less strong so I wouldn't charge it with a lot of weight otherwise it will tend to bend

Thank you for the comment! For PAX there are: TYSSEDAL and BERGSBO. I personally don't like them very much, I would make a bespoke glass door. Maybe made of plexiglass to be lighter and cheaper

Hey :) It's a single BESTÅ (120x40x38) without the central panel. They are not two single structures (60x40x64) side by side. I hope I have explained. I hope I was understandable :D

The creator told me it was a BESTÅ 120x40x38 without the central panel. I'm watching at the instructions on the IKEA website: the two back panels should be straight even without the central panel, with side connections and with the panel on top. Sorry I can't help you more. forgive me :,)

@@brickadvisor2475 The two back panels are straight no doubt, but without the central panel, there will be a small gap in between the two panels. the only Besta I saw that has the closest to closing that gap is the TV Bench version, but the top panel has a hole in it (for wires to go through) so it's not entirely suitable for my purposes too... sigh... Thanks anyways! Would be great if there could be a solution to this however haha

Thank you for the comment! Yes for the first question. Yes for the second question. And yes it's clear :) It's a "double-besta" without the "separation" in the center. the glass fronts is custom made and it's in plexiglass to be lighter and cheaper. I also love that arrangement

Just a little bit concerned about the weight of the castle holding on the Plexiglas floor. Maybe this ist real glass?

@@Akitox97 sorry I mis explained myself, the front anti-dust glass is in plexiglass. I don't know more information about the glass that holds the weight of the castle

you have to use a plexiglass because it's cheap and light and you have connected it with side hinges

@@soright34 the data sheet says that the maximum load is 20Kg for each horizontal surface if the structure is positioned on the ground ^^

You can buy the official kit on Ikea's website. "MITTLED" or "NORRFLY" are perfects ;)

Hello :) "UCS model on display stand measures over 17” (44cm) high, 43” (110cm) long and 26” (66cm) wide, and over 14” (37cm) high without stand". It's too big for every Ikea bookcase. I think you need a shelf, a big one :)

"Hogwarts™ Castle measures over 22” (58cm) high, 27” (69cm) wide and 16” (43cm) deep". So you need the PAX 58cm deep ^^

Most of them are equipped with the glass made by ikea. For the others: plexiglass :)

@@justij6414 You have to write "Detolf shelf" on ebay and buy the "clips Add" or "Shelf Branckets". It's simple but there are tutorials on youtube :)

If you are talking about LEGO 10261, It's: 53x88x41cm. So you need a PAX: 100x58x201cm. The newest LEGO 10303 is: 92x85x34cm, so you also need a PAX. Because the lenght of the BILLY is maximum circa 77cm, so it's not enough :)

@@brickadvisor2475 look, the detolfs are real dust catchers, a real disaster ... But they have the best display skills. I have both billy and besta with their glass doors, but, there are several inches of space between glass and wood then also between the hinges ... you are forced to insert the foam rubber adhesive draft excluders that are used for windows and doors to try to insulate ... but still the dust gets everywhere ...

@@brickadvisor2475 I have a large liatorp display cabinet, but in addition to being very bulky and excessively expensive, it has the defect of being rather dark and having no modularity in the positioning of the shelves. However, always with draft excluders, it insulates from dust better than all the others.
