I have NANO 49" and for me it's the best choice. It has nice brightness and contrast. Very vivid and has smooth motion. It enhacnes 1080p video and make it apoear 4K. Black may not be as black as OLED but in most movies and room lighting condition, I would say it's still a good black. Local dimming is mediocre but you can disable it anyway.
@@MasterOfWindTributes Man this burn-in maybe yes in older tv like c7 but now just forget about it and if you want a peace of mind like me just get the burn in warranty for 4 years as i did.. but trust me it's not gonna happen.. the only way it will happen if you try hard for a whole year on one single channel 24/7
bin veto that’s funny that you said C7 because that’s the OLED that I have with the burn in issues😂 got a 55 B6 and loved it so much I got the 65 C7 and played way too much madden on it and got the timeouts from the scoreboard burned into the top of the screen. You can’t see it when watching movies because of the black bars covering it but it still aggravates me that i ruined that tv. I’m thinking of getting a 77 CX or the 85 Q90T from Samsung. Any thoughts on my two choices? I wanted something really big and LG only goes up to 77 haha I would probably get the burn in warranty from Best Buy as well, but I’m sure that Samsung couldn’t be that much worse than the CX and it is 8 inches bigger, so idk I’m having a hard time deciding.
@@jamesadkinsiii7925 easy always go with the bigger screen both are top TVs you cant go wrong with either of them.. if you are planning on heavy gaming and you can wait like 3 month the new Samsung TV will be out with 2.1 HDMI and hopefully low latency
bin veto thats actually Perfect because I am currently waiting until Dec. 15th to go to basic training and then I have tech school and all that afterwards so I won’t be out of all that until around May of 2021.
Best LG TV's to buy are the 2019 C9, B9 and Nanocell SM9000. Skip 2020 models since they've got no DTS audio support and gimped HDMI 2.1 ports. Hopefully LG will learn from their mistakes and bring some decent 2021 models to the market.
I had a terrible burn in on the LG OLED however LG did come out to replace the screen. I gave the TV to my son and switched to a Nano LG TV to avoid any future problems.
In the summer of 2019 I bought a 4K 50 inch LGUK6090pua for $299.99 & its been a great budget TV for 4K content or 1080p content, I mainly use it for sports, Netflix movies & sometimes PS4! I would highly recommend buying an LG if ur looking for a good TV on a budget! I haven't used the LG UN7000, but its a newer model for a great price & its probably a little better than the LG I currently have!
So i own a LG nanocell 86 model and i havnt had any issues with blacks lookin black in dark rooms i watch and collect alot of blu ray movies and havnt experienced this issue, unless i became colorblind all of the sudden. The tv is great for gaming with great VRR.Only downfall i have noticed is the HDR for watching movies doesnt stand out very well,i find putting movies in vivid or even sports mode makes details and colors pop more but thats just my preference.
@RaozSkillz You mean microLED... In LCD Sony are better than Samsung and LG. a Sony, Philips, Panasonic etc TV has a LG OLEDpåanel in them... Basicly only LG that makes TV OLED panels. So then it comes down to prossesing.
GX 4.2 speaker layout with 60w output. CX 2.2 speaker layout with 40w output.. Looks and sound are the main differences.. You might get away without a soundbar on the GX.
Bought last week B9 1008euro.. 400-600e price difference with CX/BX Usage is in dark room as a PC monitor or just Netflix. Damn it's awesome.. as a PC I used all recommended settings from here. +Added Eco mode, when I'm using it as a monitor to reduce brightness, +turned off cleartype . Atm Vega 64=>LG=>(eARC)Yamaha RX 2050. 1440p, Full RGB, HDR, 120hz, 8bit, freesync unlocked 40-120hz with Cru. Desktop pure black, autohide taskbar, "Actual Hide Desktop" which it's set with 1 click on a logitech mouse, which hides/reveals all desktop icons ASAP. Will upgrade to nvidia or amd 2.1 hdmi gpu and calbes from club 3d soon for 4k/120/12 or 10bit. OLED is AMAZING!! :D ps. IDC for burn in, I took all precotions, if it happens will buy an OLED again or next gen tech just never LCD ever again.-
Love your videos and website nobody goes into as much detail as you guys on your reviews. I picked up a lg cx Thursday from best buy and picked up a 5 year warranty for piece of mind. I do a lot of gaming but I don’t do the crazy long session like some people 2-3 hours max at a time. I just know without the warranty I would be worried about burn in all the time and almost picked up a q90t because of this and it’s crazy brightness. I’ve never spent this much on a tv before my set now is a 2 year old tcl 6 series. Its been a good tv and I really enjoy the roku os it’s simple but gets the job done. But hdr content never looked good to me it was too dark in games I’m hoping with the cx it should look much better.
I purchased the nano 090! Like it so far! I toyed with purchasing the CX, however, decided it was more TV then I needed! Nevertheless, it was my 1st new TV in 23 years! My Panasonic Goo, finally gave up. So any of these LG TV’s would be a huge upgrade!😊
Thank you for this video. I’ve had an LG LED LCD TV FOR 9-10 yrs that went out that was 42in and THIN. Loved it and my insurance co is trying to replace it with a UN6900 series that I know isn’t even close to where the mode I had was in LGs line up. Not asking the ins co to replace II with what I paid for it but replace with the features I had, even if the tv is 4K UHD, doesn’t mean that circumvents the other features. Right now, the LG 49NANO85UNA matches what the features I had on my LG tv.
@1660tiehm, it used to be like this, but the new lg cx 48 tv is great as a monitor, with the instent respons time and 120hz vrr its great for pc gaming. so yes some tvs are made more for gaming and can be used for it. the new lg cx also comes with both g-synx and free-sync so it dose have mulitplae features for gamers.
I watch movies in a dark room, so I would like to think the OLED is for me. However, it just seems like the negatives were piling on each other for the OLEDs. I do believe I will choose the NANO 50" and it's massively cheaper anyway.
How come nobody talks about the active HDR that are on the UN7000 models? That's one of the main features that no other TV has. That's what convinced me to buy a 55UN7000.
Having a lot of models only gets me confused. There should be only 3 category UN, NANO and OLED, and come in all sizes. With UN so many version, NANO so many version and OLED a few version. Furthermore, my distributors do not carry all version for me to purchase. They only carry UN70, not UN73, hence this review kinda redundant. I am having a headache now.
I think LG will be my next brand. My current Sony 4K TV is woefully slow, taking up to 5 seconds to simply switch inputs, and doesn't remember picture settings between HDMI connections. And LG and Samsung seem to be the only brands with HDMI 2.1 features...
There is a Sony TV that supports HDMI 2.1. I know the feeling. I love my previous Sony TV and want another Sony but LG CX OLED TV offer's really great benefits as a gamer and a movie lover.
Call me old fashioned, but the 54" Panasonic Viera Plasma I am still using in my family room has virtually no drawbacks like the newer panels do. Am I missing something?
Honestly the Nano is not worth it. Its double the price of the UN8500 but essentially the same tv. TruMotion 240 in the Nano is worthless and I find the function actually worsens picture quality. Both TVs are native 120hz refresh rate. So why pay double???
Always had 7 or 8 series Samsung. Got talked into a Nano LG 49” 9 series at Curry’s for our snug. Didn’t last a year. Back to Samsung QLED, much better 🤔
It works like a Scale it can increase brightness yes, but if the screen detects to high of brightness across the entire screen it will dim the entire picture, there is a cool video on HDTVTest channel where a small white circle grows larger till it fills the screen, at first its very bright and the contrast is very High but as it expands to cover the screen you can see it Dim, this is to protect the OLED's from getting too bright for too long and damaging themselves.
I'm looking between LG 55UN7400 (w/ free LG SK1 sound bar) vs Sony 55X7500H. Both at same price. W/c one is should I get? Will use it primarily as a living room set
@@angcatoy4189 that good. I already decide to buy that tv too. Sony just have good picture and sound quality but LG not far behind in term of that. Furthermore LG feature more interesting and magic remote I can't resist it's charm. I used LG LED tv before, that's why I can't forget LG.
What's a better TV for my bedroom Samsung Q60A 65" or LG 65NANO91 65"? What's a better TV for my family room Samsung Q60A 75" or LG 75NANO91 75"? Or would you recommend a different brand and model in the same price range?
I’ll be purchasing a tv within the next two months and the primary use will be movies. I seldom if ever watch network stations. What would you recommend? Thanks.
Hey! The new 2021 TVs have just been released and we're getting our orders in to test the new units. Do you prefer to wait for the new TVs? If not, here is our list for Best TVs for Watching Movies! www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/by-usage/movies
Thanks for a Good show ..super info. What do you think about the LG 2020 55NANO866NA compared to 2021 LG 55 nano086 ... Can you help me with the difference in image quality. Bilder and blooming.
Hey Bertil! Unfortunately, we have reviewed the 2021 NANO85(86 in EU) so we can't say how comparable it is to last year's model. It is up on our Suggestion Tool though if you'd like to vote for it: www.rtings.com/tv/suggestions
My city stores is current selling LG C9 more 25% cheaper than LG CX model, what should i get between it ? Does LG CX worth more than C9 at that rate price?
I bought Lg neno80 55" , it's good for bright room but worst for dark or cinema environment, to much backlight led reflection, should I replace with UN7300 ?
Just been looking on Harvey Norman in New Zealand . 49" Nanocell now $1395, 55" CX OLED at $4558. Sorry, but coming from a 11 Year old Panasonic 37"in a very sun filled room, you know what I'm buying... Why pay more than 3X the price for an OLED?
As bad as I want the samsung q80t im going to opt fpr the nano 90 55 inch. I've seen both the nano and samsung on demo and can tell you the q80t picture is outstanding!!.i currently own a lg uh7700 and still runs like a champ. I guess every tv has its pros and cons so no matter what your never going to get a perfect tv.
