Best Logitech MX Master 2s Setup - (Custom Settings for Mac Users) 

For something that it's so specific and narrowed as this, finding a video about it made our lives in the studio so much easier, we were looking for trackpads, we couldn't find any bellow $80 and then we found this mouse for $50 and decided to give it a go. I´ve been using my MX master on my MacBook pro for over 1 year now, and I was totally okay with it. But after activating that gesture button... Man... A whole new experience with the MacBook and the MX. Inverting the feature with swiping through desktops makes it much more natural when you are used to swiping with the pad(and also iPhone and iPad.) I did not even know about the lower thumb button until I watched this video! Thanks!

Thanks a lot, Patrick! These settings are mostly helpful for me as a developer too. I didn't need zoom, so I changed Thumb button to mouse lock shift; helps me change between scroll few lines or a few hundred lines. Rest of the settings are perfect! That button in the middle is perfect for window gestures as well, because the thumb button is so hard to press.

PS to those that have the mx master and are using on mac I would recommend downloading logi options + (beta). You can enable smooth scroll! SO much better than how it came out the box.

So I got the trackball mouse version M570 and I had some trouble because the software particularly used in this video was different from what I had to download from this model I purchased. However, this video was very useful once I got to the Logitech site and got the right software. Thanks! it works the same but slightly different I hope this can prevent those who put a thumbs down very useful just not for all Logitech mouse models.

thanks Patrick. I did get the Logitech MX 2s on Friday.. I produce on Logic Pro X. I love my Magic Mouse1 I really did until it started disconnecting over and over and over the past year so i decided to get another mouse.. My experience with the MX2S has been good.. I'm getting use to it especially using the horizontal scroll wheel.. Frankly, I'm going to keep this MX2S and get the Magic Mouse 2.. I didn't know that it has a charger.. I just like how Magic Mouse is soooo smoooth when i scroll, edit, produce in Logic Pro.. Otherwise, MX2S is a solid alternative.. INDEED.. this youtuber is great.. Love his humor and energy..

Thank you greatly for this video, I couldn't get spaces -- I'm using the old school term for referring to switching virtual desktops on mac, I don't like referencing mission control by name--to work with the gesture button on the 2s and although I knew about changing the keyboard shortcuts, I didn't know control left arrow and right arrow respectively makes this work until I tested it where control 1 and control 2 wouldn't work with the gesture button. Sorry for the long post, thank you for this! I have like and subscribed too so it helps you out here.

Thank you for this video! When setting it up gesture button and some other features didn't work (like switching desktop). I was needed to give the app permission to control my computer at System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> check Logi Options Daemon

First I got the triathlon and used it.... for the price 26 bucks it’s worth it. But the size was but smaller so I got master 2s for 70 bucks. 6/29/19 I haven’t opened it but customize feature and workflow are preferential but size of this I believe is a bit bigger and better

hello!! A little bit of an old vid, so it's definitely ok if you don't get it right away! Does the trackpad option for swiping between windows, & using the swiping gesture for the mouse, work the same for the Logitech203? I have figured out how to use the shortcut for the side buttons, but it would definitely be a smoother, more efficient to do it this way. I was also wondering how to save the custom settings. Do you have to export them, or do they automatically save, even if you have more than 1 profile set up? I work between Logic, Photoshop, and Chrome the most often. I will definitely be utilizing the shortcut tools for the mouse for PS. Thanks again, and great video, loved this!!

Unfortunately the latest Logitech Options software is buggy for Mac. My mouse keeps disonnecting and reconnecting constantly with the software installed.

Omg i thought that swiping through apps couldn't work on any other mouse/trackpad other than Apples owns and it has always been that thing why i don't change my mouse to other one. But now because it's possible im definetly upgrading to MX Anywhere 2s. Also my Magic Mouse 2 broke yesterday so...

For some reason I got everything to work but I can't swipe to change desktops with the same settings you have. Pretty confused.
