London’s 1,000-year-old market is so amazing, it’s like a mini United Nations! To be honest, I don’t know how to choose when seeing so many delicious foods! The strawberries in cups, the seafood Valencian risotto , and the Italian cannoli impressed me the most! The second market’s Cuban beef stew, fried hot dogs, and Brazilian churros look so tempting! You are Italian, so why are you Hungarian, too? Haha! Thank you for making my Sunday morning less boring, great job. 👍🥰👏
Always my friend! Great to see you too Gianni! London is truly amazing! Hungarian on one side and Italian on the other. Always glad to hangout on Sunday man!
@@Davidsbeenhere Please forgive me, I forgot that you have said that, I knew you were just like an Italian-Hungarian who is a star in my country! Thanks a lot for reminding me once again, you are very nice! I look forward to seeing your beautiful smile with my own eyes one day!
This food looked absolutely amazing. What a beautiful market plus the Christmas decorations were a beautiful touch. Hope to visit there one day. Also loved you giving the people a chance to tell their story too! You are so good at letting locals truly tell their story instead of talking over them like many others do.🔥
You'll love it! Definitely must go experience at those London markets. There are so many good ones though the only hard part is deciding which amazing ones you want to see!
My wife and I visited the Borough market last October. It is a bit overwhelming with all the people and long lines. Everyone should experience the amazing smells and food though!
I go wild for any type of market and the first was jaw-dropping! I LOVED all the risotto boys and the amazingly vibrant produce! The ginormous cooking vessels were so impressive! You are so great at connecting with people and letting them share their stories! Making them feel seen by speaking in their own language too!! What a fun video David 😍
So glad you enjoyed it Emily! Thank you so much. Great to see you too. Agreed markets are the best and the risotto boys were hilarious. The risotto was amazing too so they talked the talk and walked the walk!
@@Davidsbeenhere I had to send this video to my mom and my aunt who love when I share food and travel videos! Can’t wait for more from you. Wishing you good health and safety ❤
David so glad you made it to London my now hometown originally Jamaica. I've heard of Borough market but still not been there. Dont think you need any dinner after all that food, enjoy.
Bro i wish i could have taken you to leather lane market! so many better options!!!!!!! Also so much better value! Borough market is for tourists and leather lane for the london workers!!!!!!
I just love seeing markets.. the colors of the fruits/vegetables....the peoples....all....just so beautiful.... the foods looks delicious too....As always Thanks David....safe travels Peace. ❤❤
Markets truly are a feast for the senses, and so much delicious food, stories, and people. I always appreciate you and your support my friend. Have a great weekend and thank you! Give my best to Hailey as well.
I'm glad David was able to flex his language skills in this one. In order to be one of the RU-vidr foodie elites you MUST be able to speak multiple languages fluently. Don't underestimate David's level of sophistication, intelligence and language skills - English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and he always throws in a little bit of Asian languages where appropriate. Also if he doesn't speak the language, he will speak the geography to at least try to make a connection.
Borough Market is great. Brick Lane is definitely better on a Sunday, and when the weather is better. That's when every street is packed. I'd also recommend checking out Camden for the food, music, and alternative vibes, and Maltby Street Market leading on to the Bermondsey Beer Mile (check opening times for the breweries). 😁
Wow thank you so much skast3r! Thats so kind of you to say and a great suggestion. I'll be sure to check it out because I'll be back to London often it looks like! By the way I want to thank you for being a part of the channel for so many years, it really does mean a lot to me. Have a great evening!
When I am up Town, its a must. And yes loads of Tourist but its not really a trap. Take your time , the food eat on the go, and if your interested food to take home. Its very close to the river Thames and the tourist sights.
I remember a few years back on one of your lives you asked where you should go and I suggested London and Paris, etc. You said that you wouldn’t really be focusing on Europe. 😂 It’s therefore so lovely to see you over here trying all the things we have. Glad you changed your mind. 😊 Brick Lane is also a haven for Indian restaurants and food, I’m surprised you didn’t try any of them.
I saved my Indian Video for Southhall area, there is a huge video coming very very soon! And yeah, London was just a place I really need to go. Europe is very much on the radar for this year also due to some other behind the scenes stuff too!
I am from Norfolk Island South Pacific and have been looking at going to London with my wife for a holiday. Only have ever been as far as Australia and have been watching many clips on London. Your clip has really up the anti for us to go now, while the markets look very much the typical market, the amount of food you brought to the attention of the viewers is awesome. As for us the $AUD conversion to GBP means we will be looking for the best food on a budget. Love to have Davesbeenhere on Norfolk Island one day. Home of the first Convicts Ex London and home of the Mutineers who hid out on Pitcairn Island after the Bounty Mutiny.
Oh you didn't get taken to the historic bagel bakery, the best bagels and baked cheese cake, the queues there are long to get in that bagel bakery but well work it. My husband had a salt beef and gerkin bagel and I had smoked salmon and cream cheese, the best ever! You seemed to get a good tour around the markets though, amazing how you could share commonality with the stall owners when it came to where they're from. I saw your Brixton trip video too...no'one didn't advise you to try Negril's restuarant, you would have enjoyed that. Great videos, always enjoy watching them!!!
David. I’m watching and this food market looks insane. Have to go there numerous times to sample everything. Risotto is my fav. I’m watching and hoping there’s a dessert station or you go to a bakery. When I went in 75 at 10 years of age; I found the pastries awful. They looked amazing but were not sweet. At least the ones my cousins gave me. Think my palate has changed and I would appreciate now. Watching and enjoying. You know I’ll come back and edit if need be 😂. Have a great weekend 🤗
It’s only been a place for the public since just before 2000. Pre 2000 it was only a wholesale market. I used to work in pwc at London Bridge in the 90s and if you walked through the market during lunchtime, the stalls were already locked up as it was only opened at night into early morning. TBH, any items you buy to cook at home are overpriced. Food consumed in the market isn’t bad but is overpriced, but that is London for you.
Chicken Tikka wasn't born in the UK, but it's said that Chicken Tikka Masala likely was, and was born from a desire for us Brits to have Chicken Tikka in some kind of sauce.
Whilst an ok stop for a quick visit. This is a tourist spot that isn’t particularly popular with actual Londoners. Bao restaurant is very good though, and the pubs are ok later in the day when everyone has gone away.
@@kooliecurlz93 Yeh,Total madness, ive walked through Borough market over hundred times but never brought anything from there,id rather go Bermondsey and get a Chips and Pie for 6 quid...Bless
@@nicklindsey3872 When I started travelling I was completely broke and I was just trying to figure out some way to make it happen. Its easy for me to sit here and write this comment because I have no idea the challenges you are facing, but at the end of the day, I just wanted to just see the world and talk to people just like you Nick! Maybe I'll try to do a video about this and explain more, because I wouldn't be able to write all my thoughts in a RU-vid comment here. Stay tuned Nick, wishing you peace and blessings and hope you do get to take that trip someday.
Question: how is your tummy/bowels re: eating so many different flavors/spices/seasonings/sauces /sweet/savory etc? I would be in the bathroom if you know what I mean. 💩😂. Curious how your GI handles it all in one day? This is an ultimate buffet.
LOL, a good question but I stay very healthy and so in general its good. Ask Producer Nate, even he'll say that I've just got one of those more iron stomachs, and I think due to all the places I've eaten. 🤣
@@Davidsbeenhere Good boy :) Many influencers not only take freebies but also waste hardworking businesses time. It’s good you market their businesses in your videos
