Wonder why this game is so dead?, there’s games somewhat similar to this which are way worst, which get way more players?, I just found about this game yesterday, I saw it in my RU-vid recommendations. Now I’m like addicted watching these videos lol, I might buy the game.
You can't win a battle on the defensive. Alpha bunkered VERY well but they never tried to bite back. You can't defend forever: an attack is easier than a response and they only have to break you once. Bravo poked every hole, and inevitable Alpha was unable to fill it. What was yellow doing with those carriers? He had them way too close way too much. Also as much as I like the tank idea, he forgot to mix in units to actually hold the ground they take. You don't need many, just a small trickle of arty on are reserved defensive line. Had blue pushed that last attack he would have broken through easily.
I think bravo did great with defence but lacked creativity in attack, they only tried via the chock point which is definitionally difficult lol Bravo didn't need to defend much of anything really just good coverage with air and nukes. I don't think the tanks were to take ground really just clear the chock point, it was offence but defensively, I guess lol mostly because of lack of production tbh.
@@JonJoeLineWar clearing the choke didn't really do much when there wss nothing to fill in. Just a small trickle of arty would be enough to make alpha hesitate on their attacks and/or sit in nuke range trying to break through. Nickname was the MVP tho. Immediately identified what kinda game this was gonna be and started doing flanks right from the outset I think the decision to not make air is what really hurt alpha the most, though. It's what prevented them from making counterattacks, even if they wanted to, and they really needed something to contest that southern carrier fleet.
I'm not super familiar with the game's mechanics, so this could be completely misinformed but is defense not a valid strategy for wearing your opponent down? If he's constantly attacking and failing to break through, does that not mean the attacker is suffering significantly more losses? If he is, than the defender is obviously gaining more than he is loosing.
@@captainuseless2120 i cant remember specifically this battle itself atm. but generally your right, defending does help keep your units alive longer and you can take better trades when battling. but there are a few consequences, building the defend takes time and either Health or energy (if the unit doesn't require energy normally then it uses health.) so building a defence that will be hit instantly is not usually a good idea as you'll be hit while building and be losing hp doing so. when a defence is built if the enemy finds a weakness to attack you may need to rebuild a defence better which costs hp again same if you need to advance. also 1 down side to larger defences is if the enemy charges into one section and breaks through units on a black line wont move to attack where as orange ones they will and can cover gaps... and units moving towards black lines will move rather than attack so artys are more vulnerable as they wont deploy until enemy blocks path or in the defence spot. just to be clear though, defence is great and can be extremely difficult to defeat a good defence. and even when doing good it can be nuked. but will certainly take better trades when an opponent egages with it when done right :)
@@captainuseless2120 just like jobjon said, you are right. A good defense takes cost efficient trades. But you have to turn those extra numbers into effective attacks. It only takes one good breakthrough to ruin what was a good defense, and even if you're significantly better your enemy STILL only has to get lucky once (which alpha was not, they're facing one of the best players in the game)
once those commandos took out the city, I noticed a drop in units from alpha. Alpha's strong nuclear foothold in the beginning could have been a gamechanger, but the cost to reward was massively in favor of Bravo for most rocket launches. The economy really was the determinant of the match.
It seems strange at first but when youre used to it then its more easier. Try vs AI at first and make it as easy as possible, if f you win the make it slightly harder until you're winning at x1 for both. Otherwise theres sandbox where you can just get used to the controls :)
