The all-new 2025 Toyota Crown Signia is easily the best looking SUV to ever debut from Toyota... in fact, it's more of a "sport wagon" than SUV. Styling aside, how is the quality, performance, and practicality of the new Crown Signia? Watch David's video to find out all that and more in his latest full review about the latest Toyota Crown Signia.

David, This is the return of the Toyota wagon so many of us have been waiting to see. 🥳🥳🥳🥳As an engineer, you must be intrigued by the 'innovative' rear seat extenders. To many of us, a classic 40/20/40 second row with an ability to slide and recline would be more useful to buyers looking to carry passengers in comfort. As well, long cargo like FISHING rods and skis would have been accommodated more easily. 🤔🤔 What a pity we CANADIANS can't buy the cheaper Signia XLE on its smoother 19" rims. 😭😭 As an aside, where does the ubiquitous Crown taxi we see in the background of your Japanese videos fit in the illustrious Crown hierarchy? 😉😉

The closest thing of having a Toyota wagon we have in US is the Highlander. If they dropped the ride height and chopped the roof a bit it would totally be it.
@ohcanadaeh

Yes, I see a lot of common of welcoming wagon back into the Toyota lineup but the question is will it sell. Historically station wagon does not sell well in North America. Look at the raised station wagon from Audi and Volvo. They are not volume sellers. The only exception is the Subaru Outback. The newer Mazda CX50 design is closer to a raised station wagon more than a SUV and it is yet to sell as well as the Mazda CX5. I do not think the Signia will sell well. The reason why Toyota is pulling the Venza from North American market is because it is cannibalizing the sales of the Lexus NX. Venza, a mid size SUV, competes well with the NX by offering all the luxury features like a Lexus at a lower price than the NX (a compact SUV)

Good video, David. And thank you. I agree, if "Crown" (also called "Corona" and "Cressida" here in the past) is truly the most upscale Toyota product you can buy without going to Lexus, then it needs that Crown emblem, not the linked hoops badge. I wish they'd bring that Crown sedan here, but as the next Lexus ES 350! 🐰

Definitely more legroom and it’s wider too. But the headlights look experimental. I will get to test drive it in a couple weeks and it fits us perfectly. Why move the headlights to the bumper. This is a major difference from any car I have ever driven. Advantage could be that a won’t blind the car ahead of me. I will test drive it after dark

Crown nameplate is meaningless IMO. This is an elevated Toyota period, just like the 21-24 Venza tried to be. So Toyota discontinues the Avalon and renames it Crown thinking Americans will spend more money and buy into the Crown heritage. Crown is meaningless to me. This isn’t close to a Japanese Crown and btw, Toyota (not Crown) is pricing it like something special. It’s not, it’s just an overpriced Toyota and this comes from someone who fell for the hype and purchased a 21 Venza Limited which at $44,000, is 6-8 thousand less expensive than this thing. No HUD, no power assist for the steering wheel, no opening sunroof, no 4-way lumbar support for the driver, no Turbo max engine option at over $51,000? I’m glad Toyota Included leather instead of the imitation crap and improved the interior and infotainment over the Venza. Toyota quality, my rear hatch struts just went at 31,000 miles and 3 years. It’s a known problem for Toyota. $1000.00 to replace both struts. Hopefully the “Crown” is using better parts! Thankfully I have an extended warranty.
