NOTES - These combos focus on creating more interruptions for your opponent to deal with, 5 is a good number to aim for but at minimum you want 4 (Combo 1) and then handtraps will also serve as additional interruptions. - Combo 4 is the most optimal endboard possible but that doesnt mean you should aim for it, firstly, one well timed Nibiru will end all your hard work and secondly its highly unlikely for your oppoenent to sit through the entire combo. (Scoop it up) - Firewall support definitely makes the deck more fun but for results the real power cards are Link Decoder, Desavewurm and Protectcode - They provide easier link climbing, more interruptions and more protection. - IF you have what you would consider enough handtraps in hand already, you should end with Terahertz and Protect code becuase even if Protectcode is Kaiju'd or tributed in some way, it can (quick effect) re-summon itself.

Been looking for a video like that that's more than just replays and actually has explanations! This is my first Link deck so I struggle with deciding if I want to XYZ or if I want to bring out Update Jammer for Accesscode or bring out the Firewalls, etc.

My man l'mao, you will hate me now for the amount of questions i have lol, but here it goes: I saw some people playing knightmare corruptor iblee. Apparently you necessarily need to summon firewall dragon first, which might be disappointing for those who doesnt want to use this card like me. Do you recommend it? Don't you think its better to end your board with protectcode instead of transcode? This card can protect both singularity and terahertz, while transcode will only be able to protect one single card that is pointing to, isn't that right? What do you think about arrival ciberse ignister? I think this card is pretty strong tbh, its almost like an unaffected baronne. I didn't have time yet to reflect if worth it, but i wan't to know your opinion I probably forgot something, but for now i think it's ok 😅
Yoo Kirk, no such thing as too many questions man, always here to help where I can! Iblee is really good tbh for securing your plays as it blocks nibirj and imperm but in terms of bricking if you open with Iblee and another normal summon monster, when we already have brick cards in hand like nabla and multiplication + firewall guardian and phantom if you play them, Iblee can create too much risk but it’s not always the case. I agree with you that starting with protect Code is the play, make sure you have transcode in GY in case they kaiju the protect code so you can re-summon it! + heatsoul may not be in the extra deck for me anymore but still to be decided😅 I hope this answers enough for you if not I can go into more detail👊🏽 Lastly for arrival, amazing card but so hard to choose what to swap out in the extra deck but I will definitely consider it now that you’ve mentioned it because having our own towers monster in this current format may just be our best play. I think that if we have enough materials to make a huge board, we can search for conflict instead of codec. Notice that i'm considering going first perspective. And thanks for the reply man! @@kirk1567 never a problem man!👊🏽 If your opponent does not have ash or has used ash I would go for codec because I would assume they ashed either alembertian or circular to which you would need to secure superfactorial as a priority and then use codec to obtain the rest of the materials. However this is complelty optional AND depends on what end board you want as well as your starting hand, for example if I have circular and microcoder in hand, provided there are no disruptions from my opponent I will just make Tera hertz with protectcode alongside superfactorial and cynet conflict without needing codec, codec is there for when your opponent has stopped you from getting the mathmech line confirmed and then from there you can secure the codetalker support line as well!
No V-link, Iblee shenanigans? When I ran Codetalkers in MasterDuel, getting the U-Link was my go to. Got me to Platinum (before Diamond and Master rank were a thing).
V link is definitely the strongest strategy for the Cyberse archetpye but im just not a fan of that style of play, still respect how cool it is but playing it isnt very entertaining to me! Happy to create a video on it to inform those who are though :)
Just to avoid confusion, this is technically "codetalker mathmech". Regular mathmech doesn't run codec, the other cyberse monsters, and certain links. The goals with the two decks are a bit different. Codetalker has a number of different versions, and they do use a mathmech package but depending on the version, it can serve different purposes. Codetalker versions have alot of flexibility. But anyway just pointing out the deck in the video isn't just regular mathmech.
Just changed my comment because I didn’t want it to come off as snarky or rude! Yeah I hear what youre saying, the ‘pure’ mathmech end goal Is different but You have to bear in mind mathmech's end purpose is too simple and doesn’t consider cards negating superfactorial via DD Crow, bystials and ghost belle which atm has been high for me. The codetalker support is just to protect that superfactorial and if I don’t need to use it, thats an added bonus! For cynet codec, you don’t need it but I certainly enjoy having a back up plan to secure my mathmech plays, hence why it’s called support, so in my eyes it’s still mathmech but with support from codetalker and now firewall too!👊🏽
@@Le_Mao_ I'm not arguing the benefits of running a codetalker package. I play it myself. Just pointing out that mathmech and mathmech codetalker are different decks with different purposes.
I think you make a fair point, this isn’t pure mathmech for sure, maybe in the future I’ll rebrand the channel to be based on mathmech, firewall and codetalker, I think it’s just easier to say mathmech cos the others are naturally a support to this deck
I think your audio is a little quiet, just for reference for future videos. Serious question, what does Heatsoul do for you now? Yeah the draws are nice but that's literally it. You can always get to Terahertz now with the new support right? And the extra deck is tight so idk. Dude I'm seeing so many ways to build Math/Firewall/Code Talkers and they all look fun.
Thanks for letting me know man👊🏽I reduced the volume in case I was too loud but I see it’s done the opposite, i can re-upload the video if you feel it’s unbearable just lmk, I don’t care about view count just that video is good and well received. Yeah I hear you, heatsoul is not the one for me anymore, if I feel like I wanna gamble to get a potential hand trap I will go for heatsoul but most times I now go for protectcode because my opponent will always choose to out the coderalker first and then as a quick effect I just resummon him by banishing either transcode talker or linguriboh + splash mage(depends on how I link climbed on my first turn). It used to be 3 cards needed to get to terahertz but now you only need to start with 2 - make splash mage , re summon a monster, make link decoder and then make transcode talker and you will have 3 materials for terahertz
Heatsoul is optional but not essential, I prefer to have protectcode on the field with transcode in the GY so that if they try to out my codetalker monster to kill cynet conflict I can keep it live by resummoning protectcode from its own effect, I have a replay of this that I will share soon showcasing this
@@Le_Mao_ In solo mode I was practicing (literally only bought this deck last week lol) and with Defenser plus an extender or Circular plus an extender I can get Transcode, Singularity, and Terahertz as an endboard along with Superfactorial set. My extender in hand one round was Gachiri so I used that to make Transcode a pseudotower. I actually didn't pay attention to Singularity's bounce - you know it's on the field OR the GY? Seems pretty dope vs Lab or Purrely. I'm only Diamond 4. Diamond 2 last season. So you're playing way better opponents than I am but it's a thought.

Your idea is very good tbh, haven’t used Gatchiri in a while but may sub him back in soon, your endboard is strong too, for me I like cynet conflict just for the sheer fact that counter traps are difficult to tackle and my opponent would require red reboot to stop it so I’ll need to think this over but nice job bro, you’ll hit master in no time!! Hey can I just randomly ask something? Expurrely noir‘s card text says it is unaffected by your opponents activated effects. Is there a difference between this effect and „uneffected by cards effect“? Because sometimes my opponent is able to banish noir with card effects. Help would be very nice
YO! Of course, always happy to help, so firstly, cards unaffected by activated effects cannot have effects applied to the card directly but indirect effects that do not need to be activated like Destiny Phoenix Enforcer (Decreasing the attack of your opponents monsters by the number of Hero monsters in the GY x200) will still effect monsters ‘unaffected by activated effects’ because it’s not an activated effect. For Expurrely noir it can be banished in a number of ways, 1. evenly matched is an effect on the player so the player would have to banish their own cards bypassing the ‘unaffected’ title. Eater of millions is another non activated effect that would banish expurrely noir at the start of the battle phase(face down). If expurrely noir has less that 5 materials attached to it, it is no longer unaffected by activates effects it is just a regular card, however if the field spell is in place the noir was summoned that turn, it cannot be targeted by card effects. For monsters that are ‘unaffected by card effects’ neither player that apply indirect or direct effects to that card, as an example mathmech final sigma is only effected by mathmech cards effects, if we were to try to use forbidden chalice on our own final sigma it would do nothing. I know I’ve knowledge dumped here so please let me know if I need to explain anything better as it’s difficult to express in text :)

@@Le_Mao_ yeah so picture you have firewall dragon has spell and trap negate and face up field negate and another firewall dragon that bounce cards and they ibee they can’t spiecal summon with Ava max and invalid dorlman that make your opponent can’t attack and it’s unaffected by monster affect then you have mathmech trap that give me omi negate and hand loop and send cards from there field to grave and another omi negate trade so incase they have evenly match or cards to try get rid of your cards or so!!!

You’re definitely correct that is a good combo! given the limited space in the extra deck these are the combos I like to prioritise as it follows more mathmech dependence rather than the V lock strategy :)
only thing to really stop V lock in its tracks is Nibiru and droll, feels so bad when you see all your link summons turn into a token but it is deifinitely the strongest strat if uniterrupted
