We would like a video about the best made machines. The ones made of metal parts that would require the least maintenance and the ones that are easiest to find parts for are the machines most desirable.
I always love your videos. You are a great presenter of the functions and qualities of each machine. You obviously do your homework in learning the machines' capabilities.
If you had lowered the IDT foot and lines up the stripes in the knit fabric, the stripes are easily fed thru so that they match. It’s also fabulous for quilt piecing, and sewing on the borders so they are not distorted.
I have this Pfaff machine and love it. I have a computerized Bernina but keep it set up for embroidery. The Pfaff is a workhorse that I would rather sew on. Mine did not come with a hard case and I had to special order the machine itself since it is not kept in stock at the Pfaff dealer closest to me. Thanks for the review!
Can I ask a question? I make historical mens suits so I am working with heavy wool cloth. I have a 1960's metal straight stitch Singer which is brilliant BUT I do get "creep" of the top cloth over the bottom cloth which is a problem. I also have a modern plastic Singer for button holes and it is utterly useless. Do you think this machine would replace both of these?? My straight stitching has to be millimeters perfect, so I worry about modern machines having the strength.
I love mine to for sewing I don’t like doing embroidery because it’s so loud! I use the bernina deco 340 and my elna same machine made by janome. Love my pfaff for reg sewing
@@piccalillipit9211 honestly, I would stick with your vintage Singer straight torch and get a walking foot for it so no shifting occurs between the top and bottom layers. In my opinion, those Singers have the prettiest straight stitch ever.
@@cookecreeksheep OH thanks for the reply. I have actually solved the problem. It was my presser foot, it was not manufactured correctly, the slot for the screw was about 1/8th / 3mm higher than it should be so this was increasing the presser foot pressure considerably.

@@cleanqueen75 hii this is the exact machine I'm contemplating on buying I just have some question you can Kindle answer for me.... does it use regular sewing needles like the singer sewing needles?? Does it use regular domestic machine feet ? Does it have a zipper foot or use a regular machine zipper foor? And can it sew really slow like when I want to do details work?? Okay that's it:)))
@@sophiesamuels7196 it uses regular sewing machine needles. The feet screw on. No zipper foot and it doesn’t have adjustable speed. It just does basic straight stitching. The model 2010Q has the variable speed control for about $300 more. I bought mine from Juki Junkies.

I think all machines should have a single-hole plate so the fabric is not pulled down into the machine. That should be standard on all machines with different plates covering the bobbin.

I got this question and I hope someone can provide me answer. Are there manual sewing machine that runs using electricity? Are there manual sewing machine that operates with push button or control pedal? Or manual Sewing machine is not powered by electricity at all.
All the sewing machines we sell run on electricity, sadly there isn't a mechanical machine that has the option of a push button or control pedal. The closest we have is the Brother Innov-is 15: www.thesewingstudio.co.uk/products/brother-innov-is-15-sewing-machine
