That’s what I have found over the years to work the best. Keeps the seed in place and evenly spread and still gets that important seed to soil contact

Again, from my experience rolling seems to always worked better. Mixed opinions on straw…does help hold moisture but have found it blows around in high winds. Glad I could help…be sure to spread some good starter fertilizer as well.
