My friend, you are very good source of knowing what is the best for us to own a RC helicopter, very clear and honest explanation, keep it up ! God Bless.
basically means the rotor blades move/change pitch. the rotor blades not only spin, but move to change the pitch. FP (Fixed Pitch) helicopters have rotors that are stuck in one place, they only spin. FP helis can only fly normal, CP heli's can fly upside down.
done... except for the pets(I started this Earthling1984 channel with pets, then added RC). I am going to keep Earthling1984 as RC & Pets... and some electronics reviews and car/jeep videos, and put my cooking and other videos on other channels. I made two new channels yesterday and today. One for cooking, and one for news and topics I discuss.
keep practicing. the actual movements of your fingers will be very similar to the simulator; however, all helicopters and even the same helicopter, can fly different based on the transmitter settings. So the feel of the transmitter movements may not be exact in terms of how far you move = this much tip in heli, and so on. But the way everything works is the same. It will take some time for the muscles to learn the movement, but you will get it!
The recommended flight time is 4 minutes on the MCPX BL. You can push it another 30 seconds or so, but since the battery for this heli is $16 a pop, I bought a few extra and just switch them out at the 4 minute mark.
That is a matter of opinion. The 130X is larger, and more prone to damage. The repair costs are higher, and harder to do. However, as far as flyability, I would say that yes, the 130x flies the best because of the link between main rotor, and tail.
The Blade MSR is a Micro Single Rotor heli, with FIXED PITCH blades = FP earthling mentioned the Blade SR, which is a single rotor heli that has Collective Pitch blades = CP
Actually almost all electric helicopters have about the same(even the big ones). Anywhere from 5 to 10minutes max per charge. I usually fly 5 minutes then land(better to be safe than sorry and run out of power in the air)! Having a couple extra batteries means you will have plenty of flight time.
The Nano CP X is my first CP. I've actually been doing a video series on my channel about learning CP flight with it. It can definitely take a beating!
have you flown a FP helicopter like the blade mSR / mSRx / 120SR or other FP heli before trying a CP heli like the blade SR? Best to start with coaxial (or simultor) to get the idea of how helicopters fly and the controls, then go to a FP heli in real life (and sim), then go to a CP heli in real life (and sim).
Yeah, I agree, I usually fly all my micros on about a 4 minute timer. Some on 5 minute but that is mostly for the planes. For the helis 4mins is best. Stock batteries are expensive, but they are also good. You can get aftermarket/chinese batteries for less - some have worked great, some were junk.
Could you do a video showing all your planes and comparing their flight characteristics? I know you have all the reviews, however I would really like to hear your opinion comparing them to each other. Thanks
Well it depends. Of course the mcpx bl has more power, and some other upgrades. So it really is 'better', but it is also more expensive. If you are just getting your first CP heli, the mcpx may be better, because it costs less, and has less power(so less damage in a crash). It is great for learning CP on and doing some inverted hovers and 3D beginning learning. The bl version, with more power, is able to do more 3D stunts; however, it costs more, and will damage easier due to more power.
I would probably say go with the nano cp or mcpx. They have less power which is less intimidating for someone new to CP helis, yet they are still capable and really good for leaning to hover and fly inverted in all orientations. With less power also means less damage, because the rotor head is spinning slower, less damage should happen in a crash than in the BL version. Go for a BL version once you have mastered inverted hovering and some stunts.
awesome video man i think i might be going with the mcp x bl over the 130x im afraid if i crash im always gonna be braking parts but with the mcpx bl i think it will be alot less costly! keep up the vids
XK-K110 for about $100 from Motion RC... Great radio, inexpensive parts, and quite durable. Stock up on the horizontal shaft, main shaft, main blades, landing gear, and main gear - if you are a beginner.
It is my favorite right now, but I did just get the mCPX BL edition so I'll have to fly that more and see. But if I was just learning, the 130x and BL edition of the mCPx may have been too much for me. More power = more responsibility, and I think it is easier for beginners to CP to learn on heli's that fly well, but aren't super powerful and scary.
i enjoy the mcpx the most, also a walkera v400d02 or master cp are good but require a lot of mods to fly well. the mcpx works the best for me on a softball diamond size area. the nano is for smaller areas, like a back yard.
Hey earthling1984, when will u be putting out the in depth review/flight video for the new blade mcpx bl ? Thanks and in that video can i suggest to do a little section at the end of the video talking about the differences between the mcpx v2 "vs" the new mcpx bl including doing a comparative flight test and weing out the pros and cons regarding bowth cp helis factoring in that the bl version is practically double the price...? Thanks
Seems you've had better luck with the 130X than most. I hear a lot of complaints about it, and that you need to do some fixes/upgrades right out of the box to really make it fly right/well.
I'd take all of them! They are the best for me! xD Jk, but I think the first two are good for me because I'm not that experienced with CP Heli's yet. I'm more of an RC car guy xD But I love any kind of RC :) Great video! :D I wanna see if I can buy one of the two Heli's :)
i know this is a year ago but ofcourse people still buy these. but my nano cost me 300$ just so it wouldn't break. 130x is a money pit BUT with upgrades its good! but the walkera v120d02s is also a good choice for beginners or 2nd helicopter, because it is designed and beefed up version of the 4g6.
I am a beginner, can do pretty good on simulater on a blade sr. I have purchased one. And it's nothing like the simulator. I know I can't do stunt flying yet, but I was hoping I could at least learn how to hover and do simple maneuvers like figure 8 and landing practices. What is your thoughts?
hey, so i'm kind of new to the non RTF version of helis and I really like my blade mSR x. I was looking at maybe buying the mCP X BL. I wasn't really sure though as far as Rx & Tx. I dont currently have one but was wondering if u could suggest which Tx to go with and if I need a Rx to put in the mCP x. I'be been into ground RC for a while, time to take to the air :)
Hello friend. I have had all those blades, they are all wonderful, nano motor burns quick but it's awesome, the 130x is the king of the hill I think, but the mCPX BL is very difficult to fly it has too much power for the size. You touch collective a bit and It jumps up just too fast. I'll define it as violent. I feel better with 130x but I had too many tail issues and tail servo in my case got damaged too much specially on dry and dusty seasons. Do you agree?
I moving on from a mSRX, as for outdoor flight, I've mastered it. I want to do 3d now and I'm tired of breaking tail booms. I really think the 130x is the most durable out of these 4 blade helis. What do you think I should do? I don't want something that limited to 3d like the brushed mcpx and nano cpx
Man i can totally appreciate you for helping out on that subject ,I get that whats next? syndrome. And that really helped. I have noticed several people in my experience have gone with the E flight line up over most other brands as they progress, much like you showed us. Is there an easy way to say why E flight is chosen over others?
One of the main reasons is that most all serious hobby shops carry Eflite/Blade/other Horizon Hobby brands' items and replacement parts. In addition, their entry level stuff is usually pretty solid. If you break one of the clones or most of the other brands, you'll probably have to bench the Heli while you wait for your replacement parts to get shipped to you. I pretty much just started out flying Helis and I started on a Nano CPX. Needless to say, I crashed it a bit, but the Nano CPX is still running great and you can hardly tell that I've even crashed it. I actually just purchased a mCPX BL, since I found a place that you can get them for very cheap right now, and I'm sure that will be fantastic as well. I probably won't fly it much until I'm nearly at my limit on the nCPX or if I somehow manage to break the nCPX, but I couldn't pass up the price.
Pharaoh that's cool, my local shop wanted about $400 + for a beginer sort of heli and yeah it was ablade MCPX BL im pretty sure, came with aDEVO 10 I think. it blew me away, i was shocked to see the price of that little tiny heli and it turned me away & straight to online helis and parts, im testing myself slowly and doing it on the cheap tooo like i just got a MJX F48B today and i wait for the TX to come in a day or so.cheap because i get wild and fast out there and i dont fly in the best spots ..so theres damage when i crash, but getting a SIM should change all that.
Just saying because i have flown the kyosho caliber30, trex 500 , blade 400,trex 250, nigth ranger 3d and the last two helis are very prone to wind gusts! And more difficult to fly than the 500 and stay in wiew! The Caliber30 is nitro and therefore cant compate stability an flight characteristics.
I know this old but I still fly the shit out of thos cpx ..if you ask me ..they haven't made a better small one since..and Ive gone through 3 boards..and the boards are getting harder to find..usetoo know a place that repaired them..oh and 3rd motor in 7 years of flying every day
@@earthling1984 I never had the first mcpx...but I did order a mcpxbl..got to get it up in the air still ..does it take the same battery as the bl2..because I have 3 bl2 one is all decked out with microheli..the otherr two I use as practice helis..love that more than a sim..
I have been flying a Mcpx the main board has fried and I am considering Mcpx Bl is it going to be too difficult. I can fly and mcpx just fine I can't flip it in real life. I can flip it on the simulator. will the mcpx BL a good choice for me to learn how to flip thanks and do u own all of those helicopters. thanks for your time
try ro protect the corner of the main board. i crashed mine and fell slightly side ways and dented it enough to break the part where the signal wire is conected other than that its ok
Could i fly all the blade helis especially the extreme 130x and mcpx bl and get everything i want out of them on my DX6i or should i get a higher end radio like the DX7s or DX8, or can i do it all on my DX6i?
I like your helicopter videos but I don't like others kind of video that you do like on animals and food. Why don't you put them on a different channel? Thanks
130x good power and great tail... Are you drunk?!?!?! You will spend more time chasing problems with that piece of junk than flying it! Nano... Great but you didn't mention how it burns motors. 60 flights and you need a new one! That is what you recommend?!
sam3d Well... it's really simple. Learn from my mistake and don't buy that crap. Buy the 180 instead. If you already bought it there are upgrades on the market for it but the amount of money you have to invest in this bird is revolting. Try selling it and go for the 180. It's way better in every respect. I don't understand why do you think I have to come up with solutions if I point out problems with a product?! In my opinion that's Blade's job. Or you are one of those people thinking you should be perfectly in balance and impartial? How would you be impartial regarding a piece of crap? How does this RU-vid "review" help you in any way by not pointing out any problems at all and telling you it's OK to spend your cash on this very poor quality heli? Earthling1984 wants Horizon Hobbies or the local hobby shop to be happy with his commercial (because this is not a review) and maybe throw him a bone in the form of some discount or free stuff or money etc. So him I understand. It is normal in this business and sadly somewhat acceptable. But you? I don't understand why as a potential buyer you would benefit from a review that being perfectly balanced or completely positive doesn't help you at all to make a decision or worse, induces you to buy crap.
hello, long answer to a short questions imo. but thanks for the feedback. this is one of those rare situations where you are neither wrong or right. but your opinion is repected.
sam3d This video was in 2013. Not many new good stuffs came out at that time. Well, for some nano helis (100 size) that're just too awesome, I'd suggest the newest, dual brushless Hisky HCP100S. And, for those around 130 sizes which're great, I'd suggest the flybarless-tail-driven shaft V120DO2S (Green) by Walkera. Check these out guys!
