I’ve just discovered your channel. Great reviews. You’re a natural and your reviews feel so authentic and engaging. I’ll def be checking back in for more. My reading has dropped off a bit recently but you’ve inspired me to get back into it.
I read precisely one middle grade book this year, Abeni's Song by P. Djèlí Clark. It was a bit of an accident, as he's a favourite author of mine (of adult fantasy books), so I click quickly when I see he's got anything new out and I didn't even register that it was middle grade until *after* I had it. But... I liked it so much! I would buy it for a younger reader in my life for sure.
Yeah! Middle Grade recs! thank you for some wonderful suggestions :). I love how you review books!! some of my faves this year were not written this year like Merci Suarez Changes Gear and The Extremely Inconvenient Adventures of Bronte Mettlestone.
I love devouring, thinking about middle grade/preteen books. In terms of fantasy, I think the age group that I am most fascinated with would be middle grade/preteen. There's just something pure about them. I discovered Ash Harrier, Samera Kamaleddine. This video is sooo helpful! I already have Alasdair Beckett-King's book in my Goodreads to-read list. 📝 So far the middle grade series that I like are Moymoy Lulumboy series by Segundo D. Matias Jr. and the Pandava/Aru Shah series by Roshani Chokshi.
I've been in a middle-grade vibe this year, reading them on my own and with my 10 year old daughter, I think both of us would enjoy The Deadly Daylight!
Anybody recommending a ton of Middle Grade that I haven't even heard of I will immediately subscribe! I am gearing up for Middle Grade March and wanted to see if you wanted to participate in a collab video I put together every year for MGM. Do you have an Instagram or email where I could send you a message?
