I had an r3 in 2015 when they first came out and I did this r6 throttle mod + lowered handles. It’s a good bike, it just comes very simple from the factory and it’s tempting to do lots of little mods.

did this mod to my track sv650 years ago, is very popular mod for the sv650. for my 1st gen sv650 is plug and play. I do not recommend this mod if you are a beginner rider until you master or get better at throttle control, that is why Yamaha made the travel of the throttle so long. is great for a more seasoned rider. also depending on the bike you doing the mod to the throttle tube is black or white, the white throttle tube from the r6 did not fit my sv650 was only the black one

Does it matter what year the r6 throttle tube come off of i figure their all the same but just wondering if a older model r6 throttle tube will work for a 2017 r3
