@@carlreyes5344 they allowed it because they fucked up. It’s the organizations fault that the racers fell by allowing that many cars and motorbikes with that much public
5:38 Chris Froome running up the hill in the Yellow Jersey definitely goes down in Cycling History. He could've have been annoyed, argue or debate with the crowd or the biker, but he ran up the hill. A real sportsman.
Yeah, however, it was dubious to give Froome and Porte the same time as Mollema, who immediately got on his bike and went full gas to the finish line, because they most likely wouldn’t have done it for any other cyclist (except, of course, for the French cyclists, because it has happened on numerous occasions that French cyclists have been favoured miles above others)
@@Tim-K. it's in the rules, I think The 10 or something km. rule, "any cyclist in a crash, or anyone directly affected by it will have the same time as the group they were in when the crash happened" not entirely sure but that's about it😅
Haban Jamel No that’s the “3 kilometers rule” and I’m not sure if that rule is only for flat and hilly stages or also for mountain finish stages, as for the last they most likely won’t finish the last 3 kilometers in a big group
@Yarne Roosen If I recall correctly the reason was, because it was a spectator who made the motorbike stop. But it wouldn't have mattered too much, since he won with 4 minutes ahead of 2nd in the end. If you make a 12 minute video about the last 116 Tour de France, those pictures would be in it.
one of the best tours in the recent years, you can't change my mind. Froome running up the hill, the ferocious battles between Cavendish and Sagan for stage wins (and both in yellow at one point :D), Bardet 2nd and Quintana 3rd... truly amazing
Faucheur_ Clan j'aime bien le "vraiment vrai" x) Merci, je partage juste mon enthousiasme devant le cyclisme et ses pratiquants ; pas besoin de haine et de suspicion même si certains ont du mal à faire sans ! ^
It will always be remembered for Froome running to the Mt Ventoux finish but the 2016 TdF was when Richie Porte destroyed two myths: He can't hold it together for three weeks and he can't be as good as he was at Sky. Now he's a TdF Podium finisher. Legend.
whoever edited all the commentators from different languages speaking all over each other when froome was running up that ventoux needs an oscar for best director cause that's EPIC
Merci aux organisateurs du tour de nous avoir fait vivre ce grand départ 2016 dans notre beau département de la Manche. pensées à mon papa qui aurait aimer vivre ce grand moment.
Rafał Majka is my personal hero of the Tour de France 2016. For winning the mountain classification for the second time you will forever be my personal hero
ive watch this many many times. but the part where it gives me goosebumps is when andre greipel sprinting at the end. im new in cycling. been following the sports for about a year now. im glad my brother let me barrow his road bike. and thats where the love of my road bikes started. still i would have loved to see chris froomes prime back then. but im so glad we have records of this.
I'm thirteen and the third best rider for my age group in Colorado! My friends claim cycleing isn't a sport, I want them to see this video to show them that cycleing is indeed a sport
There are millions of people around the world who just like me think that the cycling is the most demanding and most romantic and beautiful sport there is! Don`t worry! Many, many people share your passion for cycling!
Hey, just watched these highlights!! Been missing pro road cycling since Le Tour 2022 got over last weekend. My goodness, what a tour this one was.. Chris Froome, Cavendish, Sagan, Quintana.. all big stars of yester years were amazing!! and what my eyes saw at 03:48 and 05:40 I can't believe it really happened. I was still catching my breath and then Froome starts running uphill.. legendary stuff!! You guys are incredible..
It never ceases to amaze me how the Tour always seems to be able to strike out at least one big favourite in the first week by any kind of road furniture or general stress craziness. Thank God we have a Tour start like the one this year. Let's hope that prevents another one from going home by hay bale takeout.
Nothing annoyed me more than when people booed Froome after him having that crash! Don't know why they booed him at all!!! Also remembering those who died in Niece 💔❤️💞
Je sais pas vous, mais dès que je regarde le Best of j'ai envie de chialer et je me dit "A ouai, le vélo, c'est beau" / I don't know you, but every time I'm looking the Best of I'm crying and i'm saying "yeah, cycling it's beautiful"
