Such beautiful photos. I so appreciate those who capture such fantastic photos to share with all of us. Following EarthSky on RU-vid is one of the best things I've ever stumbled upon. I love looking at the sky, especially at night. I feel a strong kinship with the moon, and I enjoy the nights where I can see it clearly. Catch some of those sweet moon beams 😊 I unfortunately live in a big city, right next to our central business district. Too many lights to see anything significant in the sky at night. I have found places not far from here, where it's darker. That are better for viewing, but I will never really see the full magnificence of the sky without driving at least 200 miles north.

I'm glad we're able to show you so many beautiful pictures. Thank you for your kind words! The EarthSky Community photographers - both professional and amateur - are very gifted. As for light pollution, it's a problem in way too many places. Did you look at earthsky.org/stargazing to possibly find a location closer to you?

I saw it today in Germany at around 10:49 p.m. in conjunction with the beautiful northern lights that were visible to the eye. It was so magical. 🎉❤
