I actually like your reviews better than revzilla because you say it like it is. Revzilla regurgitates technical information but reviews the products like they were made by their best friend who is watching it live. They go really easy on the products and sugar coat the bad stuff. You on the other hand give some actual comparison information and I love that you're perfectly willing to call manufacturers out on their BS. Good job. It's why I watch even your product reviews on products that I don't really need or want.

I have made the same observations of Revzilla on a few of their videos, taking the time to post comments, but they basically keep with their current format. It is SO frustrating that the guys over there say one point 5 different ways in the span of 37 seconds. Seriously... how many times do I need to hear the phrase "as we work our way around this _________". If I want to hear the previous point made a second or twelfth time, I am pretty sure I am fully capable of working this massively complicated technology of rewinding to a particular section, or just replaying the entire video.

Bruh. The way he tried to fit the cellphone in the Alpinestars backpack was utter horseshit just for a laugh. Clearly not giving a great and fair review but FortNine is known more for their comedic reviews more than intelligent ones.

Love the reviews as usual. I went on my own quest to find the best riding backpack last year, and ended up settling on a $40, 15L non-bike model. It's hard not to come to the conclusion that motorcycle backpacks are vastly overpriced and very rarely offer any advantage over the normal ones. As for waterproofing, you can buy high quality, large and thick ziplock bags and use them when needed (which is not that often for most riders). AliExpress has them in all shapes and sizes for less than 1$ a bag.

I bought a venom military grade 40L rucksack. 3 smaller pockets at the front, a medium sized and a large sizes pocket along with a rear external picked for water bladder. When empty it has a system of straps and buckles that are easy to use to compact the bag to make significantly smaller than when full. Perfect for a weekend away at the isle of man TT

Kriega R20 is an old model and it will only be a back pouch. R30 is the newest and techyy one. Modular and safe. Back protection, new 4 point thing, water proofness, build quality is way more beyond... I travelled long with it about 650km long with 6kg s of weight(big laptop and gears) in a misty, foggy and rainy night on a Daytona 675r. After then, R30 is the no:1 backpack in the world to me.

My $60 north face back pack I bough a decade ago for high school has more pockets, 3 zippers, more lash points than any of these packs. The smallest pocket is for my documents, my second zipper has all the little pouches for pens, scissors, and glue work GREAT for tools and fits a pair of gloves. I can fit a 12 pack of cans and two wine bottles for the wife. Even 2 gallons of milk and some other shit. I can go through the drive thru wearing my back on the front and have ONE zipper open to store my food and take off without having to undo 3 clips and 5 zippers to open the main compartment. It even has reflective accents and the laptop partition has a little hook above it that makes it a water bladder pocket too! Be careful when you buy a back pack guys. Like RyanF9 said, when you write "motorcycle" on anything the price sky rockets.

My favourite backpack is the Kriega R30. It has 2 water resistant pockets on the outside and the main compartment is 100% waterproof, And it can hold a 3 liter hydration bladder inside the main compartment but outside the waterproof liner so even if it leaks nothing gets wet. I got no problem having my 15.6" laptop in it plus 3 liter bladder and lots of other gear, Yet it cinches down small when empty. And let's be honest, it's not a motorcycle backpack unless its waterproof. ;)
@axelfolie94
@axelfolie94 5 лет назад
My experience with the no drag has been great. It fits a lot of stuff and even more with the outer zipper undone which increases the volume. However the fixed shape gets problematic whenever you want to carry somenting boxy. And on a side note if you tend to ride at high speeds like eg. the highway you should keep the fanny pack attached. The attachment around the waist really gets necessary to keep it stable. I rode without it and it starts moving all over your body beyond 150 Km/h .

@RCFunEveryday 6 лет назад
I'll stick to my £18 eBay bag. Holds more than all those bags by a long way, clamps round my waist and chest, good solid zippers, about 7 external pockets and I've had it out in the rain without anything inside getting wet. You pay for the name in most instances.

I own a Alpinestars City hunter; a couple of points to highlight. It is pricey as indicated in the video; but it is able to store quite an impressive amount of stuff (computer, documents and the like; not camping gear) and still be very compact. However, the rain shell has a very strange habit of retaining water at the bottom if you're riding in the wet. Basically, the rain that gets repelled by the shell get collected in the bottom of the shell itself. So, be careful what you store in that end of the bag

I agree 100% with you with the Kriega R20 backpack, but i really love it... I bought a "MB Camelback" for my Hydratation need for a fraction of the Kriega price, slide in and I'm good to go, also if you want to keep all your stuff dry inside the R20, you need to buy the R10 "dry pack" The R30 is 100% waterproof but it cost a lot more, Overall I like Kriega products!

giff74 Here in the UK there is only one thing that's important - must be waterproof due to it raining so much! R30 is the only true 100% water proof bag and it stands up to it no problems. Ridding on the motorway in heavy rain with spray coming off cars and lorries (may as well have someone throwing buckets of water at you continuously) and everything stays dry. 6 years of all season use and it's still perfect, will easily do their 10 year warranty period.

Hey Jerome! I actually use my hiking pack for that kind of thing (it's a MEC something-or-other... can't remember). Not meant for motorcycling, but it has a proper hip belt that takes the weight off my shoulders more than most motorcycle bags. I ride an ADV bike with an upright riding stance, so the ergonomics of the bag aren't too far off. For more tucked riders, the Kriega R35 would be a better choice (fortnine.ca/en/kriega-r35-backpack). ~RyanF9

My recommendation is the Oakley Kitchen Sink backpack. I ride wearing the Oakley Mechanism backpack. I fit; gloves, dress pants, undershirt, dress shirt (neatly folded), dress shoes, 14" Mac laptop, a few writing pads, V-MODA crossfade LP2 headphones, small flashlight, extra batteries for the flashlight, a water bottle (or two). On occasion I also carry a 17" brick of a laptop.. for work purposes. I still have room to stuff the zip in hoodie for my riding jacket. My backpack gets very stuffed.. I wish I had bought the Kitchen Sink. The backpack has good padding for your back and it's very water resistant. I haven't thrown it in a lake, so I don't know how waterproof it is, but I have ridden through a couple of heavy showers and regular mist to know the contents won't get wet. There are quite a few pockets on the bag, I never run out of places to cram things. The bag seems to be made out of a cosmic material that absorbs all light, don't rely on it being reflective. After 4 years the padding in the shoulder straps is rubbish, when the backpack is jammed packed it can become a little painful on the shoulders during long rides.

Ik this comment is 3 years late, but I own an ogio mach 3. The strap on the left side ripped apart after a couple months and I never abused it. Other than that it's a great backpack

The 2nd pocket is for your 2nd gun. The first would be on your hip obviously 🇺🇸

I have one major requirement. no zips. every bag I have thrown out it is invariably because the zip broke.Give me drawstring anyday. also. the flap covering drawstring type backpacks tends to be more water resistant
