Thank you Zander, I've been looking for a communications setup for Arai Corsair-X helmet but after watching review after review of bad units I found your recommendation of the Syphon Sound Pro and I'm sold. I just purchased it just now online and can't wait to get it working in my helmet. Great job on the review, new subscriber, looking forward to seeing more material from you, ride safe, take care.
I'm interested in these but I can't find hardly anyone (who hasn't been paid/supplied w or not part of Syphons website) that has reviewed them. What little reviews I can find...are all like these are the best... amazing...then why aren't they sold more places? Why aren't more major channels talking about them?
They did send these to me to review but… everything I said in this video is not over hyped. It’s all true. I also talk about some negative things in this video so I am not biased at all. I tried to keep it honest
@@Zander13Productions Do you also have a Cardo or Sena system? And how did they stack up to those? You said a couple of times, "For the price point" they are right up there. Do they just compare to the others, or are they better? I've got a Cardo, and even with the upgraded JBL speakers, just don't find it super enjoyable. The Cardo/JBL speakers also rest too close to my ears, and start to hurt after a while, even though my helmet has the cut outs for speakers. So frustrating... just want to find something that actually fits well and sounds good!
I’m just looking for Bluetooth speakers for my helmet. Not interested in connecting with anyone or using it as a phone. Just quality sound. I’m not liking earbuds while I ride. They hurt after a while. Any suggestions?
I'm thinking "Wait, where do I know this guy?!" From the Mustang vids! Lol FWIW - I sold my S550 and bought a Kawi z900rs café. Faster and more fun - and much less expensive!
Do you know if they are better then the cardo freecom 4x? And are they better then the 45mm speaker upgrade from cardo? Also have you done a amp upgrade to them?
How long does the music play at higher volume on a full charge ? Where is the battery ? can the battery be removed and replaced with a charged one from the outside ? The reason I use wired and not blue tooth is because on longer rides you always run out of battery and your done . I'm looking for a replaceable lithium battery so when it goes dead you just pop in a new one and away you go . Can you put a charger to the unit and it still play ?
Agree. I said the same in my comment. Discord does what all these systems are trying to do with zero fuss and built in noise cancelling tech as well. Unlimited group size, and unlimited range, you just need good 3g/4g internet which could be a problem in remote areas. Only problem is you cannot really listen to music clearly while discord is going due to bluetooth limitations.
How did you get the speakers to fit without the spacers? I have the same helmet and the wire is flush with the bottom of the speaker and doesn’t sit in the cutout. Using the spacers hurts my ears and makes the helmet hard to get off.
Are there bluetooth intercoms that do not have built-in microphones but just pair two headsets like a Sony WH-1000XM4? Obviously this is not for on a motorcycle, but I'm looking for something I can use on a plane to talk to the person next to me.
Most ideal setup is silicone earbuds & sound system. Basically all the same quality sounds in the helmet from music & bike, with none of the wind noise. You actually hear it better with the earplugs.
Without doing any research cause I'm kinda lazy, let me ask you a few questions 😁 I'd be mainly using these for music and answering cellular calls. More important part is the music tho. Does the music sound good compared to normal pair of premium Bluetooth earphones, like idk take for example any BOSE earphones. Can you hear base and the kick sounds in music? And for the calls, when answering regular phone calls, can people hear you clearly on the other side? And how long can the battery last? Thanks in advance if you get a chance to answer, cheers. 🍻
Quad Lock. I was skeptical but bought it for my KLR. It’s amazing. Not cheap but I’m very happy with it. Also get the vibration mount too or your phone will be trashed.
@@munozadrian81 Cardo or Lexin. I have a cardo pack talk slim and a Lexin G16. I don't like Sena which a lot of people recommend but it's not all that great. The Cardo cost more and is awesome but I use my Lexin G16 the most. They have a sale going on for $120 but I used my buddy's discount code and got it for $93 free shipping. I use these on a Harley at highway speeds and everything works and sounds perfect. You can music share and talk up to 16 other units with the G16. I ultimately would recommend the Lexin G16.
There is no bass in any of these units, or com's, they are a waste of money, I use wired earbuds 20 bucks, never had any issues and they sound amazing 👍👍
A boom mic on this system would be an excellent feature. I would imagine most people can just use Discord on their smart phone and run a mic for communication rather than using the weird bluetooth pairing they make you do on these other sets. I know the mesh networks exist but those systems are like $500.
In my experience, no in helmet speaker can hold a candle to a very simple in ear Bluetooth ear bud. Not only can I get models that are low profile and fit in the helmet perfectly but I can take them from helmet to helmet. in Ear can also act as ear protect and you can hear music clearly with less volume. The 2024 price of $200 is very steep for what amounts to a speaker with some amplification and a wired knob.
Yes, its a great product. Sound quality is superb. Unfortunately the support sucks, as my domio failed within a year as the transducer/woofer glue came off. It is still within warranty but despite it, no response from them. It is indeed sad that such an innovative product failed because domio didnt get their act together. I got mine thru kickstart as I funded it
That company pulled off the biggest scam and seems got away probably to start another co and do the same thing. The Canadian better business bureau did nothing even after receiving so many complaints! New company coming out like this I will sit back and wait for their customer support feed back. If it sounds too good to be true it’s more than likely not true
thanx for this vid.. i was so excited till i went on link and saw the price SMH.. man do they really need to charge that much for 2 mini speakers and a standard bluetooth device.. $99 would be the most id pay.. u can get a whole set up for that price with full 10 rider communcation and ton of other features.. this is just the speakers mainly.. way too over priced like most stuff nowadays.. SMH thanx for awesome vid though my man!!! Kudos
Do you think cardo is more worth it, i was looking at these but i keep seeing a lot of people talking about cardo, i just dont really need a com system just headphones really ?
Two things no one has mentioned in their reviews are 1) at what volume level are you listening to them while riding compared to in your house, just for comparison 2) does the volume go down when you stop at traffic lights, is it blaring in your ears at this point?
I’m not an audio file, but I don’t like shit sounding music. I paid $20 for headphones in my helmet and I paid $200 for headphones in my helmet and I can tell you that the $20 one sounded better. Even though both sounded like headphones that came with your walkman or CD player from the 1980-90s. (yes it sounds like shit!) Unfortunately, the only way to test these things for my preference is to buy and use. Does anybody know if these are actually good and worth the money and time or am I wasting it?
So, it appears you have to use a phone for this helmet sound system. No one explained that in any video I've watched except you. I understand these headsets are Bluetooth, but connected to what? I'd break a phone dirt riding and my phone doesn't play music anyway as I don't pay for any music streaming service. I need an mp3 system. Self-contained mp3 system would be awesome. All in the helmet. Nothing to carry. I can't find any such thing. I bought a cheap little self-contained Bluetooth mp3 player with earbuds. But I hate wearing earbuds and I hate carrying the player in my pocket. The earbuds are uncomfortable and really hard to get the helmet on and off with them. All I want is music!
Maybe try singing. It always works. Want louder music? Sing louder. Change songs? Just sing a different song. No batteries or broken charge cables. You’re welcome.
Nice review but you gotta stop saying Siri. It stops the video or answers the last word you said LOL. So if you could bleep or mute you saying Siri that would be great.
Very impressive 👏, When making a phone call, the person can't hear you? I need to be able to hear and communicate with my other half. I to dig the new shoei rf 1400.... what kind of gopro do you have?
Any idea how these compare to the chips ultra? Seem like a very similar product outside of the wires and control. I don't mind my chips ultra 2.0 but think the control being separate on the syphon would be better than having to press the outside of the speaker while in your helmet to use the b.t. phone controls and to adjust volume skip songs. I only used them for music and had to use the controls through the spotify app. If im riding I don't care about my making calls or texting. They were durable and stayed charged at least 7 or 8 hours and supposedly can go 10-12 hours...never used them that long. Anyway I ran into these and like the idea of the external control and even though the speakers are connected by wires feel like these will be better than the chips in that just one speaker can't fall out in the snow and wet ground to lose. I did later add velcro and had to cut out some of the foam in my helmet out so I didn't hit pause skip or fast forward every time i I'd turn my head.. it wasn't as bad if I didn't have to turn my head very far. I'm hoping these are a hair thinner. I know i can do a better job mounting them and may even have to go a size bigger on my helmet but don't think wearing a helmet that too big is safe. If anybody has used these both I'd appreciate some feed back and to hear your thoughts on the difference between the two. Great video and am looking forward to trying these this winter. Cool channel BTW. Thanks a ton!
Wind and speaker your ears goin to bleed lol. I like how all the cars content creators getting bikes including me , the bike content are better than car content
