The raid 1 and 2 are disgustingly good fight scenes. The fact you put one of the last fight is the best shows that cause when rama fights the 4 people with machetes is clear aswell
What I liked about the raid was when someone took a kick to the head, or got clubbed on the head by a baton, they went down and stayed down. Pretty much like real life.
@@nsmith3128 bay is able to make a good action film, just think 13 hours, but also the director and main man behind the remake is the guy who directed the hitman's bodyguard, not bay
@@IGMH17 Good point. It is fantasy, i just found it funny and if i was in the theater, i would have laughed in there too. But yea, no big deal, just funny.
I love the trope in martial artsy movies of the Asian dudes all knowing fancy martial arts moves and the white guys (if they can fight) just being like "fuck you I'm gonna beat you so hard your mama's gonna feel it" XD
Love that marvel is totally fine with murdering their enemies as seen in Logan. Can’t have a non-lethal mentality when your powers are made to be lethal
@archstanton6102 I get that but I was speaking about Marvel Heroes being much more lenient about killing their enemies compared to DC heroes. Not who owned the rights to the character at the time. Sorry I should have been more clear 😅
The old lady beating up trained men in their prime is ridiculous (Lou, 2022). Too many weird feminist fantasies in Hollywood ... impossible to suspend disbelief seeing impossible scenarios.
I agree on this one mostly due to her age, but I love how "feminist fantasies" are weird, but yet people buy into Adkins and Stratham and all these other idiots taking on 8 men at a time and always winning. Fiction is fiction and all of it is fake, except to the knuckle draggers who think woman can't do anything but the fast and the furious is possible
while most movies are unrealistic, these were not "magical superheroes" so it is just a ridiculous scene, in martial arts movies you know it is unrealistic due to the choreography, but there you are watching more of a dance than a fight. The tension of the fight scene is knowing there is a somewhat even matchup even if they have an unpredictable way to get there. Similar to punisher in the bathroom scene with two girls, you know you are seeing an agenda rather than enjoying the action.
