What an adventure ! Little advice : you should contact the British embassies ahead of you trip so they can assist you or your family if anything happens. My father used to go on all sorts of crazy trips and adventures abroad and that was the best advice we have received. They can be very very helpful.
Hi Kieran, Thought I'd pass on that I bought some lock laces on Amazon recently on impulse and they've proven to be excellent. They may not solve a problem for everyone, but for me - they provide a more comfortable fit over the arch - you cut them to size, so no crazy long laces tucked away - you can adjust the fit by the mm, so if you get it wrong it's a two second fix to loosen, or tighten (plus you could adjust easily with gloves on, or cold hands) - they won't loosen, or come undone and annoy you every day Well worth a look as it would be nice to not have to worry about faffing with your laces whilst carrying all that gear. Not the cheapest, but you can undo the plastic clip and reuse them when you swap your shoes out.
Great to see the Everton shirt Kieran, great pack review. You have sold a few items of kit to me here in this vid. Looking forward to seeing how it goes. COYB!
Hi Michael (Kieran here) what an end to the season that was last season. Nearly killed me. Hopefully brighter things to come for us. UTT! Glad the vid was useful. And hope you enjoy the kit.
Sounds like an amazing trip. Have you considered a good quality bar of soap instead of the small amount of shower gel you’re taking? It will last much, much longer, and probably be a similar size/weight. Best of luck on this, I look forward to watching the update videos!
For less insect bites and annoyance do not use fragrant soaps/deodorants. Something I learnt back when I was infantry. Good luck, sounds like a top adventure ✌🏼… oh and maybe an antiseptic wipe pocket pack 😉
Day 7 - Romanian Mafia mug him cos now they know he's carrying 3 grands worth of kit. They'll leave him the chafing gel though, don't want to touch where that's been.
