History of the Shuffle in 1979 it was invented in Dandenong Victoria Australia. We called it the Disco Shuffle and I love how it has matured. It was originally a mixture of the Charleston and the Mashed Potato check these dances out, Michael Jackson’s moves were incorporated into the two dances mentioned. I am in my sixties and I am impressed with the new moves incorporating almost 80 years of dances. We sent the Victorian champion to the USA she was runner up but was given a six month contract to teach the Disco Shuffle and improve the dance moves. Now it is called the Shuffle. Love the moves it brings back some wonderful memories of my youth.
I just watched a 1920’s Charleston video and immediately thought that’s where the shuffle dance has developed from! It’s so lovely to see how something has evolved, yet still retains the joy & physicality of the original. I love watching people who can dance so well, it feeds my soul.

I actually loved the fashion from Humphrey Bogart era men’s fashion and clothing was sophisticated. We wore the baggy pants clean cut shirt with vests and Jackets along with the fob watch.

I dont remember how long it took me to get good, im not as good as them, but i started in like 5th grade and i was “good” by the end of the year cuz i tried doing it everyday and watched tutorial videos. Theres three main moves, the running man, the t step, and the shuffle. Look those up and you should be good dude
