My husband and I are senior citizens who love living in Downtown Dallas. I have a Jeep and I don't need to pollute the air because I can walk out ride my bike to all stores. 😊
I used to live in far far North Dallas between Carrollton and again Carrollton and Addison and again Carrollton on 4 sides of us. It is a sliver of Dallas and it seems to be Carrollton forgotten like someone just had to label it Dallas. 🤷🏻♀️ I now live in a high-rise apartment on the top floor and I love it. I'm not single. I'm married without kids. My husband works in Downtown Dallas.
WAIT! Did you diss Far North Dallas?? I live Hillcrest, Meandering, Belt Line area. Lovely area, quiet, family area. Bad schools you say?? Richardson ISD is one of the best. Geez! CA snob?
I've lived in the Dallas area for 43 years. Lived in Uptown, Park Cities, Carrollton, DeSoto, and finally for 20 years in the beautiful Lake and Garden District around White Rock Lake---Lakewood, Lochwood, Little Forest Hills. I live in Lochwood. Nice homes, friendly neighbors, lots of trees, close to The Dallas Arboretum, and it's like living in a small town. Close to Casa Linda, White Rock Market Place. When I lived in the suburbs the traffic was a nightmare. Won't make that mistake again. Collin County is getting very congested heavy traffic. Worked in Plano for 20 years and commuted back to Dallas. Horrible.
I'm a lunch lady is the DISD. I work in a very economically depressed area. All our school meals are free. NT Food Bank stops by every few months to give needy families food.
Frisco not only have top-notch schools, but Frisco ISD adopt small schools ( like private school ) policy. Many parents like his or her children to go to small size private schools so that they grew with balance.
