The groom in this video is my nephew. He is a wonderful, caring man. The bride is a wonderful addition to our family. I was at the wedding. It was a beautiful example of how different cultures can share the best of each others'. The bride's family were so wonderful and accommodating to our family. A beautiful day of love I will remember forever. Wish the world could get along like we did that special day.
The zist is similar in any culture, Here couple vow to be together and for eachother by putting sindoor ( red powder in forehead) , pote tilari ( red and green ornament around neck) and take pheras ( around the fire with promises). I am so sorry I couldn't bring good words to explain this . And we also don't believe in divorce though legally we can. It is considered tie for at least 7 lives or reincarnation.
