I was supposed to be seeing them with kreator and lamb of god but obviously lock down postponed the show. The tour was meant to go ahead but I'm not sure if it will now but even if it does I doubt it'll be the same without the main man himself.
I had the fortune to see Power Trip at Hell's Heroes last year. They closed out the festival, taking a crowd that was clearly becoming weary after 7-8 intense hours of metal, and whipping us back up into a full frenzy. More stage dives than I've just about ever seen. Lots of sharing the mic with fans to scream out some lyrics....just pure fucking awesomeness. RIP Riley. :(
Thanks for your kind words about Riley Gale. We've all been feeling it pretty hard. It's places like BangerTV that keep me connected to the metal community and what bands will be the next to inspire me, as well as the metal community at large. Much appreciated!
There's a Scottish band called Hellripper releasing an album next month, they're a blackened speed/thrash band and they take inspiration from motörhead and early Metallica. They're definitely worth a listen if you liked Persekutor and Korgull's music
Dude your statement about the passing of Riley is really touching . Thank you, you’re a great man I love your reviews always fun and you really succeed in transmitting your passion. Keep on being yourself ! 🖤
September and October are always crammed with new releases. Its nice to see that even as the world burns, 2020 is no different: heavy tunes galore for heavy times.
I fucking love this guy and Banger tv. Thanks for all the material! I use to spend hours everyday searching new bands and music but now, being an adult, this show helps a lot !!! Thanks and keep on rocking !!!
Hey man, there's still plenty to smile about. Shut off the news for a few days and try and get out into the countryside. Smile at a tree. It's good for the soul. There's no joy in the news, joy doesn't sell, and you personally have no ability to change any of that nonsense. So forget it for a few days, it'll still be there when you get back, and you can work on not worrying about it after a break. Enjoy something for a couple of days, smile at something dumb. Look after yourself. And if you're stuck in a really shitty situation, try and get out and get somewhere else. Plot your revenge. Meet Francis and incorporate her revenge on Seattle into it, just for the fuck of it. This is just a dumb meaningless scrawl really, the only point was that you sounded sad/stressed, and some dumb fuckwit on the internet cared enough to want you to grin. So that's something?
Hang in there Blayne, the last time I ugly cried was in 2006 when I buried a good friend and fellow Marine that died after getting shot in Iraq. I know how you feel and wish you well as you grieve and celebrate Riley’s life and musical legacy.

The new Void Rot is superb stuff, personally it feels awesome to be working with M. over at Sentient Ruin and alongside them in the retinue of excellent bands.
Dude, this year is amazing for new metal albums, and FUCKING SHIT in pretty much every other way. RIP Riley, and thank you, dude..🤘😔✊ Anyway, thanks for the great suggestions every month. It’s pathetic, but this is one of the few things I have to look forward to every month at this point. 🙏😈🤘♾
I was lucky to have met Riley, was nice enough and I got his auto. When I heard he died, I took it pretty rough. He will be greatly missed. R.I.P. Riley.
Man it was a sad year, Pete Way died, Frankie Banali from Quiet Riot died, now Riley gone :/ may they Rest in Peace. Their music will live on through the heart of the metal community
I don’t get too down when famous people pass one, but this one really bummed me out. My thoughts are with his family and friends. He had such a huge impact and may be rest in power.
I've been excited for the Void Rot album. I'm from Minneapolis and we need something good to come from this town right now. Also, when I saw that Persekutor video I thought Midnight had a new album! All of these sounded pretty good to me this month.
Sorry to hear about Riley, I'd only recently discovered Power Trip - he, and they collectively, surely had so much more to give the world. On a lighter note, I am keenly looking forward to this Void Rot release. Thanks BangerTV for the tip.
i still can't think too much about Riley's death nor say it out loud. i obviously didn't know him, but it hurt. my brain, (in sad robot voice) "cannot compute".
Rest In Peace & Power Brother, and second last month brought us a load of amazing Metal music by bands like Heathen, Skeletal Remains, Kataklysm, Oceans of Slumber & the Deftones 🌊 🎵 🎼 🎶 😉 ✌️ ☮️ Now on the other side of the Heavy Metal spectrum I really enjoy the new album by Sweden’s own Night even though they actually play a great brand of 70/80s inspired Rock which is equally brilliant, but for this episode you should’ve had 2 Pallet Cleanses because of another fantastic band I actually discovered a few years ago: Aftertime is a Symphonic Power Metal band from Rochester Minnesota who’s been making some KILLER music since their inception on December 29th, 2012 & they’ve finally released their long awaited masterpiece “The Farthest Shore” last month; this album will definitely make everyone stand up & take serious notice of the impressive performance that this quintet, led by singer/songwriter Sarah Wolf, brings to the head banging table & equally gives it new life: I actually know it because for a fan of Epica, Nightwish, Kamelot, & Within Temptation like me having discovered this exceptional new band helped me realize that THERE REALLY IS a market for some surprisingly beautiful, majestic USA Power Metal & they really deliver THE GOODS 🐺 👩🎤 🎵 🎼 🎶 👍 🇸🇪 😊 😉 🤘🏻
Thank a lot man from Colombia, I think this is the most important video that i can check for my actual project !!! We need return to the roots ??? i mean, use the roots mixing with the extreme ...
I most have been sleeping for a long time because I never heard of Power Trip before. they are freaking awesome. I just wish bad news is not the reason I found out about them.
