That's a nice trailer! Regardless of the weight of the trailer being towed, it's always best to get an EBC to prevent the trailer, when improperly loaded, from causing you to lose control. As far as the weight, remember that the amount of cargo in the truck counts towards that 5,000 lb. limit. Skid plates, rock sliders, roof racks, front bumpers, rear bumpers and winches all count toward that limit as well. And just because you're under that number does not mean that your brakes will still work really well and that your transmission won't overheat. The max running range for the 4Runner transmission is only 190 degrees. Still, this trailer is well thought out and definitely worth using.
Awesome trailer, very thoughtful. Id definitely drive it with a brake controller though.. useful coming down steep slippery hills you can dial it up for more control ;)
Good day to you! I am a grandpa rider on HONDA motorcycle from Japan. Enjoying camping ,touring and upload video. Your camper video is so nice! Awesome! Full supported ! Have a nice day my friend!
No, I am not. We started speaking because he was looking for a Land Cruiser and came across my channel. We spoke a bunch and finally decided to shoot a video. Now he also has a Land Cruiser (well LX470 essentially a 100 series floating on clouds)
I do like it, but this one is in the same configuration as the ones where they drive on the left side of the road. So, kitchen and awning on the wrong side.
Pretty cool trailer, looks well built. Don't like the awnings being so flat. I've seen one that is higher at the pivot point so water drains off easier, and they need a soft gutter to channel water to a couple different points on the perimeter to drain away. Needs more water storage. I would be fine with a cooler in place of the fridge. My electric needs while camping are small, area lighting and charging electronics and run a pump probably. The sink and cooktop are weird being in the same unit, would prefer them to be separate and not crammed together with the cooler or fridge. Is this using the Joolca water pump or just the water heating?
I am actually at their new warehouse right now filming the new Gen 2 Trailer!! USA Built, more water storage, everything improved from customer feedback! Video posting soon
What is the wheel size? Lets say your on a slight slope, how do you level the trailer? Are the 4 stabilizer legs adjustable (is that an option? I really like this trailer. OH are there side panels for privacy with the awning you offer?
Let us know! Definitely you can do it cheaper than Patriot or Turtle, but lower than LOBO, without compromising quality? It really comes down to quality components, suspension, and all the things you touch... Keep us posted!
Well, if it was an empty shell it would be much lighter. However once you start adding tray racks, fridge, Red Arc, Batteries, Water, provisions it adds up brother.. You know 40 gallons of water alone is 400lbs? It is built to have gear, not store your feathers.
