Some certainly do. Stalker 2 or (especially) The Outer Worlds 2. Others have only the post-apocalyptic vibe, which is not enough to make them "like Fallout".
@@jor-el1298 Stalker is not really similar. Yes, it's post-apocalyptic, but that's about it. Gameplay, mechanics, premise are all different. Stalker is not an RPG; probably Stalker 2 won't be either, but who knows!
true frostpunk should be nowhere near this list, while ashfall at least seems to fit (most everything else is closer to STALKER, which is great, but doesn't fit the title of this vid)
The western theme there hits right at home for me. Being born in Tucson, and raised in Phoenix. I love the southwestern style. I'll be keeping your game on my radar.
Some original ideas which is great to see. Video games are starting to be like modern music though. There is less and less original content every year.
Fallout 76 taught so many people a lesson. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE! There have been a ton of games who have CLAIMED to look crazy epic only to be stupid soups of 8-bit code. Don't get into anything that is or has never been in closed, true beta testing with non-employees of the dev company. Bethesda promised a lot when Fallout 76 was announced. The only thing it did in the end was ripped off millions from BS marketing, lose their shirt, lose millions of fans and when it was all said and done, they also lost a few billion dollars, eventually their company and their rights to the "Fallout" series. Another example...the promises made by the devs of Cyberpunk2077.
I like in “Rooted” the possibility to build shelters and outposts resembling very much Fallout feature which I really enjoyed. I wish it will come to XBOX
Kudos to the guys making "Pioneer". Gameplay looks solid, so far. And the visuals are fantastic. It's inspiring as an indie game designer what can still be accomplished from a visual standpoint in UE4. Another UE4 game that amazed me in the visuals department was Trepang 2. That game also has very satisfying combat.
Can't wait for June,Once Human is a great game so far. F2P and 0 microtransactions except skins bought with in-game currency. Devs listened to beta testers and made a lot of changes for the better of the game. Build a base, vehicles, missions, pvp (full time pvp on CERTAIN servers,PVE has some "choice"pvp if you want it),world bosses, and best of all so far a really great community on the servers I've played on. Think we only booted 2 people the entire time (6 months or so). Hope to see ya'll in!
Why these games are not **like** Fallout (particularly FO4): 1. The majority of them are not RPGs. 2. None of them contain all the elements of Fallout - looter/shooter, RPG, base building, a unique lore-filled world, player agency in an open world sandbox, to name the main ones. 3. None of them allow you to choose 1st or 3rd gameplay and switch between them seamlessly. 4. None of them have Dogmeat. Nor memorable companions like Piper, Hancock, Nick Valentine (and those are just from FO4). 5. A gigantic modding community, allowing for endless replayability.
