The fact that Kastking is showcased by TackleWarehouse nowadays shows how far they've come. I'm a Daiwa supporter through and through, but I have a couple of Kastking reels because they're just awesome.
@@mmancino1982 Just out of curiosity, which one did you have? I love my Sharky III with the bait feeder. Catches large sharks and stingrays no problem. Had it for over 3 years and still running like a champ.
@@mrfilamfishing tried the kestrel, speed demon elite and Spartacus. Every one of them had bad bearings and shit the bed after like 3 months. I do have a couple rods and I will say I like those very much
I bought some about 3-4 years ago....3 or 4 of them. And all but one of them fell apart within 2-3 years. I do like their braided line though. Also I think they're very good at marketing.
I'm a huge Shimano fanboy and can't wait to pick up the new Vanford just because! I have absolutely no need for yet another inshore reel but I just can't help myself.
I said it before but bates reels are amazing. Anyone thinking of shimano or Daiwa needs to pick one up. I would trade all of my other reels for them. Thier warranty is backed up to. Kevin took care of a small problem on one of mine.
@@Daiwa_Is_King Nah I disagree. I’ve have that one and the steez A and ct along with the most of the shimanos. The bates is better quality, palms nicer and cast just as far. All the Daiwa’s and shimanos are niche…you need a 70 size for this or a 200 size for that. The hundo will do everything in-between. Just doesn’t hold as much line for some techniques
The Shimano dude bragging about swapping felt washers for carbon is serving up a beautiful sh*t sandwich. “Trickle down technology” lol. Felt is supreme to carbon for ultra lite. It costs them more than carbon, so they’re switching over. I will be swapping the washers or buying previous gen models.
The new Daiwa Tatula SV 100 will be more versatile then the 150? What I mean 100 size for all around techniques and the 150 for large braid and frogging? (Sorry just trying to make sure I understand correctly)
I think KastKing just leap frogged Daiwa in the App reels. I was looking at the Daiwa's new IMZ TW 200-C the other day here in Japan and from what I've seen so far the IREEL2 has it beat as far as what it can do and the features. KastKing doing amazing things in the industry. :)
@@mrfilamfishing That's true but my point was the IReel2 has tech the IMZ doesn't have and in a smaller package. It will be interesting to see how Daiwa responds.
In order: 1. KK is founded on 100k and releases OEM reels and braid. 2013. 2. They suck but they sell. 2014-2018. They also released the Bassinator and Perigee in 2016-17. This challenges 13 fishing directly. 3. Speed Demon picks a fight with the Revo Rocket for fastest reel. 2018. 4. 10.5:1 becomes unbeatable and Abu quits the race. 2020. KK says they can go to 12.1:1 and 54ipt if they're pushed. That's unthinkable but they proved it in a video. 5. 13 eats it. Not out of business but not producing anything right now. The Perigee is stated as a reason as is the Bassinator. 2023. 6. Daiwa is next. The Ireel drops. By gen 2 which is 1 year, they've pulled ahead on tech. 2023-2024. 7. They're the only "Amazon" brand on TW, BPS, etc. They own the means of production now, which is why Abu and 13 are struggling, because they bought the factory all 3 use. 2024. Go look up the vengeance G2. The red one. They had to use the KK RLGT body. They lost. KK is number 1 at one thing, improving on established tech. Give them a good idea and they'll innovate. The new halo 12 system and AMB are patented. So is their Ireel system. They take your weapon and beat you with it.
If i have to hear that a reel made in the 2020s is "smooth" one more time, im gonna throw all my gear into the ocean. Of course its smooth ITS BRAND NEW! Whats it like when you get snagged while the boat is moving and you snap off before the driver gets to stop the boat? Whats it like after 50+ 4+lb fish in all 4 seasons rain or shine?
Shimano...what a dissapointment on tranx 400. Side plate falls off even with latch closed. Parts backordered months. I advise against their products and lack of support
The "I-Reel" is one of the more useless reels on the market.. What a waste of good money. Kastking has forgotten their original message "affordable", what a joke.
That lews is ugly. Lews, stop with the gimmick nonsense. Make reels like the custom, custom lite, custom pro, tournament pro, tournament lite.... good reels and reasonably priced
