I don't do a lot of metalwork, so didn't want to drop a lot of money on a Milwaukee porta band saw. I went with the Bauer and mounted it to a SWAG Offroad table. The Bauer cuts through steel plate like a knife through butter...easily handles up to the 1/2 inch plate I had as well as 1/4-inch angle. So far I'm happy with it.

I saw a video that showed that you remove the blade guard/ stop off the saw, then you can move the saw forward enough to make the switch work

I guess you guys all noticed the two mistakes he made they're at the beginning on the little shock arm and the way he's got the cord run . There's a ball that sticks out you can see it in the video that the shock arm goes on and there's a pre-cut hole at the cord goes through

that switch will work, just takes a lot of adjustment

Great review. Just set mine up. Seems solid and well made for 99 bucks!! Although, I have a feeling they're going to jack up the price to at least 125 in the future.

Yes you're definitely right I bought one paid $119 for it and it was just a very short time after they came out at 99.00 I also got the Hercules song for The Stand and of course they raised the price of it quite a bit too after the stand come out and as much as this song cost $170 179.00 it didn't even come with a blade I had to make another trip back down to where I bought it to buy doggone blade and nobody told me that I didn't get a blade with it

Cutting PVC pipe is not a test for any type of saw most anything will cut that should have tried some steel I've been using mine in knife-making and does a really good job cutting and easy to get a good straight cut
