Thanks for another fun video. If you can get your hands on a Night Visionaire, you won't need lights on the runway. That plane glows bright enough to light the runway for you. Sadly, it doesn't keep the mosquitoes from carrying you off into the beans to suck you dry. Night flying sounds great, but it's usually too buggy or too cold to really be fun.
The Twotter is one of the best aircraft on the globe. There's still bugger all that does the job as well. It's not a pretty model, though. I used to work with fella who took off in a twotter using only one engine...he had PAX onboard. That's asymmetric thrust, for ya.
I've done a couple of night flights with my UMX TT. Even though it is mostly fun, having lots of trees around my property and diminished depth perception due to the darkness there is an element of stress introduced when flying at night. You're so right about being familiar with the area that you pick to do night flying.
SWEET baby Twin Otter AND very COLORFUL!! I do remember the last night lights videos and this should be just as FUN!! Thanks Saylors, you HONESTLY light up my life!! Had to throw some "corny" in there. 💟👍😘
Hope Kids are well. Tks for The Review. I feel The Industry has the Differencial thrust Dialed in. It was wonky on a few early tries industry wide.. Thank Goodness for "Safe" to bail out of induced flat spin. Love the Horizion Box planes
I recently bought a Night Radian via the link of one of your night flight week vids. Have it all assembled, waiting for good weather. Also going to install a special controller that would allow me to change the "lights", patterns, etc. Hopefully I'll get it in the air within the next month. Hoping all are well in the RC Saylors Clan. And yes...I'll maiden the NR during the day. Promise.
Really like this plane, I'm planning to add extra lights to mine to make it a true night plane, already did it with my UMX Timbers, the stock lights aren't enough for me at night.
Loved the show. The Twin Otter is one of my favorite Aircraft and that looks like a great model of one. I'm stepping back from any purchase of anything until the industry adapts to the new FAA rules in the US. Limiting myself to a community sponsored, FAA registered location is not an option for me and September 2023 is not that far away.
I can tell you confidently, that you have nothing to worry about. However, if you wish to wait for any purchases, you have every right to do so! If our govt really cared about our safety, our full sized vehicles would have governors in them and limit our speed to the actual speed limits. And people are worried about 2lb foam toys, lol.
@@TheRcSaylors I figure my first home made drone is trash in September. I have 2 home made foamies, one of them is based off drawings of the twin otter, both under the 250 gram limit so ok. My DJI AIR is under the limit. Yes the FAA could take away my real pilot license if my neighbor complains so I will wait until the product states that it meets the requirements. I'm sure it will only be a short wait. Again love the review and I will probably purchase one later this year.
Nice flying in semi dark. Ace Saylor Nate , Ever consider a FULL dark flight. Does the airport turn their runway lights on. 🤔 I believe you could do it.‼️‼️‼️. ⚓⚓👍💚💜💛👍🤔‼️‼️👍.
Aaah now I want to take my Turbo Timber Evolution out for a night flight. Got a cold weather lipo solution already... just not the skills or flight time to safely fly at night yet 🤣
Always a big fan of the Twin Otter. I don't know if I posted this before, but this past summer, I got to see a Twin Otter IRL! I shot a short video of a Royal Canadian Air Force Twin Otter in Search & Rescue livery using their "reverse gear". 🙂 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZxT7z5LOdR0.html
Gonna have to highly disagree here. The HK night Walrus is $125. Easily flies 20 minutes, larger, and brighter. Also I would say from the looks of your flying that the night walrus can fly slower as it is more of a glider.
I’ve owned, and know two people that own that garbage plane. It flies really poorly, but even worse is backed by an extremely awful company. I’m surprised to hear anyone say anything good about the night walrus, honestly. But I honestly am very happy for you, that you enjoy that plane! I’ve just had a different experience with it and those that I know, who also own one have had various issues with it as well. But as long as you are flying and having fun, that’s what matters 👍😁😎⚓️
