Thanks for the in-depth breakdown. I've been using OBS but the shadowplay clipping makes life way easier, and allows me to record in higher quality without worrying about space.
Thank you for this video, man. I subbed and liked as well. This helped get the ball rolling with no effort or confusion on my part. I appreciate you have a great week!
I used outplayed but it messed with my fps so I decided to give this chance and your video helped me set it up. Plan to use it today. I just with it would automatically record like outplayed without having to remember that I need to press buttons lol
dude outplayed got me w that ad too i downloaded it and next thing I know I have 3 other programs called Wolf or some BS and the recording wasnt even good / bogged my computer down / would always open as I launched a game making my games crash. worst recording software ive used by a mile and Ive only used like 3 🤣
Video Capture > 2 Minutes > 60 FPS > 60 MBPS is what I recommend for very strong 1080p PCs. With notifications, I would leave everything off except "Saved last X minutes and Y seconds to Gallery". Imagine thinking you saved your gameplay, and it never happened because you hit the wrong key or something. Definitely recommend this.
Thanks for the video. Have you ever had the experience of Shadowplay recordings being super washed out and overexposed? I'm dealing with that right now and have no idea how to fix it.
Nice job mate! Good advice on all settings. I find it curious that both 1080p and 1440p recordings produce the same size files, at least according to shadowplay. I normally record at 1440p/60 fps 30bitrate which produces 1.1gb/5 min files which shadowplay says is the same as 1080p.
I just have a question. Does your monitors hz make a difference in the quality of your recording? I have a 360hz monitor, and the recordings are terrible. I used all the settings you said to use, but it doesn't make a difference. Can it be that it looks like that because it is only taking clips in 60fps?
My Man! Really appreciate this but really appreciate the little details/info on why you decided on the settings you did! And you actually tested it You're not just going off what you think😂 Appreciate You my G! Happy New Year brother! 🗓️🍾🥂🎊🎉🎇🎆
i cant figure out why on mw3 it will NOT record mw3.. it only tries to record my desktop.. makes no sense. only started happening moving from win10 to win11
I just wish we could set a codec on modern hardware. We've had hardware support for h.265 since the 900 series, and now with 4000 series, we have access to AV1.
Is there a difference between nividia filter color changes and digital vibrance in the nividia control panel? For some reason my nivida digital vibrance doesn't work so I'm forced to do it with the game filter with shadow play. Also with streaming with obs is there a performance hit with having instant replay on and streaming at the same time?
it depends on your monitor and graphics card I think, but mainly monitor like if u have a tn panel it might not be the best looking but idk much about it
Thank you for the awesome video. Do you by chance know why after I record a video, I go to play it on a media player, the recording is very dim? I don't know if that is normal or I have a setting wrong. Appreciate any input, thank you.
I love both obs and shadowplay. i mainly use shadowplay cause I configured it to work for most games I play, cause when I first built my pc it didn't record discord audio etc. but I dislike that a 9 min video is over 2-5 gb. (reason the file size being massive for me is because I haven't bought an extra storage space. i plan to buy another one tho)
I’m trying to get my discord call in my clips It sounds super grainy and bad. Everything else sounds good though. Just the discord call. Any suggestions?
I use 15 seconds instant replay for fortnite. Theres barely been times where I've actually had important stuff happen like 16-30 seconds before I clipped.
Hi bro. I tested it to record stray game. I feel like the colour from the record is quite different from in game play. Is it normal, or there is other setting for the colour?
This is happening to me. When i capture videos the videos turn out brighter than the ingame. I even went as far to disable HDR and Bloom and the videos are still brighter than ingame.
Does Shadowplay fix the issue with multi monitor setup? It was keep on stop recording if you move cursor to 2nd monitor to check or reply on notification while playing game.
My instant replay will be on when I boot up my pc and when I press my shortcut to record the last 5 mins. It doesn’t record I never use to have this issue! Now I have to turn it off and than back on for it work?
Does it necessary to download shadowplay even though already have built in geforce experience?(already have record, instant replay except privacy option)
For some unknown reason, my shadowplay stopped recording my gaming audio. Everything about sound is set correct. Do you have any idea of what's going on?
how do i record my mic in mono? I have an XLR mic and when I clip things it only plays my mic on the left side of the headphones while the game Is in both. Normally in Medal or other software there is an option to just change the mic from stereo to mono but i cant find that option here
hey, i have a question, so...i just installed this and i was looking around it to see if there is an option for it to NOT record my discord call, so my firends voices dont apear in te video, and aparentrly there is no way to do it? or im just missing something
the only thing i hate is that the webcam cant be customized more, like for example: moving the webcam square just a little to the bottom center instead of the corner, also the web cam looks distorted in comparison with the real video output you can see in Nvidia Broadcast for example
I record my videos in 4k but after uploading it the resolution limits to 108060fps only and i want it to be in 4k only. Please help, i have searched so many videos regarding this issue.🙏🏻
So, I duplicated your settings exactly, but my recording are coming out super gravely and bass boosted for some reason. I think the video is fine, but my audio is terrible. Any tips for fixing that?
your gpu usage might be high which could bottleneck the encoding. you could download a program called process lasso or prio to permanantly give shadowplay higher priority
the only reason i get a Nvidia card is shadowplay. it is just so seamless, so effortless. however, i still hate everything about Gforceexprience. really wish there is a way to remove that but maintain SP. i dont think NVclean installer can do that, correct me if it can. a side note: i am still on 471 drive, last time I upgraded to 5XX driver, my game just quits instantly without any warning, however it does allow me to tab in and out game instantly (playing on 16:10 but desktop is ofc 16:9 native), which was a huge plus. that shows driver alone can help with that pet peeve.
Unsolicited advice but, if you’re a high fps 1080p player I think you’d benefit from more than 16GB ram. I think thats only time ram really matters in terms of gaming.
do you know why my clips are so laggy and my recordings son every software i have a great pc 2060ti intel 5 2nd gen and 16gb ram and all my clips / recordings are laggy any reason why?
