Love how disrespectful his game is. He will walk you down to his spot every time, drop you, shoot that shit right in your eye, pick your pocket, and just make you look so slow and stupid on both sides of the ball. The GOAT edit: I just realized he is basically a fusion of Jason Williams and Gary Payton, two quintessential point guards who represent the passing of a torch and the changing of the times in that position to me. the Glove's defensive skill and tenacity, methodical game of backing you down to his hot spots, and his epic trash talk meet J-Dub's flashy passing and insane handles to make one hell of a baller
More like Chris Paul and Rondo in terms of play. I don't think there's a player that ever said he's absolute, Gary Payton talks a lot whereas Akashi is silent mostly. In term's of style of play, everyone respects Paul's game but doesn't like him in general, and the way he can manipulate an offense, rondo too, he knows the other teams' plays and knows how to use his teammates to the fullest, and his passing is always accurate and doesn't turn the ball over at times.
@@johnpaulgonzalez9016 prime rondo is another excellent comparison, although I don't agree that akashi is mostly silent that mf was talking so much trash lmao
@@l3ftie578 If Steve Nash was an Ahole then you'll get 2nd personality akashi although Nash plays within the system and doesn't really take over, that's when Chris Paul comes in the mix.
I can definitely see the Gary Payton comparison when it comes to Akashi since he’s obviously got the glove badge on hof but j-will is a perfect comparison to him because he did two moves that were similar to j-wills at 4:30 in the video and the elbow pass
Beim 1.
He’s his antithesis, not only for the colors which are opposites, red + white (akashi) and blue + black (kuroko) but the concepts as well Akashi is about control, Genius strategiest, that relies only on himself but kuroko can only support his teamates and buffs them
Fun fact they were actually going to go with a concept I don’t know if it’s true but I think I saw this post from a long time ago the author was going to indeed make Akashi and kuroko brothers but he said that would just make things to dramatic and if you really pay attention to some parts of the show Akashi kinda looks like kuruko and ofc Akashi was going to be older brother
