What's crazy is he had a 3 bedroom, 2 and a half bath house and garage, with a full basement, 2 kids and a dog and he took care of all if it working at a shoe store. One of the best shows ever created.
@TRUMP Won that’s a very closed minded way of looking at it. I’ve been married for 7 years and have never regretted it one single day. It’s about the one you choose. A lot of people get married for the wrong reasons. That’s the problem, not marriage itself. I would have been perfectly happy never being married, but the right woman came into my life so I did. Had nothing to do with being alone.
@@soonersdevil There is another episode where he's in a room with a woman who is all over him. He could have done what he wanted and Peg would never have found out, but he said no because he was a good man who loved his wife. Al Bundy is the hero we need.
I'm 50 years old. Wanna hear TV magic? "Married...with Children" came out when I was 15-16 years old and couldn't give a shit less about TV. Too busy high-schooling, working for a few bucks, and BEING OUTSIDE. Now? THIS entire series on DVD is the ONLY show that plays on my 10 year old television, and $35 dvd player. Why? BECAUSE IT'S GOLD.
I am 52 and I was just getting out of marine corp security force training for sea duty when the first episode aired. I did my time and was out before the final season
Peg: Al do you have to leave the refrigerator door open, I'm getting a draft? AL: I'm sorry, maybe I should look for some food in the dishwasher. LMAO 🤣 🤣
I remember the ground breaking struggles and complaining, protests and all well against fox when it came out I was hoping they'd keep my new favorite show on tv
The good old days when people could laugh at themselves and had a sense of humour and thicker skins. Married with children = great show. Modern times suck .
@@ThomasFromTN Show me a show in the last 10 years that was in your face with the truth and not covered in liberal political correctness. What's your problem if what everyone keeps saying is true. You COULDN'T make a show like Married with Children today. The demoncrats would start the apocalypse.
This had to be THE most hysterical show on TV. There was absolutely nothing like it at the time. I feel like more people had a sense of humor 30+ years ago. Now, shows like this unfortunately wouldn't be allowed to air.
To be more precise, I'd say the whole series! Oops, unless that's what your implication was when you referred to the "whole show". Either way, you're right.
I still watch it sometimes. Still have the dvds from the early 00s 😂😂. It’s great and cheers me up about today’s times. Escape for awhile, you deserve it!
He was def. the most tolerant/defeated one. Never left despite Peg not really doing her part and the kids being little leeches most of the time. He was never choleric or abusive in a real way (just with spicy sarcams). He let everyone do their thing and just wanted some peace.
This is great and all, but did you know that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game for the Polk High Panthers, in the championship game versus Andrew Johnson High, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon?
I grew up on this show and I always had a thing for Peg. She was always down for some good times. I used to think Al was nuts to refuse her. Being married for 11 years with a son and daughter, I get it now, I’m turning into the man that raised me. Best tv dad of all time.
My 2 kids grew up watching Beavis and Butthead,Southpark,Simpsons, and played video games all the time. One is an engineer one is a cancer researcher. Oh yes,Married with Children too!!My parents were horrified. To all moms and dads...kids are amazing!!
The first season had completely different energy than the following ones. I much prefer the later ones. In the first season, Al and Peg were much more normal and more affectionate towards each other.
I agree. Typically, actors like to tweak their roles over time, based on the audience reaction. The first season of any series is always more of an "experiment" than anything else. Once the writers and actors on this show got comfortable with the level of craziness they could show without repercussions, they took it up a notch.
I watched a ton of MWC when I was young and my favorite episodes were always the mid to later season episodes - I think they really came into their own. Childish Al Bundy was the best Al Bundy.
All 4 main characters improved greatly over the seasons and peaked imo between seasons 4-6. They crafted their personalities and voices to perfection. Especially Peg and Bud.
I used to go to high school (16/17). Chicken sandwich from Burger King was $2 or the meal $4.75. Enjoy this wonderful show while eating with my late father. Rip 80s and 90s.
Idiots: Modern Family is the best show Ed O'neill has ever been to 😊. He plays such a cool husband Me: Hahahahahaha 🤣 Idiots: I know right, the show is soo funn... 🤨 wait a minute, why are you pointing at me while you laugh?
Eleven seasons that touched EVERY SINGLE THING that a wife wants to say to a husband, and that a husband wants to say to a wife. And? THEY. STUCK. TOGETHER.
That lil boy plays a kid version of AL Bundy in the episode where AL returns an old library book which he has to pay a few thousand dollars for late fees.
There's been so many stupid-cheezy sitcoms over the years with the perfectly kept house and the well-dressed characters who are all happy and life is wonderful!! ...Then there's Al!! Here was a truly FUNNY sitcom I think every guy could relate to (even the gals too!). Try to keep from laughing while watching this show...I triple-dog dare 'ya!!
Considering a lot 🤔 of people my age grew up watching 👀 " The Honeymooners " with Alice, Ralph, Trixie, and Ed " ; this show was a welcome change ! I used to always watch this show and laughed at every episode 😂! My favorite was " It's A Bundyful Life ! ".Please RU-vid post this episode before Christmas 🎄?
