Cup of beans scene is genius!!! The quickness of getting the sausage and beans, the man leaving Michael's house with no explanation, the concern when Alan says you haven't got a spoon? The fact that Michael doesn't let Alan in the house. And also the bit not shown here when Michael shouts to leave the cup on the door step.
I read a (dark) theory once that the reason Michael doesn't have a spoon is because hes a heroin addict. It would explain the random man and why he doesn't let Alan in.

Alan partridge is one of the funniest people on his comedy show’s so quick at his rants and raves Best laugh ever!!!! The Caravan videos were the best laugh ever!!!!!! He has so many different programs and he is a great actor indeed
I love Steve Coogan, but also the supporting cast is absolutely brilliant - every single actor/actress. This show has enormous replay value - can't get tired of it.
I’m from the Netherlands so I don’t get all the references, but Alan Partridge is definitely my favorite English humor of all time. I’ve watched everything from him 😂🙌🏻
@@mattiemclean9882 some of the references he makes to people and some of the banter he does. Obviously I get why the jokes are funny but I don’t really get why they’re funny.
The second series was more pure sitcom and a little over the top, the first series was slightly more nuanced with elements of a fly on the wall documentary.
Over the years we’ve seen so many comedians become so big with talent. But this one’s been going with constant genius for years. Can’t get enough AP lol
They really caught magic in a bottle with these two series. For some reason nothing Alan partridge before or since seems to capture the same character. He is someone who is annoying but if real I would love to go for a pint with. Reminds me a lot of black adder. The first series was still testing the water then they struck gold with the next 3 series then were unable to recapture the genius in anything since.
@@Albrecht777 There's another comment on this video claiming a very dark reason why Michael doesn't have one (under the comment by Adam Heeley), I don't know how true it is.
That Blue Peter thing nails it. Although Peter Purves (probably can't spell it) was well before my time and Blue Peter probably isn't a thing anymore, unless it's on MineCraft (which probably is spelt wrong and was cool five years ago).
