I've been using Paula's Choice for years! I have so many favourite products. I absolutely love the Moisture Boost cleanser. If you have normal to oily skin and find cleansers for oily skin too drying, give this one a try. It is EXCELLENT!
I have found so many high end products that I just love this year. I never made makeup a priority until the past two years or so. Then I found RU-vid and my collection has been curated and is becoming something that sparks joy.
BTW, you started this, I needed information on false lashes for a special event about 2 years ago and found one of your instructional videos. My makeup life has exploded since then.
Tarte shape tape is definitely my favorite of the year! Covers my super dark undereye circles and stays put! No creasing or settling into my fine lines.
Also the Modern Renaisance palette flew under my radar for way too long, but I got it with the sephora vib coupon a few weeks ago, and it's amazing. I love that it doesn't have any true overlap with UD Naked 3 but works well with the same shades. The dark pinks and reds are allowing me to have some holiday fun!

Ahhhh modern renaissance, I love it so much! As I was a little dissapointed with my last 2 palettes purchased (TF bonbons and MJ 20icon for 2015holidays), I'm so happy to have found this one. But my biggest 💜 this year is the Hourglass bronzer. it's so damn expensive that I didn't want to try it, but then I saw the baby one, so even thought it's a little more when compared to amount of product, it's a little less $$$ so I got it... but now I want the full size because it's pure love between it and me 😂

I think it was released last year, but my best high-end discovery this year was the Tartelette In Bloom palette. Fantastically versatile and amazing quality.
I love the Chanel Les Beiges powder. It's beautiful and looks really nice on my dry skin. It sets my foundation and still looks luminous. Definitely worth the money
The Modern Renaissance palette and the Shape Tape were my faves of 2016. You made me want the cream blush! I loved this video because I really trust your opinions about choices for fair skin.
I agree with Paula's Choice. I used La Mer forever, but it wasn't doing much for me anymore. Switched to Elemis, and that stopped helping after a while. Switched to Elemis but that wasn't doing much anymore. I still use the Resurfacing Face wash which is amazing. I received a sample of Paula's Choice BHA skin perfecting and was blown away! So less expensive. Works better for me than anything else I've tried this past year. I highly recommend the entire line!
The Modern Renaissance is really too red/orange for me, but the Master Palette by Mario surprised me so much -- I LOVE it, and did not think I would, since I am Casper with freckles
I agree with you with many, if not all of your fab finds. Quick story, I was in need of a concealer it I decided to go with cheapest one which happened to be tortes shape tape, that's when I fell in love with it, lol
I love the shape tape & Lancome Absolue Powder in the lighter shade. I'm also loving UD eyelid eyeshadow base in the extra moisturizing tube. I've been using Smashbox undereye primer as well as Eve Pearl primer. I also use the MUFE smoothing primer on nose ....yep, takes me forever to get ready.
LOL! Yup! If only you knew how many people equate that with having lip injections! Ugh! You learn so much about yourself after being on RU-vid - haha ;)
I LIKE the tarte shape tape concealer but I'm not over the moon about it. I would probably purchase it again but there are others I find that I reach for more. A big highend/luxury hit for me this year is the By Terry hyaluronic hydra powder.. i have dry under eyes so it works SO well at setting my under eyes and not looking powdery at all. I've used it a majorly of the year and the container is still full! The ABH palette has been a big hit for me too and that says a lot since I have such cool undertones and tend to reach for cooler shadows more. The artis brushes are FABULOUS too! 2016 has been a great year for great discoveries!
My prize possession is my Kat Von D Metal Mattes pallette. I didn't think I would be able to get hold of one in the UK but luckily, one of our big high street stores - Debenhams - began to stock her products. I didn't like my Tarte Shape Tape at first because I felt that it looked too thick on my dark circles, but then I realized it was an, "Oops! My bad" issue because I was putting on WAAAAAAYYYYY too much! Once I cut the amount used to only a fraction of what I used to, I fell in love with it! I'm wanting to try the Anastasia palette and the foundation you mentioned.

I finally got the Shape Tape, caught it on the Tarte website during a restock, you have to be quick because twice within 24 hours they were in then out of stock, I am so excited to see what the hype is all about. Next, I really want to try the Marc Jacobs lipglosses but I have to say this year my new favorite obsession is Makeup Geek shadow singles...i might be late to the game but these are new for me and i have never used a shadow that is so perfect...no fallout, they blend like a sream and the wear time is amazing, the color stayed on until i took it off. Jefree Star highlighters are the best on the planet as well as his liquid lipsticks, my new fave being Sagitarrius which is still in stock and i don't know how or why that could be. My favorite: IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ cream. My only complaint is the scant color selection. I have to buy two shades and mix them on back of my hand. It looks and feels like my skin. Whenever I wear it, people tell me I look healthy/well rested/younger.
MAC FIX PLUS!! CLiche I'm sure, but my skin looks like a pro applied it! lol...Powders...with the rest of my makeup looks flawwwwlesss!!! Love that stuff!

Okay, I think I am going to be making my after Christmas shopping list from this video. I have been thinking about trying the Kevin Aucoin foundation, the Givenchy face powder, and the tarte shape tape (if I can find it). I am about 10 years older than you and have EXTREMELY oily skin (no it does not get better with age--but that could be a good thing) and live in south Alabama which has basically the same climate as you live in. It is supposed to be 73 on Christmas day. Speaking of, I hope you have a Merry Christmas!!!!

Hmmm the powder sounds interesting, I've been using the Innissfree no-sebum one, but I like to switch it up now and then, so perhaps I will try it next! Nice video!
Shape Tape is my fave too, I just ordered a second shade, because I did find that the Light oxidizes a tiny bit on me now (it was fine in the summer). I think I do need to try that Kevyn Aucoin foundation, though it's more of a splurge than I really would like.
I have loved the Marc Jacobs Remarcable foundation! My oily/combo skin loves it and it has lasted me 16 hours. I think you did not care for it, if I remember correctly, but for me and my skin, it has been a real winner. I can't wait to get my hands on your concealer fav, the Tarte Shape Tape. Maybe it will be in stock in 2017, lol....
