What is The Breakfast Club about?
The Breakfast Club is a 1985 American independent teen coming-of-age comedy-drama film written, produced, and directed by John Hughes. It stars Emilio Estevez, Paul Gleason, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, and Ally Sheedy. The film tells the story of five teenagers from different high school cliques who serve a Saturday detention overseen by their authoritarian vice-principal.

I do kinda sympathize with Bender at 2:00, it's like he like just can't help but talk back, and then he gets angry when he gets in trouble for running his mouth. The struggle is real.

Without a doubt one of my all time favorite movies. Shows being in high school in the 80's about as authentic as it actually was. I was a Bender. But, I always got along across social lines with different types of people. What an awesome ride it was. Thank you John Hughes. God bless.

I always return to this scene, it’s so cute! EDIT - (7:36) To me, John and Allison came off as spiritual siblings specifically: “older jerk brother and his empathetic little sister”.

I was Bender in high skool and still am to this day. Abuse and trauma is real and that behavior is real...it's fun but at the same time miserable

Believe it or not,if you pay attention,he actually cared for everyone there with him and tried to show em a little freedom from the "prison" they were all in despite his own problems at home and was a regular attendee there because he didn't wanna go home,next time watch the whole movie
