From the future there is a pc mod that removes Dante and Virgil’s coats and a rain mod so the two brothers can finally fight shirtless in the rain

you can fight phantom 5 times, griffon 4, Nelo Angelo 4, nightmare 3, and mundus twice, first encounter being his two stage battle, the second encounter is in the sewer where he's falling apart. So every boss is encountered more than once, but mundus is the only one that has a second asset made for him.

When they finish their dmc3 playthrough you should label it best of best friends: dmc2

You can parry Nightmare's spine and "boomerang" attacks. And when you do, he goes into a stun, and the core is exposed for a couple of seconds.

I think it's okay to use items for unavoidable puzzles and circumstances (Like needing air raid and having no enemies nearby to grind DT from)

Because some of the backup data for this game were missing, the team had to recreate parts of the game while watching the original version, especially since the people who made the original were no longer there to help. so Dante's coat was actually added pretty late in development and you can see that in the scene at 4:50 where Dante is getting up after getting stabbed and you can see how thin the back of his jacket is and how it seems to have no real connection to his outfit as from what I can tell that scene was mostly done before the inclusion of the jacket so instead of redoing the who scene they just edited the back in if you watch his coat at the time stamp you will see what I mean
